The Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Los Angeles, California is a monumental building on Wilshire Boulevard which was completed in 1961. It was designed by Millard Sheets. The building was purchased by The Maurice and Paul Marciano Art Foundation in July 2013. It was opened as a contemporary art museum from 2017 to 2019.It was associated with the Scottish Rite order within Freemasonry.

The Ebell of Los Angeles is a women's club housed in a complex in the Mid-Wilshire section of Los Angeles, California. It includes a clubhouse building and the 1,270-seat Wilshire Ebell Theatre. The complex has been owned and operated since 1927 by the Ebell of Los Angeles women's club, which was formed in Los Angeles in 1894 or 1897. Since 1927, the Wilshire Ebell Theatre has hosted musical performances and lectures by world leaders and top artists. Among other events, the Ebell was the site of aviator Amelia Earhart's last public appearance before attempting the 1937 around-the-world flight during which she disappeared. It is also the place where Judy Garland was discovered while performing as Baby Frances Gumm in the 1930s.

St. James' Episcopal Church, or St. James’ in-the-City, as it is commonly called, to distinguish it from the St. James' Episcopal Church in South Pasadena, is a historic Episcopal church, located in the Wilshire Center area of Los Angeles, California, between Koreatown and Hancock Park. St. James’ in-the-City Episcopal Church is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.

Windsor Square is a small, historic neighborhood in the Wilshire region of Los Angeles, California. It is highly diverse in ethnic makeup, with an older population than the city as a whole. It is the site of the official residence of the mayor of the city and is served by a vest-pocket public park.

St. Brendan Catholic Church is a Catholic church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, located in the Windsor Square section of Los Angeles, California. The current Gothic Revival-style church was built in 1927 and has also served as a location for various Hollywood productions.

The Getty Building is a 22-storey former office tower in Los Angeles, California. The building was a project of J. Paul Getty and upon completion served as the head office of Getty Oil. The architect for the structure was Claud Beelman whose design was in a New Formalist mode. Construction began on March 14, 1961, and the building opened officially on April 22, 1963. After sitting vacant for a decade, the building underwent a residential conversion and reopened in 2007 as a condominium called the Mercury.

Cinema Makeup School is a private, for-profit makeup training school located in Los Angeles. The school was founded in 1993. Specialties include beauty make-up for film and television as well as fashion and editorial purposes, hairstyling, airbrushing and bodypainting, character make-up, special make-up effects and prosthetics, creature maquette sculpture and digital makeup effects design, along with Advanced Lab Techniques and Advanced Beauty Techniques. Several graduates of the school have appeared as contestants on Syfy's reality game show Face Off.

Wilshire/Western station is an underground rapid transit (known locally as a subway) station on the D Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located under Wilshire Boulevard at Western Avenue, after which the station is named, in the Mid-Wilshire and Koreatown districts of Los Angeles. It is the current western terminus of the D Line. Prior plans called for the D Line to extend to Fairfax Avenue, then turn north into the San Fernando Valley but due to political disagreements, the line currently terminates here and the B Line travels to the Valley via Vermont Avenue. Metro is now currently constructing the Purple Line Extension to extend the D Line west from this station to Westwood/VA Hospital station in Westwood, near UCLA.The two artwork installations at Wilshire/Western are called "People Coming", and the other "People Going". They are large murals at each end of the station. The artist responsible is Richard Wyatt, a Lynwood native. The courtyard features a plaque commemorating former California Assemblymember Alfred H. Song and is officially named "Wilshire/Western/Alfred Hoyun Song station," although the full name is not used on any station signs.
