Owingsville is a home rule-class city in Bath County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 1,530 during the year 2010 U.S. Census. It is the county seat and is located roughly at the county's center, at the junction of US 60 and Kentucky 36. It is part of the Mount Sterling micropolitan area.

Bath County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 12,750. The county seat is Owingsville. The county was formed in 1811. Bath County is included in the Mount Sterling, KY Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Lexington-Fayette–Richmond–Frankfort, KY combined statistical area.

Owingsville Commercial District and Courthouse Square is a historic district in Owingsville, Kentucky which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and was expanded by a boundary increase listing in 1985. The original listing was for 33 contributing buildings on 8 acres (3.2 ha). This includes: Methodist Church (1845) Colonel Thomas Deye Owings House (1811–14), separately listed on the National Register more The increase was to add an Italianate-style building at 122 E. Main.

The Col. Thomas Deye Owings House, at Main St. and Courthouse Sq. in Owingsville, Kentucky, was built during 1811–14. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It has also served as a hotel and as a bank, and has been known as the Owings House and as the Owingsville Banking Company Building It is a prominent building whose design has traditionally been attributed to famous architect Benjamin Latrobe.

The J.J. Nesbitt House, at 233 W. Main St. in Owingsville, Kentucky, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. It was built during 1876-78 and is mainly Italianate in style.

It is listed as "address restricted" in the NRIS database, but at 250 W. Main St. in its Inventory/Nomination document. The NRHP nomination document is not publicly available at the National Park Service and is recorded as being "Fully restricted" at NARA. It has also been known as the J.A.J. Lee House and denoted as BH-0-4.

Myrtle Hill, located near Owingsville, Kentucky, is a Federal-style house and outbuildings dating from 1815. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The listing includes four contributing buildings. The main house is a one-and-a-half-story brick residence.
