St Mary's Anglican Church is a heritage-listed Anglican church and associated facilities located at 240 Birrell Street, Waverley, in the Waverley Municipality, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The church was designed by Edmund Blacket and built between 1863 and 1864. It is very well known and sought after as a place to be married and is popular for funerals. The building is also notable due its pipe organ, designed and built by August Gern. The property is used for ministry by the Anglican Parish of Bondi and Waverley, which is an amalgamation of two previous Parishes (Bondi, Waverley); The first Rector of St Mary’s Waverley, Rev Stanley Mitchell, was a keen Evangelical and although he used traditional Anglican liturgy was “low church” like most of Sydney Diocese. However there has been a long history of more “High” Anglicanism and Anglo Catholic theological underpinnings. Since 2014, the church has returned to a strongly evangelical base while running a very strong traditional 1662 prayer book communion service every Sunday. It also has less traditional al services to accommodate more contemporary congregations. This Parish is part of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney. it has another site at Bondi Beach, on Wairoa Avenue, where a number of contemporary congregations are run. The St Mary’s site was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Caretakers Cottage is an Australian non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Sydney assisting children and young adults facing homelessness. Caretakers Cottage is funded by the New South Wales Department of Communities and Justice to provide services for young people across Sydney's South-Eastern district. Services include short-term, emergency accommodation, semi-independent living options, case support and early intervention for young people at risk of homelessness.The early formation of the organisation began in 1972 with the establishment of a teen drop-in centre. The refuge began informally accommodating young people from 1975, and Caretakers Cottage was formally established in 1977 as the Paddington Woollahra Youth Service (PWYS), making it one of the first youth refuges in New South Wales. The organisation has assisted thousands of young people from across Sydney, including many from Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, and an estimated one third of young people assisted are of Aboriginal heritage.

Waverley College is a dual-campus independent Catholic early learning, primary and secondary day school for boys, located on Birrell and Henrietta Street in Waverley, in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The school was founded by the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1903 and is operated in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice through its membership of Edmund Rice Education Australia. The Yeshiva College, also known as the Harry O. Triguboff Centre, is a Hasidic Jewish synagogue, learning centre, and library of the Chabad-Lubavitch nusach, located at 36 Flood Street, in the Sydney suburb of Bondi, New South Wales, Australia. The Centre runs various adult and child-based educational programs.

The Central Synagogue is a Modern Orthodox Jewish synagogue located in the Sydney suburb of Bondi Junction, New South Wales, Australia. The synagogue is the largest synagogue in the Southern hemisphere and has the largest Jewish congregation in Australasia. It is located in Bon Accord Avenue and extends back to Kenilworth Street. It was constructed at its present location in 1960 after originally being located in Paddington and then Bondi. It was burned down in 1994 by a devastating fire caused by an electrical fault. The synagogue was rebuilt and reopened in 1998. Hineni is the official youth movement of Central Synagogue.

Electricity Substation No. 269 is a heritage-listed electrical substation located at 36 Anglesea Street, Bondi, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Walter Frederick White, City Architect's Office and Municipal Council of Sydney and built in 1928 by the Municipal Council of Sydney. The property is owned by Ausgrid. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 May 2008.

Westfield Bondi Junction is a large, upmarket shopping centre in the suburb of Bondi Junction in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

On 13 April 2024, a 40-year-old man, Joel Cauchi, stabbed and killed six people and injured a further twelve in the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping centre in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Five women and one man died, while the injured included a nine-month-old girl. Cauchi was fatally shot by a police inspector.

Reddam House is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational, day school, located in Woollahra (preschool to Year 9) and North Bondi (Years 10 to 12), both Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Reddam House was acquired by Inspired Education Group in 2019. It subsequently switched to for-profit status and now receives no government funding.The school was launched in Sydney by Graeme Crawford in June 2000, who had founded Crawford College, South Africa in 1992. It was established following a major renovation at the previous Taylors College in North Bondi. The school attracted media attention with reports 36 percent of students, six times the state average, received "special consideration" in the 2006 HSC. Reddam House has also received media attention for being the only non-selective school to achieve a top 10 ranking in the Higher School Certificate of 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. In the 2022 HSC, Reddam ranked at 5th overall, its highest ever ranking.

Mary Immaculate Church is a heritage-listed Roman Catholic church and friary at 45 Victoria Street, Waverley, in the Waverley Municipality of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Sheerin & Hennessy and built from 1890 to 1929 by John Ptolomy and by W. J. Bolton (1929). It is also known as Mary Immaculate Group, St Charles Borromeo Church and Parish House and Minamurra Cottage (former). The property is owned by the Association of Franciscan Friars Bros. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
