Tengah Depot

Bulim Bus Depot is the first bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority in Singapore. It houses the buses of 30 bus services under the Bulim Bus Package. It is located along Bulim Avenue in Jurong West. Since 31 July 2015, the Bulim Bus Depot is being operated by Tower Transit Singapore. The depot was officially opened by Hong Kah MP Amy Khor on 6 December 2015.The depot accommodates about 500 buses and will be equipped with facilities for daily bus operations, bus maintenance and a rest area for bus drivers.

The Al-Firdaus Mosque (Malay: Masjid Al-Firdaus) is a mosque in Choa Chu Kang, Singapore. This old generation mosque located in the West, at Jalan Ibadat, off Old Choa Chu Kang Road, was built in 1962. In 1999, the mosque, which serves the needs of the nearby residents, was rebuilt. Today, it can accommodate up to 200 people. There are religious classes for adults in the evening.

Fico Sports Hub was a private 6-hectare recreation centre located at 2 Jurong West St 25, Singapore, then the largest Futsal (5-a-side indoor football) arena in Asia and the first in Asia with water football facilities, which closed its doors to customers on 4 April 2011.[1] A notable architectural feature of Fico Sports Hub is its white tensile membrane roof, which is designed to keep out the heat and rain over its eight futsal pitches, while embracing an "open" concept, as instead of sidewalls, with nets used to surround the pitches to allow the flow of natural breeze. The recreation centre was used for water football (football in ankle-deep water), beach volleyball and beach football activities. The beach volleyball and beach football courts use sand that was specially imported for the Swatch FIVB World Tour '2007 tournament in Sentosa and the soccer court was an inflatable water soccer court bought from overseas.

Jurong Junior College (JJC) was a junior college located in Jurong West, Singapore. It was the ninth junior college to be established by the Ministry of Education of Singapore.

The Home Team Academy (HTA) is the training institute for various organisations of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singapore, including the Singapore Police Force, the Singapore Civil Defence Force, the Central Narcotics Bureau, the Singapore Prison Service, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, and the Internal Security Department, amongst other agencies. Located at 501 Old Choa Chu Kang Road, it cost about S$266 million to build. It was operational since January 2006, had an operational launch in April 2006, and was officially opened on 2 September 2006 with an open house and concert.

The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) is one of the national uniformed group for youths between age 13 to 17 in Singapore. The organisation is supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Established in 1959, it trains young boys and girls in the values of law enforcement and public safety.

Westwood Secondary School (WWSS) (simplified Chinese: 维林中学; traditional Chinese: 維林中學; pinyin: Wéi lín zhōngxué) is a co-educational government secondary school in Jurong West, Singapore. It was founded on 2 January 2000, the integrated government school offers secondary education under three academic streams, which lead up to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level or the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level examination.

The monkey tree phenomenon was a social phenomenon in Singapore, which began in September 2007. It arose from the discovery of a callus on a tree in Hong Kah, which appears monkey-like. Some believe the image to be of divine origin, while others have attributed the phenomenon to the effects of pareidolia, whereby random stimuli are perceived as meaningful. The callus has initiated a minor social mania, drawing large crowds to look or pray at the tree.

The Jurong Police Division (or 'J' Division) is one of the seven land divisions of the Singapore Police Force. Jurong Division first came into existence as the ‘Rural West’ Division on 24 Sep 1965 and operated from a standalone building located at Bukit Panjang. As the communities in the west grew, police posts were built in Ama Keng, Mandai and Kranji. Following Singapore's independence, the western part of Singapore underwent rapid rural, industrial and urban development. From then on, the Rural West Division expanded to meet the challenges of policing a larger population. In 1976, it shifted to the Taman Jurong Police Station at Yung Ho Road. In 1980, the Division shifted to Corporation Road and became known as the Jurong Police Division. On 5 May 2002, Jurong Police Division moved to its current premises at No. 2 Jurong West Ave 5 which became the Division's headquarters. Jurong Division serves a residential population of over 730,000 residents which covers a stretch of land from Boon Lay and Tuas in the west to areas like Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang in the northwest. Besides residential estates, it also covers major industrial areas and has a long coastal area lined with over 100 sea-fronting companies.
