Burton Township, Ohio

Burton is a village in Geauga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,407 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. Burton is the location of Century Village, run by the Geauga Historical Society. The museum village is composed of 19th-century buildings moved there from other locations. Many special events are held there each year, as well as at the Geauga County Fairgrounds, also in Burton.

The Great Geauga County Fair is Ohio's oldest continuous county fair and home to one of the oldest existing agricultural societies in America. It is held annually in Burton, Ohio every Labor Day weekend as a "grand finale" to the summer. It has been around for almost 190 years, and each year nearly a quarter of a million people of all ages come to enjoy the more than 12,000 exhibits, animals, rides, food, music, entertainment and special attractions which are featured, as billed in the Fair's motto "Something for Everyone Since 1823".

About 20% of the counties area ( Geauga, Trumbull, Ashtabula and Portage ) population is Amish, as of 2017.

Claridon Congregational Church is a historic church building on U.S. Route 322 in Claridon Township in Geauga County, Ohio. The Greek Revival meetinghouse was constructed in 1831 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The congregation is currently affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC).

Because of its central location, home of the areas' public schools and prominent business and retail presence, Middlefield village is considered the hub community for Huntsburg, Parkman, and Middlefield Townships.

Geauga County Airport (FAA LID: 7G8), is a public use airport in southern Geauga County, Ohio, United States. Owned and operated by Geauga County since 1968, it serves all of Geauga County. The airport is located 40 nautical miles (12 mi, 19 km) east of downtown Cleveland. The airport serves as the area base for University Hospitals' AirMed 1 medical helicopter, as well as for The Cleveland Soaring Society, a glider club. It is home to Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 5, which holds regular social events at the airport.
