Midtstubakken is a ski jumping hill which is part of the Holmenkollen National Arena in Oslo, Norway. It has a hill size of 106 metres, and a K-spot of 95 metres. The current hill dates from 2010, although the first hill at the area was built in 1927. The venue has a capacity for 15,000 spectators and was designed by Grindaker Landskapsarkitekter and Økaw Arkitekter. It is served by Midtstuen Station of the Oslo Metro.

Gressbanen or Vestre Holmen is a stadium located at Holmen in Oslo, Norway. During summer it has artificial turf and is used for association football, while during winter it has artificial ice and fields bandy. The complex also contains a smaller training field with gravel during summer and natural ice during winter. Gressbanen is the home venue of IF Ready, whose bandy team plays in the Norwegian Bandy Premier League and who fields 35 recreational football teams. The stadium was built as a response to the need for a grass pitch for the Norway national football team, as well as to serve as a home to Ready and Mercantile SFK. It opened on 1 September 1918 as the second grass pitch in Norway and the first in Oslo. As such it replaced Frogner Stadion as the home of the national team, for which it was home to seventeen matches. The national team moved to Ullevaal Stadion in 1927. Gressbanen also featured two Norwegian Football Cup Final, in 1920 and 1921. The pitch has been iced and used for bandy since 1935. Mercantile remained a tenant until 1947, when it merged with SFK Trygg. Gressbanen received artificial turf in 2001 and artificial ice in 2004.

Holmenkollbakken is a large ski jumping hill located at Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway. It has a hill size of HS134, a construction point of K-120, and a capacity for 70,000 spectators. Holmenkollen has hosted the Holmenkollen Ski Festival since 1892, which since 1980 have been part of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup and 1983 the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup. It has also hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1930, 1966, 1982 and 2011. The hill has been rebuilt 19 times; important upgrades include a stone take-off in 1910, an in-run superstructure in 1914, and a new superstructure in 1928. During the Second World War, the venue was used as a military installation, but upgraded in the late 1940s. Further expansions were made ahead of the 1966 and 1982 World Championships, as well as in 1991. Between 2008 and 2010, the entire structure was demolished and rebuilt. The hill record is held by Robert Johansson at 144.0 meters. The hill is part of Holmenkollen National Arena, which in addition to cross-country and biathlon venues has the normal hill Midtstubakken.

The Tour de Ski (TdS) is a cross-country skiing event held annually since the 2006–07 season in Central Europe, modeled on the Tour de France of cycling. The Tour de Ski is a Stage World Cup event in the FIS Cross-Country World Cup. Each Tour de Ski has consisted of six to nine stages, held during late December and early January in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. As of 2023, the prize money for the event amount to 770,000 Swiss francs (779,000 euros), shared out on both men and women. Men's and women's events are held together on the same days, with the only difference being the distance skied. The stage hosts changes every year, but some of the format stays the same with the diversity of competitions; sprints, mass starts, races with individual starts and pursuits. The Tour de Ski has every year concluded with two or three stages in Val di Fiemme, with the final stage where the skiers race up the alpine skiing course on Alpe Cermis in Cavalese. There are usually between 20 and 30 nations participating, with the numbers of skiers from each nation based on quotas with a maximum of 10 skiers. All of the stages are timed to the finish; the skiers' times are compounded with their previous stage times. The skier with the lowest cumulative finishing times is the overall leader of the race and wears the yellow leader bib. While the overall standings garners the most attention, there are two other contests held within the Tour: the point standings (previously called "sprint standings") for the sprinters and the team standings for the fastest teams.

Holmenkollen Chapel (Holmenkollen kapell) is located in the neighborhood of Holmenkollen in the Vestre Aker borough of Oslo, Norway. The original chapel from 1903 was destroyed by arson in 1992. The new chapel was completed in 1996. Holmenkollen Chapel is a listed site, registered in Norway's cultural heritage database.

