Trigon Hill

Wareham Forest is an area of countryside in Dorset, England, consisting of open heathland, including Decoy Heath and Gore Heath, and plantations of conifers such as Morden Heath and Bloxworth Heath. The site is managed by Forestry England for conservation and recreation. Situated next to the A35 road between Dorchester and Poole; the forest provides a home for sika deer, the Dartford warbler and a population of sand lizards.

Woolsbarrow Hillfort is a hillfort on Bloxworth Heath in the district of Purbeck in the county of Dorset, England. It dates to the period from the Late Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age (8th–5th centuries BC) and is classed as an ancient monument. Despite the hillfort only being at an altitude of 220 feet (67 m) it is said to "dominate the surrounding heathland."

Worgret Heath SSSI, Dorset (grid reference SY895871) is an 8.4 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Dorset, notified in 1987.The site has a large population of Sand Lizards.

Worgret is a hamlet in the English county of Dorset. It is situated immediately to the west of the town of Wareham. Worgret forms part of the civil parish of Arne, within the Purbeck local government district.

Decoy Heath is an area of open heathland and bog forming part of Wareham Forest west of the Poole-Bournemouth conurbation in south Dorset, England. It is part of the Dorset Heaths. Decoy Heath is the lower part of Morden Bog, which is a National Nature Reserve, and lies in the centre of Wareham Forest about 2.5 kilometres north-northwest of the village of Sandford to the west of the B 3075. To the east, across the B road is Gore Heath; to the north, beyond the Sherford River, the land rises up to the open hillsides of Chitten Hill (41m) and to the south to wooded slopes of Great Ovens Hill (37m). To the west are Morden Heath, Northport Heath and Trigon Hill. The Hardy Way runs along the western edge of the heath and there is a memorial by the wayside. The Decoy Pond and its associated overnight shelter are a scheduled monument. It is one of only two surviving decoy ponds in Dorset.

East Holme is a small village and civil parish situated about halfway between Wool and Wareham in Dorset, England. The village is sprawled around a large house called Holme Priory. In 2013 the estimated population of the civil parish was 50.The South West Main Line from London Waterloo to Weymouth runs through the village and, although the train does not stop, the village contains one of only a few of the remaining manned gate crossings. These have become particularly rare in the area.

Purbeck Miniature Railway is a 7+1⁄4 in (184 mm) gauge miniature railway, located at The Purbeck School near Wareham, Dorset, England. Construction started in the late 1980s in co-operation with the Weymouth & District Society of Model Engineers and has closed due to building works on The Purbeck School. The line runs from a passenger station at Monument, around the main playground, before crossing a bridge and passing through a tunnel to reach the second station where the main sheds are located. The line is approximately 250 metres (270 yd) long.

The Purbeck School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Wareham in the central southern area of Dorset, England, on the Isle of Purbeck.The organisation of schools in the Purbeck area is based on a comprehensive two-tier system. Children transfer at the age of 11 from eleven Primary Schools (ages 5 to 11) and most of them will then come to The Purbeck School (11 to 16). The school also operates a sixth form which has students ages 16 to 18. Previously a community school administered by Dorset Council, in May 2022 The Purbeck School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by The Thomas Hardye Trust.

East Stoke is a village in the English county of Dorset. It lies three miles west of the small town of Wareham and two miles east of Wool. In 2013 the estimated population of the civil parish was 410.The Freshwater Biological Association runs a research centre on the banks of the River Frome, from which the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust runs its research into atlantic salmon declines.

Wareham railway station serves the town of Wareham in Dorset, England. It is situated about 0.6 miles (1 km) north of the town centre. It is 120 miles 70 chains (194.5 km) down the line from London Waterloo. On tickets it is printed "Wareham Dorset" to avoid confusion with Ware railway station.

Bloxworth is a village and civil parish in the English county of Dorset, within Wareham Forest on the A35 road 5 miles (8 km) west of Poole. In the 2011 census the civil parish had 80 households and a population of 200. Bloxworth Heath is home to Woolsbarrow Hillfort. To the northwest of the village is Bloxworth House, the first brick building in Dorset. The hamlet of East Bloxworth lies about a mile to the east of the village.
