Astone Lane was originally a right of way running between Brisbane Street and Baker Avenue in Perth, Western Australia. A proposal to name the right of way as Astone Lane was considered at the Town of Vincent council meeting in September 2006. The naming of the lane was in honour of Antonino Astone, a migrant from Raccuia, Sicily, who established a bootmaker business nearby on the corner of Brisbane and William Streets. Astone was a well-known identity in the community, and a pioneer in assisting migrants who arrived in Fremantle after World War II, many of them settling into the area.

Noongar Radio 100.9 FM is an Aboriginal community radio station in Perth, Western Australia. The station is the only Indigenous radio station in the Perth metropolitan region and promotes itself as a voice to the local Indigenous community, the Noongar people, First Nations people living in Perth and non-Indigenous community members.In January 2008 the Australian Communications and Media Authority allocated a broadcasting licence for 100.9 MHz to Peedac Pty Ltd. The callsign 6NME refers to the initials of Noongar Media Enterprises, then a Peedac subsidiary.The station's intended market is the local Indigenous community and those interested in Indigenous culture and affairs.

The Ellington Jazz Club, known locally as The Ellington, is a music venue located in Perth, Western Australia.It has been described as one of the country's 'best loved and most highly regarded jazz clubs'.The venue plays host to local jazz musicians, including students of WAAPA. It has also been a venue for the Perth International Jazz Festival, and Perth's Fringe World festival.

Nine Japanese Bistro (formerly Nine Fine Food) is a Japanese-fusion restaurant in the suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Situated in Perth's inner city on the corner of Lake and Bulwer streets, the restaurant was opened in 2003 by its chef, Muneki Song.

The Nostalgia Box is a video game museum located in Perth, Western Australia. It is the first interactive video game console museum in Australia and was founded by video game lover Jessie Yeoh.The Nostalgia Box requests that visitors book their tickets in advance online so that they may reduce overcrowding, giving everyone a chance to play at the console of their choice. The Nostalgia Box also allows customers to book out the entire venue for private functions. In partnership with Perth Film and Television Institute, Playup Perth, the museum hosts events to test games from local Perth developers. The museum also hosts regular themed events.

Aberdeen Street is a street in the Perth suburbs of Perth and Northbridge that runs from a cul-de-sac west of Lord Street in the east to a cul-de-sac between Fitzgerald Street and the Mitchell Freeway in the west. The street has 42 locally listed places of significance, 18 of which are also listed on the State Register of Heritage Places.

Hyde Park (formerly Third Swamp Reserve) is an inner-city park in Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. It is located in the north-east corner of the suburb of Perth – 2 km (1.2 mi) north of the central business district – surrounded by Vincent, William, Glendower and Throssell Streets.Facilities include: public toilets, playground equipment, barbecues, drinking fountains, pavilion, stage area, fitness equipment and a sealed walking path of around 800 m (870 yd) in length ringing the lake. Electricity is available, which is used, for example, to power temporary fairground rides.

Swan Barracks was a military establishment in Francis Street, Perth, Western Australia. The heritage listed building is located between Museum and Beaufort Streets.

Highgate is an inner metro suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Vincent and north of the central business district of Perth. Highgate was named for the village of Highgate, Hawkhurst in Kent, England. Highgate is the smallest suburb in the Perth metropolitan region, with an area of just 0.4 km2 (0.2 sq mi). Among the landmarks of the area is the Lincoln Street Vent, a disused Art Deco sewerage vent, designed by Russell Dumas and completed in 1935, alongside the disused Highgate Hill Police Station (which is also the site of a proposed police museum). The vent, which proved to be a "white elephant", was secretly used as an antenna base by the Police Wireless Service during World War II. St Mark's International College, an English as a second language (ESL) school operated between 1989 and 2010, at 375 Stirling Street, on the corner of Harold Street. The St Mark's buildings were constructed from 1936, as a Catholic Christian Brothers boys' high school. This was known as CBHS Highgate until 1978, when it merged with St Mark's in Bedford (previously CBHS Bedford) and received that school's students. The name of the school was changed to St Mark's College Highgate in 1982. St Mark's was closed and sold several years later, when all students were transferred to Chisholm College, in Bedford. St Mark's re-development into an apartment complex was completed in 2013.The suburb has two primary schools: Sacred Heart (a Catholic school) and Highgate Primary School (the second oldest government primary school in the state). Highgate Primary School has students from over 50 different nationalities and backgrounds. The school also has a highly successful chess team and rock band. Highgate Primary participates actively in local sporting events and teaches the Indonesian language as a special LOTE.

The 5th Military District was an administrative district of the Australian Army. Formed shortly after the Federation of Australia, the 5th Military District covered all of Western Australia except the Kimberley region, with its headquarters at Swan Barracks in Perth. Following the First World War, the area's designation was changed to the 5th District Base. In October 1939, it was re-designated as Western Command when the Army moved towards a geographic command structure. In April 1942, the Army was reorganised and Western Command became III Corps in April 1942. Western Command was re-formed in June 1944 when the need for a corps-level headquarters passed.Then-Captain William Henderson, later promoted to Major General, served on the command's staff soon after the Second World War ended. The 13th Infantry Brigade was re-raised in 1948, once again headquartered in Western Australia, and assigned to Western Command. Upon formation, it consisted of two infantry battalions: the 11th/44th and the 16th/28th. In 1960, when the CMF was reorganised following the adoption of the Pentropic divisional establishment, the brigade was disbanded. The geographical command structure was retained until the 1970s.

Perth Rectangular Stadium, currently branded HBF Park (under a sponsorship agreement with HBF Health Fund) and previously called Perth Oval, is a sports stadium in Perth, the capital of the Australian state of Western Australia. Located close to Perth's central business district, the stadium currently has a maximum capacity of 20,500 people for sporting events and 25,000 people for concerts, with the ground's record attendance of 32,000 people set during an Ed Sheeran concert in 2015. The land on which the stadium was built, known as Loton Park, was made a public reserve in 1904, with the main ground developed several years later. From 1910 until 2002, it was known as Perth Oval and was the home ground of the East Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). It hosted several of the competition's grand finals during that time. In 2004, the ground was redeveloped, altering it from an oval field to a rectangular field. The ground is currently home to two major professional sporting clubs: Perth Glory FC, a soccer team competing in the A-League, and the Western Force, a rugby union team playing in the Super Rugby Pacific competition. The ground is also used by the West Coast Pirates, a semi-professional rugby league team competing in the S. G. Ball Cup, as well as for concerts.
