Fawdon Wagonway

Red House Farm is a residential area of Newcastle upon Tyne, about 4 miles (6 km) north west of the city centre. It is bordered by Fawdon to the south and North Gosforth to the north. It is a small residential area of primarily semi-detached houses and flats. It is also home to some small independent retailers and The Northumbrian Piper restaurant and pub. The Red House Farm area is served by a number of local bus routes.

Newcastle Great Park is a new suburb in the north of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Much of Newcastle Great Park is still under development and is sandwiched in between older areas of Newcastle, namely Gosforth, Fawdon and Kingston Park to the south, and Hazlerigg to the north. Newcastle Great Park is the largest housing development in the North East of England.

Fawdon is an electoral ward of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is also close to the A1 western bypass. The population of the ward is 10,890, reducing to 10,090 at the 2011 Census, 5.7% of the total population of Newcastle upon Tyne. Car ownership in the area is 53.6%, lower than the city average of 54.7%. It is situated about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north-by-west from Newcastle City Centre and is at the site of three colliery villages which were known as High Fawdon, Fawdon Square and Low Fawdon. Fawdon Square was the birthplace of 19th-century poet and songwriter Marshall Cresswell.

Fawdon is a Tyne and Wear Metro station, serving the Fawdon and Kenton districts of Newcastle upon Tyne. It joined the network on 10 May 1981, following the opening of the second phase of the network, between South Gosforth and Bank Foot, and is situated on the Green Line.

Coxlodge was a railway station on the Ponteland Railway, which ran between South Gosforth and Ponteland, with a sub-branch line to Darras Hall. The station served Coxlodge and Fawdon in Newcastle upon Tyne. The station was opened on 1 June 1905, by the North Eastern Railway. It was situated at the junction of Edgefield Avenue, Fawdon Walk and The Meadows. The ticket selling statistics in 1911 showed that this was the least popular station on the branch line.

Wansbeck Road is a Tyne and Wear Metro station, serving the suburbs of Coxlodge and Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne in Tyne and Wear, England. It joined the network on 10 May 1981, following the opening of the second phase of the network, between South Gosforth and Bank Foot.

Broadway West Sports Ground is a multi-use sports complex in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is located in the Parklands ward. It is home to sports teams that are under the Gosforth Sports Association banner; Gosforth Rugby Football Club, Newcastle City Cricket Club, Tyne Tees Tigers and Newcastle Nighthawks Baseball Club. The site is located near the Wansbeck Road Metro station. Gosforth Rugby Football Club moved to the site after previously being tenants at Bullocksteads Sports Ground and Druid Park.The sports ground and adjacent Kingston Park Road playing fields are also used for community groups and events. It also hosts the Newcastle Roundtable Fireworks Display annually around Guy Fawkes Night. Red House Farm J.F.C. play at the adjacent Kingston Park Road playing fields after moving from Broadway West in 2003 to build their own club house.Gosforth Sports Association took a 30-year lease on the site and clubhouse in September 2015 from Newcastle City Council.

Coxlodge is an area situated between Fawdon, Gosforth and Kenton in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Parklands is an electoral ward of Newcastle upon Tyne in North East England. It encompasses the northern edge of the suburb of Gosforth, north of the Metro line and bisected north–south by the Great North Road to the northern boundary of the City of Newcastle, bounded to the west by the A1 and east by the A189. It possesses large areas of green space including Gosforth Park Race Course, Gosforth Wood and Gosforth Lake, plus a number of golf courses. Melton Park contains the remains of a medieval chapel which is a scheduled ancient monument.

North Kenton is a suburban housing estate in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne, in Tyne and Wear, England, located north west of the city centre and to the east of Kingston Park. North Kenton is a well known area in Newcastle, known to have a strong community spirit. Once a month, the local tenants and residents group known as North Kenton Tenants and Residents Association, work all year round to create events for the whole community. In August every year they plan the annual Family Fun Day with help funding from local business and Newcastle City Council. In 2016 North Kenton Tenants and Residents Association launched their website The area includes a refurbished park, and a sports centre. Buses operate to West Denton, Newcastle General Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne and the MetroCentre in Gateshead.Primary education is provided at Mountfield School and St Cuthberts Primary School; Kenton School is the local high school.

Havannah Nature Reserve lies to the west of the village of Hazlerigg, approximately five miles north of the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne in the north of England. It was declared a nature reserve in 1998 and is designated a Site of Local Conservation Interest. A wildlife corridor runs through the site. Owned by Newcastle City Council and managed by Urban Green Newcastle, it is often referred to as Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve, so called after the drift mine and the slag heaps, which were located at the site when Hazlerigg Colliery was operational, from 1892 to 1964.

St Nicholas Hospital is an NHS psychiatric hospital located in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, UK. The entrance is located on Jubilee Road. The buildings range from Victorian-era to modern facilities and occupy 12 hectares (30 acres) of land. The hospital is managed by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.
