Tip Top (Clarksville, Tennessee)

Oak Top, also known as The Smith Place, is a historic mansion in Clarksville, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in the 1850s for Thomas W. Wisdom, a county judge. From 1869 to 1890, it was owned by Sterling Beaumont, a tobacco industrialist and banker.The house was designed in the Greek Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 8, 1980.

Madison Street Historic District in Clarksville, Tennessee is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. The district includes work by Clarence Colley, a prominent Nashville architect active in the early decades of the 20th century.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) is a system of schools in Montgomery County, Tennessee serving a population of over 152,934 people. It is the seventh largest district in Tennessee and has earned whole district accreditation. CMCSS is also ISO 9001 certified. Jean Luna-Vedder is currently the Director of Schools. The system serves most of the county. However portions in Fort Campbell are zoned to Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools.The school system has a graduation rate of 94.3% which is higher than the state of Tennessee's 89.6%. There are 44 schools in the district: one K-5 Magnet School, 23 elementary, 8 middle, 7 high, an Alternative School, one Early Technical College at Tennessee College of Applied Technology, and one Middle College, which is located on the campus of Austin Peay State University, and a K-12 Virtual School. Students who are enrolled in CMCSS K-12 Virtual are subject to all State of Tennessee and School Board policies governing promotion, retention, and graduation. All students in virtual school receive live instruction. CMCSS also offers eight specialized, interest-driven college and career academies within our high schools. Three new schools are set to be built to alleviate pressure off of several Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. Kirkwood Middle School is the first to be built set to open for the 2022-23 School Year. Kirkwood High School is set to follow in 2023-24 and Kirkwood Elementary School should open for the 2024-25 School Year. It will be possible that due to the tremendous growth in Clarksville-Montgomery County, that more schools will need to be built in the near future as most schools have a capacity of over 100% The school system employs about 2,500+ certified teachers. The School System employs 5,400+ employees total.

The Louisville and Nashville Railroad Train Station is a restored railroad station in Clarksville, Tennessee. It was opened by the Memphis, Clarksville and Louisville Railroad in 1859.It was restored in 1996 to circa 1901 AD condition and includes a diesel locomotive donated by RJ Corman and a caboose donated by the Pratt Museum at Fort Campbell. It is home to the local farmers market and a local historical society. It can also be rented out for events. The station was at first widely believed to be the one referenced in The Monkees 1966 song "Last Train to Clarksville", though this turned out to be just a coincidence.

The Johnson-Hach House is a historic house in Clarksville, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built circa 1877 for Polk Grundy Johnson, the son of Congressman Cave Johnson. It was purchased in 1917 by Adolph Hach, a German-born businessman who invested in tobacco production. The house remained in the Hach family until 1992.The house was designed in the Italianate architectural style, with Colonial Revival features. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 10, 1998.

Greenwood is a neighborhood in the southern part of the city of Clarksville, Tennessee, USA. Located directly south of downtown, Greenwood is often defined as the area delimited by South Riverside Drive to the west, the Mason Rudolph golf course to the east, Ashland City Road (US-41A Bypass/TN-12) to the south, and Crossland Avenue to the north. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Clarksville. The cemetery that lies within the community, and also bears its name, is one of the oldest in the state of Tennessee, and is the final resting place of Frank Sutton of Sgt. Carter fame from the show Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.. Olympic gold medalist Wilma Rudolph is also buried in Greenwood at a much smaller cemetery, adjacent to the Mason Rudolph golf course. In the early 21st century, the neighborhood had declining conditions of some of its older homes and rising crime rates. The Greenwood and Summit Heights housing project is located in Greenwood, as are the Montgomery County Alternative School, CMCSS headquarters, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Library, and a former boot factory which burned down in 2006.

Catholic Church and Rectory, formally The Immaculate Conception Church, is a historic Roman Catholic church at 716 Franklin Street in Clarksville, Tennessee. The Gothic style building was constructed in 1880, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Northington-Beach House is a historic mansion in Clarksville, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in 1886 for Michael C. Northington, a tobacco merchant who served as the mayor or Clarskville from 1906 to 1910. In 1925, it was purchased by Oscar Beach, the founder of the Pan-American Oil Company.The two-story house was designed in the Italianate architectural style. A Colonial Revival-style porch was added in 1925. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 19, 2001.

St. Peter African Methodist Church is a historic church at 518 Franklin Street in Clarksville, Tennessee, United States. The Gothic Revival church building was constructed in 1873 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Samuel Rexinger House, also known as Archwood, is a historic mansion in Clarksville, Tennessee, U.S.. It is the residence of the president of Austin Peay State University. The house was built in 1878 for Samuel Rexinger, the postmaster of Clarksville from 1867 to 1883. It was later home to professors of the Southwestern Presbyterian University before it was renamed Rhodes College and moved to Memphis. In 1965, the house was purchased by Austin Peay State University to become the university president's residence.The house was designed in the Italianate architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 13, 1977.

Austin Peay State University (APSU) () is a public university in Clarksville, Tennessee. Standing on a site occupied by a succession of educational institutions since 1845, the precursor of the university was established in 1927 and named for then-sitting Governor Austin Peay, who is further honored with "Governors", the name of the university's athletic teams. Affiliated with the Tennessee Board of Regents, it is now governed by the Austin Peay State University Board of Trustees as of May 2017. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and, in 2012, was the fastest-growing university in Tennessee. In 2019, Austin Peay officially hit 11,000 students enrolled.
