Quiroga is a neighbourhood (barrio) of Bogotá, Colombia.

Rafael Uribe Uribe is the 18th locality of the Capital District in the Colombian capital Bogotá. This district is mostly inhabited by working and lower class residents. It was named after the Liberal General Rafael Uribe Uribe. Historically, it has been a predominantly residential area with minor commercial activity. Since the 1940s, urban expansion began from the flat Bogotá savanna towards higher elevations. Nowadays, the locality's southern part is undergoing urban expansion.

Centro Mayor is a shopping mall located in the south of Bogotá, Colombia. It was inaugurated on March 26, 2010. Centro Mayor is the biggest mall in Colombia and the third one in Latin America.

On 17 January 2019, a vehicle was driven into the General Santander National Police Academy in Bogotá, Colombia. The truck forced its way into the facility, hit a wall and detonated, killing 22 people (including the perpetrator) and injuring 68 others. Suicide attacks are unusual in Colombia. The car contained about 80 kilograms (180 lb) of pentolite. It was the deadliest attack on the Colombian capital since the 2003 El Nogal Club bombing and the first terrorist attack on the capital since the 2017 Centro Andino bombing. The National Liberation Army (ELN) accepted responsibility for the attack and justified it as a response to the bombings made by the Colombian government during the unilateral ceasefire.

General Santander National Police Academy (or Escuela General Santander de la Policia Nacional in Spanish) is the main educational center for the Colombian National Police. The academy functions as a university for the formation of its force.

Tunjuelito is the 6th locality of the Capital District of the Colombian capital, Bogotá. Tunjuelito is located in the south of Bogotá, bordering to the north with the localities of Bosa, Kennedy and Puente Aranda, to the east with the localities of Rafael Uribe Uribe and Usme, to the south with Usme and to the west with Ciudad Bolívar. This district is mostly inhabited by working and lower class residents.

The Gabriel García Márquez - El Tunal Public Library, is a library located in the Tunal Park in the south of Bogotá. It was designed by architects Suely Vargas Nóbrega, Manuel Antonio Guerrero and Marcia Wanderley and was inaugurated on May 10, 2001, forming part of the BibloRed Network of Public Libraries, and receives approximately 4,000 people of different ages daily. On June 18, 2014, by means of Agreement #556 (articles three) of the Bogotá City Council, the Library was renamed as the Gabriel García Márquez - El Tunal Public Library, to honor the Colombian writer and Nobel Prize winner.

Ciudad Tunal is a neighbourhood (barrio) of the locality Tunjuelito in Bogotá, Colombia.

Puente Aranda is the 16th location of the Capital District of the Colombian capital city, Bogotá. It is located in the center part of Bogotá. This district is mostly inhabited by lower middle and working class residents. The district was named after an old bridge in the hacienda of Juan Aranda over the "Chinúa River", now called the San Francisco River, that dates to the 16th century. Puente Aranda has 1,724 hectares (4,260 acres) of area which are almost entirely urban. This locality has more than 300,000 inhabitants, 5% of the total urban area inhabitants of Bogota.

Los Mártires (Spanish for "The Martyrs") is the 14th locality of Bogotá, capital of Colombia. It is located near the city's downtown to its west. This district is mostly inhabited by lower middle and working class residents. It takes its name in honor of those who died during the war for independence from Spain. It is completely urbanized, save for its parks and the banks of its rivers.

Santa Inés is a neighbourhood (barrio) of Bogotá, Colombia.

El Cartucho or Calle del Cartucho was a street in the neighborhood of Santa Inés in Bogota which was destroyed and replaced by a park. At its time, it was one of the poorest and most dangerous areas in Colombia, known for rampant drug trafficking and inhabited by the poverty stricken. El Cartucho was widely considered to be a symbol of urban degradation.
