Baldwin is a former mining town from the late 19th century located about 8.5 miles southwest of Crested Butte, Colorado. While Baldwin is not commonly known as a ghost town, many of the original structures still exist. Much of the land that the few structures are on is now privately owned. The town of Baldwin came to be because of the coalfields that were discovered at the base of Mount Carbon, now called Carbon Peak. Baldwin became a ghost town due to the departure and subsequent abandonment of The Denver and South Park railroad that served Baldwin.

Le Marteleur (French: [lə maʁt.lœʁ]; variously translated as The Hammerman or The Drop Forger) is a bronze sculpture by Belgian sculptor Constantin Meunier. It depicts a hammerman holding a pair of pincers and wearing an apron, cap, and spats. Created in 1886, several casts of the statue exist, including one on the campus of Columbia University.

The Rathdrum Prairie is a flat in the U.S. state of Idaho. The prairie contains the cities of Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, State Line, and Huetter. The prairie also contains part of the Spokane Valley–Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer.

Surel's Place is an artist in residency program located in Garden City, Idaho, in a home studio designed by local artist Surel Lee Mitchell, who died of lung cancer on October 10, 2011, twenty years after she quit smoking (only non-smokers are accepted). Established in 2011, it is Idaho's only live-in artist-in-residency program. The studio serves as the anchor of the eponymous neighborhood The Surel Mitchell Live/Work/Create District. Surel's Place is steps away from the Boise Greenbelt, blocks away from the Visual Arts Collective, and minutes via bicycle to downtown Boise itself. Each residency (submissions are by open application) is typically for one month; twenty-four artists have resided there as of October 2015 (including tap dancer Andrew Nemr). “You forget to eat,” Kansas City-based painter David Titterington, who stayed at Surel’s in July of that year. “I got so much done. Way more than at other residencies." Since its inception, glass artist Zion Warne, mixed media painter Sam Paden, architect and furniture craftsman Derek Hurd, and illustrator Julia Green have also come to Garden City, and Surel's Place has become an integral part of the city's revival.

Lowell School in Boise, Idaho, is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick and stone elementary school constructed in 1913 and named for James Russell Lowell. The building was expanded in 1916, 1926, and 1948, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982.The NRHP nomination form credits Tacoma architects Heath & Twitchell with the design, but in 1913 The Idaho Statesman reported that plans and specifications had been prepared by students in the Drafting Department at Boise High School.

St. Mary's Catholic Church is a Catholic parish in Boise, Idaho, in the West Central Deanery of the Diocese of Boise. It was erected by Bishop Edward Kelly in 1937 as Boise's second Catholic parish; the city's Catholic population had grown too large to be served solely by the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Its North End location was criticized at the time for being too far from the city center. A Catholic school, St. Mary's School, was established in 1948.The historic Gothic church building, located at State and 26th Streets, was designed bt Frank Hummel of Tourtellotte & Hummel. It was significantly enlarged in 2009 with a design by ZGA Architects and Planners intended to respect the original structure, which won the Idaho Historic Preservation Council's Orchid Award for cultural heritage preservation. The renovated building combines Gothic and neo-classical styles with some modern elements.The church is richly decorated with religious artwork. Notable pieces include a statue of Mary seated in a pew, carved by John Taye; ten roof beams chainsaw-carved into statues of angels carrying various musical instruments by J. Chester Armstrong; large doors of Honduran mahogany also chainsaw-carved by Armstrong depicting Biblical scenes; and a Biblical altar triptych painted by Tom Browning. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Guernsey Dairy Milk Depot is a historic building in Boise, Idaho. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The Depot was built in 1937 by L. S. Mallory to designs by architects Tourtellotte & Hummel. It is a rare example of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in their portfolio. It was built to house both commercial and light industrial operations. It has been occupied as offices since at least the 1980s.

Collister School in the Collister neighborhood of Boise, Idaho, was designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed in 1912. The 2-story, 4-room, stucco over brick building features large window bays and a flat parapet roofline with minimal ornamentation. The building was expanded in 1948 with a 2-story addition to the left of the original structure. Another expansion in 1953 added a 1-story row of classrooms to the right. The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.A 1-room Collister School in the suburban town of Collister, Idaho, had existed prior to 1912. But by 1911, conditions at the school were overcrowded and unsanitary. The school was part of Ada County School District #46, and voters approved a bond measure for construction of a new school in 1912. In 1922 the school was annexed into the Boise Independent School District.

The John Green Mausoleum at Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise, Idaho, is an eclectic entombment designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1909. The mausoleum is made of stone and shows a Romanesque influence with geometric forms. Bronze doors opposite a single window are the only fenestrations, and corner pilasters frame the structure. A parapet stairway extends beyond an outset gable above the entrance. The mausoleum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Ann Morrison Park is a 153-acre (62 ha) urban park along the Boise River in Boise, Idaho. The park is managed by the Boise Parks and Recreation Department and includes picnic facilities, bocce courts, a disc golf course, horseshoe pits, an outdoor gym, a volleyball court, a playground, tennis courts, and fields for softball, soccer, cricket, and football.
