Somma Lombardo

The Visconti Castle of Somma Lombardo is a medieval castle-palace in Somma Lombardo, Province of Varese, Lombardy, northern Italy.

Arsago Seprio is a town and comune located in the province of Varese, in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Famous for relevant archaeological remains of a Longobard necropolis as well a Romanic church and baptistery from the 9th and 10th century AD. Arsago is also known in the international sporting world as the site of World motocross championships which have been taking place since the mid nineteen eighties.

Canale Villoresi is a canal in Italy; it was the brainchild of Lombardy engineer Eugenio Villoresi. It originates from the River Ticino near the village of Somma Lombardo, and runs eastwards for 86 kilometres (53 mi) to the Adda River. Construction began in 1877, but Villoresi himself died two years later. The works were completed in 1890 by a consortium. Irrigation was the canal's main reason for being but the addition of locks enabled cargoes of sand to be carried along it.

Casorate Sempione is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Milan and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,334 and an area of 6.9 square kilometres (2.7 sq mi).Casorate Sempione borders the following municipalities: Arsago Seprio, Cardano al Campo, Gallarate, Somma Lombardo.

Malpensa Aeroporto Terminal 2 is a railway station serving Terminal 2 of Milan-Malpensa Airport. It opened in 2016 with the 3.4 kilometer railway extension from the Terminal 1 railway station, thus becoming the western terminus of the Busto Arsizio–Malpensa Airport railway, managed by Ferrovienord.

Vizzola Ticino is a village and comune of the province of Varese in Lombardy, Italy. It is on the banks of the Ticino River, immediately to the west of Strada Provinciale 52 on the western perimeter of Malpensa Airport. In the late 19th century, the town was the site of one of the largest electrical generating facilities in Europe, powered by a canal run from the Ticino. The Caproni aircraft company had a manufacturing facility here and the Gianni Caproni Museum of Aeronautics was situated here from the 1960s to the 1980s.

Golasecca (Varesotto: Vorasecca or Gorasecca) is a town and comune in the province of Varese, Lombardy (Northern Italy). It has given its name to the Golasecca culture, a prehistoric civilization who lived in the Ticino River area from the Bronze Age until the 1st century BC.

Mornago-Cimbro railway station (Italian: Stazione di Mornago-Cimbro) is a railway station in the comune of Mornago, in the Italian region of Lombardy. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Luino–Milan line of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana.