Holmenkollen Ski Museum (Norwegian: Skimuseet i Holmenkollen) is located at the base of the Holmenkollen ski jump in Oslo, Norway.The Ski Museum was founded in 1923 and is the world's oldest ski museum. The initiator of the museum was the architect Hjalmar Welhaven. His private collection formed the foundation of the antique and historic skis on display at the museum. Until 1951, the collection was housed in a building in the Oslo neighborhood of Frognerseteren. In connection with the rebuilding of Holmenkollbakken in 1951, the museum collection was moved to new premises at Holmenkollbakken.The museum contains 4,000 years of skiing history, starting with rock carvings dating from the Stone Age. It also displays skiers and skis from the Viking Age. Additionally it displays equipment used in the polar expeditions of both Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen. The Ski Museum is owned and operated by Skiforeningen. This association is responsible for the organization of sports, activities and events in Holmenkollen National Park.

Holmenkollen National Arena (Norwegian: Holmenkollen nasjonalanlegg) is a Nordic skiing, ski jumping and biathlon venue located at Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway. It consists of the large ski jumping hill Holmenkollbakken, the normal hill Midtstubakken and a stadium for cross-country skiing and a shooting range for biathlon. Since 1892, it has hosted the annual Holmenkollen Ski Festival, which is part of the world cup tournaments in ski jumping, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, as well as annual Biathlon World Cup races. It has previously hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics, and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1930, 1966, 1982 and 2011.

Holmenkollen is a station on the Holmenkollen Line (Line 1) on the Oslo Metro, located in the Holmenkollen area, between Besserud and Voksenlia. Until 1916 when Holmenkollbanen was completed, the terminus station was Besserud and was called Holmenkollen. The station is at an elevation of 277.7 meters (911 ft) above mean sea level. The station architect was Erik Glosimodt.The station is close to the Holmenkollbakken facility and skiing museum. The area also has several residential buildings.

Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel is a seminar and conference hotel in Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway, close to Holmenkollen National Arena and Holmenkollbakken, and the Holmenkollen station of the Oslo Metro. Opened in 1894, it was designed by Balthazar Lange and is regarded as one of the prime examples of dragestil style of design and architecture in Norway.The interior decorations include paintings by Gerhard Munthe and Theodor Kittelsen.The hotel and its restaurant, De Fem Stuer, are notable for the views of the fjords.

Holmenkollen (Urban East Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈhɔ̂ɫmn̩ˌkɔɫn̩]) is a mountain and a neighbourhood in the Vestre Aker borough of Oslo, Norway. It goes up to 500 metres (1,600 ft) above sea level and is well known for its international skiing competitions.

Holmen is a neighbourhood in Oslo and forms part of the district of Vestre Aker. It is situated between Hovseter in the west and Slemdal in the east, Holmenkollen in the north and Makrellbekken in the south. The name is derived from the Holmen farms. Vestre Holmen is located west of Holmenkollveien, a secondary road in Norway's road network, extends along Arnebråtveien approximately in the north–south direction and west towards the Røa Line of Oslo Metro. Here are the housing estates of Holmenhaugen and Holmengrenda with terraced houses and detached houses. The building company Holmenbygg AS has erected 13 four-story apartment blocks in Lybekkveien, Stasjonsveien, and Holmengrenda streets. The housing estate of the Royal Norwegian Air Force, also called Snippen, is located further up Stasjonsveien, along Landingsveien, in Luftfartsveien, Flyveien, and Pilotveien. It was designed by the architect Erling Viksjø and was built from 1948 to 1952. The housing company was formed by officers of the Norwegian air force and navy. In 1953 the housing estate was awarded Sundts premie for good architecture. It is included in the Golden list of the Oslo City Antiquarian, the manager of the city's cultural heritage. Gressbanen, the stadium of the sports club IF Ready, is located at Holmen. Holmen station was opened on 24 January 1935 together with the Røa Line.

Midtstuen is a station on the Holmenkollen Line (Line 1) on the Oslo Metro, between Skådalen and Besserud. It is the lower end of the popular tobogganing course Korketrekkeren. Midtstuen is located at an altitude of 223.3 meters (733 ft).
