Fairbank Memorial Park

Lycée Français Toronto (LFT) is a French international school in the Fairbank neighbourhood of Toronto. It serves levels PreK-12 and as of 2015 has 450 students. It was established in 1995. It is a part of the Agency For French Teaching Abroad (AEFE).The school previously occupied space in a four-storey building at 77 Charles Street West (formerly Kintore College c. 1950s)., a 300-foot (91 m) by 200-foot (61 m) space. The site that was owned by Promotion of Educational Values (PEV), a charity. PEV purchased the land for $2.3 million in 1997. In 2007 PEV announced that it was selling the land to a developer, Aspen Ridge Homes. The school site was to be replaced by condominiums. On June 16, 2008, it moved to its current location at 2327 Dufferin Street (formerly D.B. Hood Public School and leased from Toronto District School Board).

Fairbank is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The area covers a large central portion of the former City of York, Ontario centred on the intersection of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West. Fairbank includes the neighbourhoods of Briar Hill–Belgravia (North of Eglinton Avenue West) and Caledonia–Fairbank (South of Eglinton Avenue West). The western border is the CNR lines. The northern and southern borders are the former borders of the City of York and the eastern border is Dufferin Street (Oakwood Village).

Fairbank is an underground light rail transit (LRT) station under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Fairbank neighbourhood at the intersection of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West. Destinations include the Fairbank neighbourhood and Fairbank Memorial Park. As of 2017, construction work related to the station was in progress, having been scheduled to begin in 2014. The station is scheduled to open in 2022.During the planning stages for Line 5 Eglinton, the station was given the working name "Dufferin", which is identical to the pre-existing Dufferin station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth. On November 23, 2015, a report to the TTC Board recommended giving a unique name to each station in the subway system (including Line 5 Eglinton). Thus, the LRT station was renamed "Fairbank" after the Fairbank neighbourhood rather than the intersecting Dufferin Street.The main entrance will replace the Esso gas station on the east side of St. Hilda's Park, at the southeast corner of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue. A secondary entrance will be on the northwest corner, where a right-turn slip road will be removed to provide the necessary space. A third structure, for mechanical and venting purposes, will replace a storefront near the southwest corner. Fairbank station will include a decorative exterior plaza having grass, a misting feature, 14 shade trees, 15 benches and 10 bicycle parking spaces. It will be suitable for community events.

Oakwood Village, formerly known as Oakwood–Vaughan, is a neighbourhood in the York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The neighbourhood is a Business Improvement Area (BIA); it has an annual arts festival and a public library built in 1997. The neighbourhood, commonly known as OV, is bordered by Eglinton Avenue West to the north (Briar Hill–Belgravia), Dufferin Street to the west (Caledonia–Fairbank), St. Clair Avenue West to the south (Corso Italia and Bracondale Hill), and Winona Drive to the east (Humewood–Cedarvale). Oakwood–Vaughan was part of the former City of York before the amalgamation of Toronto in 1998. The neighbourhood's northern half is nicknamed Five Points for the intersection of Oakwood Avenue, Vaughan Road, and Belvidere Avenue. The western half was called Northcliffe and is more recently known as Northcliffe Village.

It is scheduled to open in 2022.Both entrances replace existing storefronts; the main entry will be located directly at the northern end of Oakwood Avenue, serving as that street's terminating vista, while the secondary will be on the south side of Eglinton some 80 metres (260 ft) west between Oakwood Avenue and Times Road. The station will provide outdoor space to park 24 bicycles.Local Member of Provincial Parliament Mike Colle organized a petition in 2012 that led to a station at Oakwood being added to the Crosstown plan. The main destination will be the Eglinton West commercial strip.

Little Jamaica, also known as Eglinton West, is an ethnic enclave in the York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is situated along Eglinton Avenue West, from Allen Road to Keele Street, and is part of four neighbourhoods: Silverthorn, Briar Hill–Belgravia, Caledonia–Fairbank, and Oakwood–Vaughan. The commercial main street has been recognized to be of great cultural heritage significance to the City of Toronto, as a distinct ethnic and cultural hub for African-Caribbean immigrants for many decades.

Vaughan Road Academy (VRA), formerly known as Vaughan Road High School and Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute, is a Toronto District School Board (TDSB) facility that formerly operated as an International Baccalaureate high school. It was located in the Oakwood Village neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the York district. The former school is situated at the Vaughan Road and Winona Drive intersection, close to Oakwood Avenue. It worked in partnership with the J.R. Wilcox and Cedarvale Community Schools, and from 1998 until the school's closure, it offered the IB Diploma Programme for students in grades 11 and 12. In addition to the International Baccalaureate, it has also had cooperative education and INTERACT programs. The school ceased to exist as an operating school on June 30, 2017, due to low enrollment and the building remains under TDSB possession to be used as a holding school (i.e. a school used to hold another school's staff and students on a temporary basis).

Hudson College is a co-educational, non-denominational private school for students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. It is situated on a 4.5-acre campus in the former Earlscourt Junior Public School in central Toronto, Ontario.

Earlscourt is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is centred on St. Clair Avenue West, with Dufferin Street, Davenport Road, and Old Weston Road forming its boundaries. It is contained within the larger city-recognized neighbourhood of Corso Italia-Davenport. Earlscourt Park is located on the south side of St. Clair between Caledonia Park Road and Lansdowne Avenue.

Eglinton West is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the median of Allen Road on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West. Line 5 Eglinton will also serve Eglinton West station upon its completion, scheduled for 2022. At that time, Eglinton West will become an interchange station and be renamed Cedarvale. Metrolinx is building the line along Eglinton Avenue from Mount Dennis to Kennedy.

Corso Italia-Davenport is a neighbourhood in central Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its boundaries, according to the City of Toronto, are the CNR tracks to the west, Morrison Avenue to the north, Westmount Avenue to the east on the northern portion and Oakwood Avenue to the east on the southern portion, and on the south by Davenport Road. Within this official neighbourhood of the City of Toronto are several neighbourhoods, Corso Italia, Davenport, Earlscourt, and Regal Heights.

Corso Italia is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, situated on St. Clair Avenue West, between Westmount Avenue (just east of Dufferin Street) and Lansdowne Avenue. It is contained within the larger city-recognized neighbourhood of Corso Italia-Davenport. The neighbourhood includes numerous cafés, clothing shops, shoe stores, restaurants, food markets, as well as several gelaterias and bakeries. The community is considered Toronto's second Italian ethnic enclave after Little Italy on College Street. There is also a significant Latin American and Portuguese community in the area.
