Kent is a hamlet in the town of Carlton within Orleans County, New York, United States. The community is 6.4 miles (10.3 km) north-northeast of Albion. Kent has a post office with ZIP code 14477, which opened on March 30, 1835.

Hindsburg is a hamlet in the town of Murray in Orleans County, New York, United States. It is named after Jacob Hinds, a native of Arlington in Bennington County, Vermont. Hinds settled in Murray circa 1829 and purchased a farm from Jared Luttenton, who had previously constructed a dwelling on the lot. The area quickly became a point of shipping for wheat and produce by way of the Erie Canal and a warehouse was constructed by Hinds in 1830. With no stops between Albion and Hulberton prior to the establishment of Hindsburg, commerce grew quickly and businesses opened in the vicinity. Shortly after the construction of the first warehouse, Joel, Darius, and Franklin Hinds arrived in the vicinity and partnered with their brother in establishing a framed hotel and dry goods store. A small settlement quickly developed at this location as settlers, traveling by way of the Erie Canal, departed north for Kendall after stopping at Hindsburg. The little village remained active in commerce until the completion of the railroad, at which time businesses waned and the population became stagnant. In 1894, the hamlet consisted of two warehouses, a store, blacksmith shop, post office, and approximately fifteen dwellings.

Brockville is a hamlet in the town of Murray in Orleans County, New York, United States. It is named after Heil Brockway, a native of Clinton in Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States. The small settlement is located approximately 0.75 miles east of Hindsburg and was largely settled due to the opening of Medina Sandstone quarries in that vicinity.

Sawyer is a hamlet in the town of Carlton, Orleans County, New York, United States. It is named after John G. Sawyer, a congressman from New York. The settlement was previously named "Curtis's Corners" after John Curtis, a native of New Hampshire, who settled on lot 1, section 5 at Carlton in Orleans County. In 1894 the hamlet contained a store, post office, and blacksmith shop.

The Cobblestone Historic District is located along state highway NY 104 (Ridge Road) in Childs, New York, United States. It comprises three buildings that exemplify the cobblestone architecture developed to a high degree in the regions of upstate New York near Lake Ontario and exported to other areas with settlers. It is the location of the Albion-based Cobblestone Society's Cobblestone Museum.The buildings are in the Federal and Greek Revival styles typical of their era. Later renovations gave them some touches of styles from later in the 19th century, such as Italianate and Gothic Revival; however they remain largely intact in their original designs. They are currently owned by the Cobblestone Society, which has restored and preserved them since the 1960s. Currently the largest building, a former Universalist church that is the oldest cobblestone church in North America, is used as a museum. Another building, a school, is one of only two that use the cobblestones as an outer veneer. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark in 1993. At less than an acre in total area it is the smallest National Historic Landmark District in the state.

Childs is the location of the Cobblestone Historic District that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1993.

Bacon–Harding Farm is a historic home and farm located at Gaines in Orleans County, New York. It is a 200-year-old farm still owned by the same family. The farm is centered on a Greek Revival style cobblestone farmhouse built in 1844.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Carlton is a town in Orleans County, New York, United States. The population was 2,994 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from Carleton, a shipbuilding district near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The Town of Carlton lies in the north part of the county, on the shore of Lake Ontario.

The Tousley-Church House is located on North Main Street (New York State Route 98) in Albion, New York, United States. It is a brick house in the Greek Revival architectural style built in two different stages in the mid-19th century. It shows the strong influence of Minard Lafever, a prominent contemporary practitioner of the style, although its own architect is not known. For many years it was owned by descendants of Sanford E. Church, a local politician who was prominent statewide. Since 1930 it has been the headquarters of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). In 2002 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Charles D'Amico High School [1], also known as Albion High School [2], is a secondary school located in Albion, New York which educates students in grades nine through twelve. The school is named for longtime principal Charles C. D'Amico.The high school operates under what is known as a "block schedule", where students schedule four courses every semester in 20 week blocks. Each blocked class is 85 minutes of instruction, and four minute "between class" breaks. Also, with classes such as band, chorus, yearbook, and newspaper journalism, meet every other day instead of every day. Students who decide to take college courses are able to choose between GCC (Genesee Community College) and SUNY Brockport to earn college credit. For students whom want to take AP classes, there are currently 7 classes available. Along with higher education courses, internships are also available to students who qualify. Niagara-Orleans BOCES is also jointed with the school offering students hands on courses in a trade of their choice. As a requirement, students must complete 30 hours of community service and finish an MST (Math, Science, Technology) project to graduate. For AP students, a service-learning project is required for each class. This project involves the incorporation of the class and acquired skills in hope to better the community. These projects are popular with middle and high schools, and is becoming an important aspect of Albion's classes. Clubs and sports are important aspects of student life at this public school. Two main clubs are the FFA and the National Honor Society. Some other clubs include drama, Marching band, Chess, masterminds, and youth court. Men's and Women's sports include football, cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, wrestling, basketball, swimming, baseball, track and softball have always been a driving part of Albion high as well. Many of the teams have been consistent league champions. Also, these teams are known to consistently earn high academic awards as well. The school is very well known for its football rivalry with Medina.

Beardsley Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of New York. It is a tributary to Marsh Creek. Beardsley Creek was named after Levi Beardsley, who settled the area in the 1820s.

The North Main–Bank Streets Historic District is located along those streets in Albion, New York, United States. It is one of two historic districts in the village, comprising the commercial core of the village, developed during its years as a major stop on the Erie Canal. A portion of the canal, now the New York State Barge Canal, and two of its bridges are within the district. Its buildings represent a diverse collection of architectural styles over a century of development. All but one are considered contributing properties to its historic character. They include an opera house and the village hall. It is one of the most intact commercial areas along the former canal. Many use locally quarried Medina sandstone or brick, a legacy of three destructive fires in the mid and late 19th century which destroyed earlier wood-frame buildings. In 1994, the area was recognized as a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
