Donats Mountain

Cobleskill Historic District is a national historic district located at Cobleskill in Schoharie County, New York. The district includes 180 contributing buildings and eight contributing sites. It encompasses a commercial area, several residential streets, churches, an old school, a railroad, and a fairgrounds. The area includes a small stream that runs through a park containing a millpond. The focal point of the community is the 1874 Hotel Augustan, now used for commercial purposes. The oldest building is the Bull's Head Inn, built in 1802.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Cobleskill is a village in the western part of the town of Cobleskill in Schoharie County, New York, United States. The population was 4,678 at the 2010 census.The village is southwest of Amsterdam. The State University of New York at Cobleskill is located at the western side of the village.

The Battle of Cobleskill (also known as the Cobleskill massacre) was an American Revolutionary War raid on the frontier settlement of Cobleskill, New York on May 30, 1778. The battle, having taken place in the modern-day hamlet of Warnerville, New York, near the modern (2019) Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, marked the beginning of a phase in which Loyalists and Iroquois, encouraged and supplied by British authorities in the Province of Quebec, raided and destroyed numerous villages on what was then the United States western frontier of New York and Pennsylvania. A small party of Iroquois entered Cobleskill and drew the local defenders into a trap set by a much larger party of Iroquois and Loyalists under the command of Joseph Brant. After killing a number of the militia and driving off the remainder, Brant's forces destroyed much of the settlement. New York's defenders retaliated against Brant's actions against Cobleskill and other communities by destroying Iroquois villages later in the year, and Continental Army forces destroyed more Iroquois villages in the Sullivan Expedition of 1779.

The State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill (SUNY Cobleskill) is a public college in Cobleskill, New York. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. It began as the Schoharie State School of Agriculture in 1911 and joined the SUNY system in 1916. SUNY Cobleskill is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the New York State Education Department registers all academic programs.

Warnerville Hill is a mountain in Schoharie County, New York. It is located south-southeast of Cobleskill. Donats Mountain is located north and Petersburg Mountain is located southeast of Warnerville Hill.

Warnerville is a hamlet in Schoharie County, New York, United States. Located along State Route 7 between Cobleskill and Richmondville, it is the municipality containing the majority of the sites of the Battle of Cobleskill. On June 10, 1778, after receiving reliable reports of May's Cobleskill Massacre, the Board of War of the Continental Congress concluded that a major Indian war was in the offing. This would result in the funding from the Continental Congress and orders of General George Washington that launched the punitive 1779 Sullivan Expedition, which burned at least 40 Amerindian towns and villages whilst capturing or destroying great stores of foods. Warnerville is today the site of the Cobleskill/Richmondville High School and has a post office with the ZIP Code of 12187.

C-RCS or Cobleskill–Richmondville Central School District is a Public (government funded) school district in Schoharie County, New York. The district was formed in 1993 by the combination of the Richmondville Central School District and the Cobleskill Central School District. It consists of four schools: the Cobleskill Richmondville High School, the William H. Golding Middle School, the George D. Ryder Elementary School, and the Joseph B. Radez Elementary School. The current superintendent is Matthew Sickles.

West Creek flows through Seward, New York, and Hyndsville, New York, before converging with Cobleskill Creek in Warnerville, New York.

Mount Shank is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York northwest of Cobleskill. Hogback is located northeast, and Donats Mountain is located southeast of Mount Shank.

WCSQ-LP (105.9 FM) was a radio station licensed to Cobleskill, New York, United States. Branded on air as "Radio Cobleskill," the station was awarded its license in January 2014 and first began broadcasting on October 16, 2016, featuring a music-intensive adult hits/hot adult contemporary format, as well as locally produced and syndicated specialty music and public affairs programming. As an LPFM station, it operated on a non-commercial basis, as per the terms of its license.The station was owned and operated by Dialogos of Cobleskill, Incorporated, a non-profit organization based in Cobleskill which produces radio programming and podcasts, including Dialogos Radio. The station operated with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100 watts from the WUCB-LD tower on Route 7 in Richmondville, New York, covering Cobleskill, Richmondville, and the surrounding communities. The station went off the air on February 29, 2020 and turned in its license to the FCC on September 29, 2020.

Petersburg Mountain is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York southeast of Cobleskill. Warnerville Hill is located northwest, and Donats Mountain is located northwest of Petersburg Mountain. In 1940, a 67-foot-6-inch-tall (20.57 m) steel fire lookout tower was built on the mountain. The tower was closed at the end of the 1971 season, and later transferred to Schoharie County for use as a radio tower. The tower site is closed to the public.

Hogback is a mountain in Schoharie County, New York. It is located northeast of Cobleskill. Barrack Zourie is located northwest and Mount Shank is located southwest of Hogback.
