Hamilton County is a county in the U.S. state of Indiana. The 2020 United States Census recorded a population of 347,467. The county seat is Noblesville. Hamilton County is part of the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Since the beginning of the 21st century, Hamilton County has been the second most populous county in Central Indiana. Hamilton County's roots are in agriculture. However, after World War II, development in Indianapolis grew northward, and towns in the southern part of Hamilton County developed as suburbs. Residential and commercial development have replaced many farm fields, although the county's northern part remains largely agricultural. In the first decades of the 21st century, the county is one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. According to 2007 estimates by the US Census, the county's population increased from 182,740 in 2000 to an estimated 261,661 in 2007, making it the fastest-growing county of Indiana's 92. As of the 2010 census, Hamilton County has surpassed St. Joseph County in population, making it the state's fourth most populous. It is also the fourth densest in the state, after Marion, Lake and Vanderburgh Counties. In 2020, Hamilton County was home to three of the state's 20 largest cities and towns: Carmel (5th), Fishers (6th), and Noblesville (12th). Geist and Morse reservoirs are two man-made lakes in Hamilton County that offer boating, fishing, and waterfront living. In June 2008, Hamilton County was named America's Best Place to Raise a Family by Forbes.com due to its strong economy, affordable living, top-ranked schools, and close proximity to Indianapolis. The city of Carmel in southwestern Hamilton County was designated CNN Money's top place to live in 2013 and in 2017, the city of Fishers was named best place to live.

The Indiana Transportation Museum (initialized ITM, reporting mark ITMZ) is a railroad museum that was formerly located in the Forest Park neighborhood of Noblesville, Indiana, United States. It owns a variety of preserved railroad equipment, some of which still operate today. ITM is currently Located in Logansport, Indiana.

Potter's Covered Bridge, also known as Potter's Bridge and Potter's Ford Bridge, is a historic covered bridge located in Potter's Bridge Park in Noblesville in Noblesville Township, Hamilton County, Indiana. It was built in 1871, and is a Howe truss structure measuring 260 feet long, 22 feet wide, and 20 feet tall. The single span bridge rests on limestone abutments and has walls clad in vertical board siding.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Potter's Bridge Park has been home to the Potter's Bridge Fall Festival, occurring every October, for over 20 years.

Riverview Health (formally known as Riverview Hospital) is a hospital located in Noblesville, Indiana, in the United States. It is part of the Riverview Medical Group hospital network. Founded in 1909, it was the first hospital in Hamilton County and today, it is one of the largest employers in the county. It has 161 beds and employees over 350 medical professionals.

The Cole-Evans House is a historic house in Noblesville, Indiana. It was built circa 1840 for Bicknel Cole, a businessman who served in the Indiana Senate from 1836 to 1840. It was subsequently purchased by Jonathan Evans, a businessman who expanded the house in 1856. In the twentieth century, the house once again expanded in 1930, 1980, and 1993. It was designed in the Federal and Italianate architectural styles. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 22, 2000.

Dr. Samuel Harrell House, also known as the Harrell House, is a historic home located at Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana. It was built in 1898, and is a large 2+1⁄2-story, Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It features irregular massing; a three-story, polygonal corner tower; multi gable-on-hip roof; and wraparound porch. Also on the property is a contributing two-story, frame carriage house.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located in the Catherine Street Historic District.

It developed between about 1870 and 1937, and includes notable examples of Queen Anne, Italianate, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Dr. Samuel Harrell House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Robert L. Wilson House is a historic home located at Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana. The oldest section is dated to the late-1860s, and is a two-story, Italianate style brick dwelling. It consists of four sections and was likely constructed in three parts, taking its present form by 1898. The jail was built in 1875–1876, and is a Second Empire style brick and limestone building. It consists of the two-story, ell-shaped jailer's residence, with a cellblock attached at the rear. It features a three-story square tower that once had a mansard roof. The courthouse was built between 1877 and 1879, and is a three-story, Second Empire style, rectangular brick building. It has a clock tower atop the mansard roof and limestone Corinthian order pilasters.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The buildings are also included as contributing buildings in the Noblesville Commercial Historic District, which was NRHP-listed in 1991. This Noblesville, Indiana courtroom is where Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon D. C. Stephenson was tried and convicted of murder on Nov 14, 1925.

It encompasses 54 contributing buildings in the central business district of Noblesville. It developed between about 1875 and 1931, and includes notable examples of Gothic Revival, Italianate, and Renaissance Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Hamilton County Courthouse Square, which includes the courthouse (1877-1879) and Sheriff's Residence and Jail (1875). Other notable buildings include the Indiana Union Traction Company Station (1906), Lacy Block (1888), Evers Block (1889), U.S. Post Office (1906), U.S. Post Office (1931), and First Christian Church (1897-1898).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
