Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a national public research university in Singapore. Founded in 1981, it is also the second oldest autonomous university in the country. In response to Singapore’s economic restructuring in the 1970s amid a shortage of engineers, the government established the Nanyang Technological Institute (NTI) in 1981 on the former campus of Nanyang University, with engineering and applied science-focused programmes that emphasised laboratory training and industrial attachments. NTI was elevated to full university status and officially inaugurated as NTU on 1 July 1991 through parliamentary legislation, incorporating the National Institute of Education to support national goals of industrial upgrading and research-intensive higher education in science and technology. NTU's main campus, located in the western part of Singapore, covers 200 hectares (2.0 km2; 490 acres) of land, making it the largest university campus in the country. The university also operates a medical campus in Novena, Singapore's healthcare district. As of 2024, NTU enrolled 37,458 students, and employed 7,997 faculty and staff. The university is organised into a number of colleges and schools, including the College of Engineering, College of Science, Nanyang Business School, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, College of Computing and Data Science, Graduate College, National Institute of Education, and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is an autonomous institute of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Ranked 12th in the world and 2nd in Asia by the QS World University Rankings in the subject of Education in 2015, the institute is the sole teacher education institute for teachers in Singapore. NIE provides all levels of teacher education, ranging from initial teacher preparation, to graduate and in-service programmes, and courses for serving teachers, department heads, vice-principals and principals. Its enrolment stands at more than 5,600 full-time equivalent students. The institute was first established as the Teachers' Training College in 1950.

The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) is an autonomous graduate school and policy-oriented think tank within the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Founded in 1996 as the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, RSIS offers graduate education in international affairs, taught by an array of international faculty. The school is named after former Deputy Prime Minister S. Rajaratnam. RSIS' research, teaching and networking objectives are aimed at assisting policymakers to develop comprehensive approaches to strategic thinking in areas related to Singapore's interests.

The Hive, also known as Learning Hub South, is a building located in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The S$45 million building was designed by Thomas Heatherwick and completed in 2015. Colloquially, the building is known as the "dim sum basket building" due to its likeness to the steamer baskets used to contain dim sum.The Hive was a finalist for the 2015 World Architecture Festival Commercial Mixed-Use Award in the Future Projects subcategory.

The Chinese Heritage Centre (CHC; Chinese: 华裔馆; pinyin: Huáyì Guǎn) is an institute for the study of overseas Chinese under the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. As the first and only university institute for the study of overseas Chinese, it serves as a research centre, a library and a museum.

Peng Kang Hill MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region line in Western Water Catchment, Singapore.It will be the terminus of the West Branch of the Jurong Region line. Trains entering service at this station will terminate at Choa Chu Kang via Bahar Junction.

Nanyang University (Chinese: 南洋大学; pinyin: Nányáng Dàxué, also known as Nantah (Chinese: 南大; pinyin: Nándà), was a university in Singapore between 1956 and 1980. During its existence, it was Singapore's only private university in the Chinese language. In 1980, Nanyang University was merged with the University of Singapore to form the National University of Singapore (NUS). It was only until 2005 that another private school in Singapore, SIM University, was established.

Tawas MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region Line in Western Water Catchment, Singapore.Derived from the namesake road nearby, Lorong Tawas, it will be the northern terminus of the West Branch of the Jurong Region Line from 2027 to 2029 before Peng Kang Hill MRT station opens. There will be two station names in the naming exercise - Tawas and Cleantech. Trains entering service at this station will terminate at Choa Chu Kang via Bahar Junction.

Hong Kah Group Representation Constituency was a five-member Group Representation Constituency located in the western area of Singapore. The constituency covered the areas of Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Upper Bukit Timah, Jurong West and Lim Chu Kang. Hong Kah GRC was formed in 1988 and eventually dissolved and reformed into Chua Chu Kang GRC in 2011. It had always been held by the People's Action Party. It was divided into five sub-areas namely, Bukit Gombak, Hong Kah, Keat Hong, Nanyang and Yew Tee. In 2001, Bukit Gombak SMC was absorbed into the GRC with the town council being Hong Kah Town Council. It was a huge constituency in terms of land area and covered the entire north-western region of Singapore and its territorial waters in the Straits of Johor.

City Harvest Church (Chinese: 城市丰收教会) or CHC is a pentecostal megachurch located within the Yunnan subzone of Jurong West planning area, Singapore. Founded in 1989 by Kong Hee, the church officially bases its values on Charismatic and Pentecostal teachings, with emphases on such doctrines as the Great Commandment, the Great Commission and the Cultural Mandate.City Harvest Church is a congregational member of the National Council of Churches of Singapore. Services are held at its church building in Jurong West and rented hall space at Suntec International Convention Centre. In 2015, six church leaders and fund or finance managers were found guilty of criminal breach of trust and falsification of accounts. When all six of them appealed against the verdict and sentences, the Appeal Court found them guilty of basic criminal breach of trust and reduced their sentences. The Court also noted that the six were not motivated by personal gain, and no permanent loss was intended or caused to CHC – all the monies were returned to the church with interest.The church was one of three megachurches to make it to a list of Singapore's 10 largest charities, according to a report by The Straits Times in 2019.

CleanTech Park is an eco-business park in Singapore, the first in the nation. R&D and test-bedding site for early adoption of green technology and solutions. Under development in three phases with a proposed completion year of 2030, the Park's first multi-tenanted building, CleanTech One, was opened in October 2010. The 50 hectares (120 acres) site is located adjacent to Nanyang Technological University, which plans an integration between the sites as part of its own expansion. In addition to focusing on hosting environmentally friendly industry, the complex is being developed by JTC Corporation with an eye towards environmentally responsible practices, with "green" buildings and maintenance of natural terrain. Together with other precincts such as Nanyang Technological University, Bulim, Tengah, Bahar and CleanTech Park & LaunchPad @ JID forms the future 600-hectare Jurong Innovation District.CleanTech Park currently consist of the following buildings: CleanTech One CleanTech Two Launchpad @ JID
