Tayport railway station

Tayport Castle, was a Z plan castle that was located near Tayport, Fife, Scotland. The castle was demolished in the 19th century and no remains above ground are visible.

Tayport, also known as Ferry-Port-on-Craig, is a town in Fife, Scotland. It lies on the Firth of Tay opposite Broughty Ferry, a suburb of Dundee. The two were linked by a ferry service until 1939. To the east of Tayport is the vast Tentsmuir Nature Reserve, an area of forested dunes edged by wide sands that continue all the way round to the mouth of the River Eden. The civil parish of Ferry-Port-on-Craig had a population of 3,815 in 2011.

Tayport Football Club are a Scottish football club from Tayport, Fife. Formed in 1947, they play their home games at The Canniepairt. Nicknamed the Port, the club's colours are red, white and black. They presently play in the Midlands Football League, ran by Scottish Junior Football Association and in the 6th tier of the Scottish football league system. Although the club is based in Fife, their close geographical location to Dundee and Angus meant that, when they became a junior club, they chose to join the Tayside League rather than the Fife League. They had phenomenal success in the 1990s and early-2000s, winning the league they were competing in every season since 1990–91, bar four times when they managed to finish as runners-up.

Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Station is located at the bottom of Fort Street, in the town of Broughty Ferry, a suburb of Dundee on the north shore of the River Tay estuary, in the historic county of Angus, Scotland. A lifeboat was first placed here by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station in 1862. The station currently operates the All-weather Trent-class lifeboat, 14-31 Elizabeth of Glamis (ON 1252), on station since 2001, and the D-class (IB1) Inshore lifeboat Oor Lifesaver (D-834), on station since 2019.

Broughty Ferry Pier railway station served the suburb of Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland from 1848 to 1887 on the Dundee and Arbroath Railway.

Broughty Castle is a historic castle on the banks of the River Tay in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland. It was completed around 1495, although the site was earlier fortified in 1454, when George Douglas, 4th Earl of Angus, received permission to build on the site. His son, Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Angus, was coerced into ceding the castle to the crown. The main tower house forming the centre of the castle with four floors was built by Andrew, 2nd Lord Gray, who was granted the castle in 1490.

Broughty Ferry railway station is a railway station serving the suburb of Broughty Ferry in Dundee, Scotland. It is sited 3 miles 38 chains (5.6 km) from the former Dundee East station, on the Dundee to Aberdeen line, between Dundee and Balmossie.It is the oldest railway station in Scotland which is still in operation.

St Luke's & Queen Street Church is a congregation of the Church of Scotland in Broughty Ferry, on the edge of Dundee, Scotland. The church building was completed in 1884 to designs by Edinburgh architect Hippolyte Blanc, and is now protected as a category A listed building.

Broughty Ferry (; Scottish Gaelic: Bruach Tatha; Scots: Brochtie) is a suburb of Dundee, Scotland. It is situated four miles east of the city centre on the north bank of the Firth of Tay. The area was a separate burgh from 1864 until 1913, when it was incorporated into Dundee. Historically it is within the County of Angus. Formerly a prosperous fishing and whaling village, in the 19th century Broughty Ferry became a haven for wealthy jute barons, who built their luxury villas in the suburb. As a result, Broughty Ferry was referred to at the time as the "richest square mile in Europe". It is administered as part of the Dundee City council area. At a national level, it is represented by both the UK Parliamentary constituency of Dundee East and the Scottish Parliamentary constituency of Dundee City East. Several road and rail routes are located within the area; Broughty Ferry railway station is situated in the centre of the suburb, and the A930 road skirts its main retail area. Broughty Ferry is also linked by several bus routes to its neighbouring suburbs and to central Dundee.

Morton Lochs is part of Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve located near Tayport, in the north east of Fife, Scotland. It consists of three small lochs important for a variety of waterfowl species. As well as being a national nature reserve (NNR) the lochs are also designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in their own right, and are classified as a Category IV protected area by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.Access to the nature reserve can be gained from the public footpath through Scotscraig golf course in Tayport, from the many footpaths in Tentsmuir Forest, or by road by turning off towards Morton on the B945 between Tayport and Leuchars. There is a small car park beside the reserve which is close to the two main footpaths. Surrounding the lochs are three bird hides that are accessible for public use, and another hide that requires a key available from NatureScot. Three of the hides sit on the largest of the three lochs with the other being on the South Loch.

Forthill is a cricket ground in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland. It has been used for cricket since, at the latest, 1884, when Forfarshire played Aberdeenshire there. Scotland first used the ground in 1913 when they played Northamptonshire.The ground staged six first-class matches between 1924 and 1999. The first was in 1924 when Scotland played Ireland. The touring Indians played Scotland in a first-class match there in 1932. Almost twenty years elapsed before first-class cricket returned to Forthill, with Scotland playing Worcestershire in 1951. The ground later played host to the touring New Zealanders in 1978 and Ireland in 1992, before hosting its final first-class match when Scotland played the South Africa Academy. During the twentieth century the ground also hosted several other touring teams in non-first-class matches.Forthill is still the home ground of Forfarshire Cricket Club.
