Mountain View station (NJ Transit)

Mountain View was a station on the Boonton Branch of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad. Located in the Mountain View section of Wayne Township, New Jersey, the station was at the Parish Drive bridge over the tracks. The station was 20.8 miles (33.5 km) away from its terminus at Hoboken Terminal on the shores of the Hudson River, where connections would be made to New York City via ferry and the Hudson and Manhattan Railroad. The western terminus. Denville, was 12.8 miles (20.6 km) away, where connections with the Morris and Essex Railroad were available. Just west of the station was Mountain View junction, where a connection was made to the Erie Railroad's New York and Greenwood Lake Railway was made.

The Wayne Route 23 Transit Center is a mass transportation hub located in Wayne, New Jersey, USA. Operated by NJ Transit, the complex consists of two major components. One is a bus terminal that provides service to Port Authority Bus Terminal, Newark Penn Station, and intermediate points in the surrounding area. The other is a train platform that is connected to the Montclair-Boonton Line and offers service to Hoboken Terminal, connecting service to New York Penn Station, and local service to points between Montclair State University and Hackettstown. It is located off of the southbound lanes of New Jersey Route 23 on West Belt Road, near the interchange where Route 23, I-80, and US 46 meet, across from the Willowbrook Mall. The station opened in January 2008 and has 1,000 parking spaces.New Jersey Transit intends for this combined rail and bus station to become an "interceptor station," that will help relieve the habitual congestion at the West Belt Road Interchange, where the three major highways meet. In addition, the construction of the station was meant also to ease congestion at what was then Route 23 Park & Ride, a bus depot on Route 23 North that has since been renamed Mother's Park & Ride, and the Willowbrook Mall Park & Ride; the now-Mother's site had limited parking while NJT was having trouble with overfull parking areas at Willowbrook.

Willowbrook Mall is a one-level shopping center with a partial second floor located in Wayne, New Jersey, United States. It is near the intersection of New Jersey Route 23, U.S. Route 46, and Interstate 80 in the New York metropolitan area and is situated close to both Essex and Morris counties near the Passaic River. The mall features more than 165 retail establishments and a leasab le area of 1,518,006 square feet (141,027.4 m2).It is the fifth-largest shopping mall in New Jersey. The mall opened in 1969 and was expanded or renovated in 1970, 1988, 2006, and 2015. The mall features Macy's, Bloomingdale's, in addition to a BJ's Wholesale Club and a 14-screen AMC Theatres. With blue laws in effect in neighboring Bergen County and Paramus, Willowbrook Mall has benefited from the spillover of shoppers on Sunday. The mall and its surrounding access roads and parking areas are prone to flooding in rainstorms. The Passaic River flows near the mall and one of its tributaries, and the Pompton River, runs behind it.

The Wayne Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Wayne, in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, in the New York City metropolitan area.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising 14 schools, had an enrollment of 7,895 students and 666.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

Wayne Towne Center is a regional shopping center located in Wayne, New Jersey, in the New York City metropolitan area, adjacent to Willowbrook Mall along Willowbrook Boulevard. As of 2008, the mall had a gross leasable area of 653,000 square feet (60,700 m2). The center formerly operated as an indoor shopping mall from the time when JCPenney was built, in the late 1980s, until its de-malling in 2008. The inner portion of the mall, which had one floor has since been demolished. The center is anchored by JCPenney, Costco, Dick's Sporting Goods, Nordstrom Rack, and UFC Fit. Of the five anchors, JCPenney has been there the longest as it was built along with the original mall. Costco had previously been located in a former Price Club in another shopping center across Willowbrook Boulevard, and decided to move to Wayne Towne Center and its own building when its lease expired. Dick's had long been attached to the center during the de-malling process and eventually opened in 2014. Nordstrom Rack opened in 2015, and UFC Fit opened in 2022.

Packanack Lake is an unincorporated lake community and census-designated place (CDP) in Wayne in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community is located 30 minutes northwest of Manhattan. The median income in Packanack Lake was $100,887, and the average income of households with children was $140,869. 95.9% of Packanack area residents are high school graduates while 57.5% are college graduates. 77.4% of residents are married. 41.4% of residents had children. The average age of residents was 40.6 years old.Gatherings and social events are held on both East Beach (on Lake Drive East) and West Beach (on Lake Drive West) which include band concerts, craft shows, and bonfires.

The Van Ness House, also known as the Peter Van Ness Farmhouse, is located at 236 Little Falls Road in the township of Fairfield in Essex County, New Jersey. The house was built about 1740. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1939. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 29, 1977, for its significance in agriculture and architecture.

Fairfield Dutch Reformed Church is a historic church on Fairfield Road in Fairfield Township, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The congregation was established in 1720 by Dutch settlers. The building dates to 1804 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Pioneer Academy is an independent college-preparatory school for PK-12 grades located in Wayne, in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. The Pioneer Academy curriculum focuses on studies of science, mathematics, cultural studies, and language. The school was founded in 1999 and moved from Clifton to its Wayne campus at the start of the 2013-14 school year.As of the 2022–2023 school year, the school had an enrollment of 418 students (plus 28 in PreK) and 29.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2:1. The school's student body was 77.7% (233) White, 3% (9) Black, 14.3% (43) Asian, 2% (6) Hispanic and 2.7% (8) two or more races.

Preakness Valley Park and Golf Course is located in Wayne Township and Totowa Borough, New Jersey, United States, along Totowa Road (County Road 644) and Riverview Drive (County Road 640). Of the total 377 acres in the park, 298 acres are located in Wayne and 79 are located in Totowa. The park contains a Golf Course, which is a public 36 hole course. Made public in 1931, this full service course is considered the first public golf course in Passaic County. It has a clubhouse, caddy house, practice facilities, and on site maintenance facilities. Also located on the park is Dey Mansion, a historical site famous for being George Washington's headquarters twice during the American Revolutionary War. The mansion was constructed around 1770, and has been county owned since 1930. NJ Transit Bus Route 197 provides service to this park.

The Dey Mansion (pronounced dye), located in modern-day Wayne, Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, and originally known as Bloomsburg Manor, played an integral role in the American Revolutionary War. Built by Col. Theunis Dey in the 1770s, it served as Washington's Headquarters on several occasions. Today, the Dey Mansion is currently open year-round with guided public tours Wednesday through Sunday.

The Lincoln Park Public Schools are a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Lincoln Park, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 914 students and 82.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.For ninth through twelfth grades, Lincoln Park public school students attend Boonton High School in Boonton as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Boonton Public Schools, with Lincoln Park students accounting for a majority of students at the high school. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 643 students and 56.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. The two districts have sought to sever the more-than-50-year-old relationship, citing cost savings that could be achieved by both districts and complaints by Lincoln Park that it is granted only one seat on the Boonton Public Schools' Board of Education, less than the number of seats that would be allocated based on the percentage of students of population. In April 2006, the commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Education rejected the request. As of 2015-16 there were about 70 students from the borough attending the academy programs of the Morris County Vocational School District, which are the Morris County School of Technology in Denville; The Academy for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering in Rockaway at Morris Hills High School; and the Academy for Law and Public Safety in Butler at Butler High School.
