Whitwell Common SSSI

Whitwell and Reepham railway station, also known as Whitwell station, is a former station situated in Norfolk, England. The station closed in 1959 and is a notable stop on the Marriott's Way long-distance footpath. It is being restored as a railway museum, including the re-laying of track.

The A1067 is an English A road entirely in the county of Norfolk. It runs from Fakenham Northern By-Pass (A148) to Norwich inner ring road (A147).

Pettywell is a hamlet within the a civil parish of Reepham in the English county of Norfolk. The hamlet is 8.3 miles (13.4 km) west south west of Aylsham and 14.7 miles (23.7 km) north west of Norwich and 128 miles (206 km) north east of London. The hamlet is on the north side of the B1145 which links King's Lynn and Mundesley. The nearest railway station is at North Walsham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich.The nearest airport is at Norwich International Airport. For the purposes of local government, the parish of Reepham falls within the district of Broadland.

Great Witchingham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk about 11 miles (18 km) north-west of Norwich. It covers an area of 9.12 km2 (3.52 sq mi) and had a population of 564 in 235 households at the 2001 census, including Lenwade but reducing to a population of 496 in 219 households at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Broadland. Great Witchingham parish contains the hamlet of Lenwade. The parish church of St Mary is a Grade I listed building dating from the 14th century.The Norfolk Wildlife Centre and Country Park, a local attraction also known as the Animal Ark, is in Fakenham Road.Old Witchingham Hall, built in the 16th century, was demolished in the 1980s. It was once the home of John Norris (1734–77), High Sheriff of Norfolk for 1766. The village is also home to Great Witchingham Cricket Club, who play in the East Anglian Premier League.

Sparham is a village and civil parish in Norfolk, England. It covers an area of 7.22 km2 (2.79 sq mi) and had a population of 291 in 109 households at the 2001 census, including Bylaugh and increasing to a population of 341 in 143 households at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the Upper Wensum Ward of Breckland District Council and the Elmham and Mattishall Division of Norfolk County Council. The villages name means 'spar homestead/village' or 'spar hemmed-in land'. Sparham is one of the highest points in Norfolk, and the top of the church tower has views of the surrounding countryside for several miles. The hamlet of Sparhamhill lies to its east and south on the main A1067 road.

Reepham High School and College is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Reepham, Norfolk. The majority of the students live in outlying villages. Prior to September 2009, when Reepham College opened, it was known as Reepham High School. Tim Gibbs is the current principal, taking over from Mark Farrar in 2017. The school created and leads the Synergy Multi-Academy Trust.

Sparham Pools is a 12.2-hectare (30-acre) nature reserve south of Sparham in Norfolk. It is leased and managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.These former gravel pits are now pools which have several islands. Wildfowl include shoveler, gadwall, mallard and tufted duck. Sand martins and common kingfishers breed on the banks and common terns on the islands.There is access from Lyng Road.

Lenwade is a village in the civil parish of Great Witchingham, Norfolk, situated in the Wensum Valley adjacent to the A1067 road 14 miles (23 km) south-east of Fakenham and some 11 miles (18 km) north-west of Norwich. The River Ainse (or Eyn) joins the Wensum at Lenwade. In 2001 it had a population of 464.

Reepham () is a market town and civil parish in the Broadland district of Norfolk, England. Reepham is situated on the B1145 road between the Bure and Wensum valleys. The town is 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Norwich. At the time of the 2001 census the civil parish (including Pettywell) had a population of 2,455 residents in 970 households, occupying an area of 1,909 hectares (4,720 acres). increasing to a population of 2,709 in 1,169 households at the 2011 census.

Lenwade railway station was a railway station in North Norfolk, England. It was built by the Lynn and Fakenham Railway Company in 1882 and taken over by the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway (M&GNJR) in 1893, to serve the small hamlet of Lenwade. Despite the settlement's size, the railway provided a direct service to Norwich and King's Lynn. It closed to passengers in 1959, but remained open to goods trains until 1983.The station is now on the route of Marriott's Way. The station is now a private residence and has been fully restored.

The River Ainse (or Eyn) is a small river in the county of Norfolk. It is a tributary of the River Wensum which it merges with at Lenwade. The River Ainse has several tributaries also.

Lyng is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is situated on the River Wensum, some 10 km (6.2 mi) north-east of the town of East Dereham and 20 km (12 mi) north-west of the city of Norwich.The civil parish has an area of 7.99 km2 (3.08 sq mi) and in the 2021 census had a population of 860 people in 360 separate households (in the 2011 census had a population of 807 in 356 households). For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the Elmham and Mattishall division of Norfolk County Council and the Upper Wensum ward of Breckland District Council.
