The Ambrose Burton House, located on Unity Rd. near Harrodsburg, Kentucky, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.It is believed to have been built by Ambrose Burton in 1798. The house is a two-story log building with a single room on each floor. It is 18 by 24 feet (5.5 m × 7.3 m) in plan.

The New Providence Presbyterian Church near Salvisa, Kentucky is a historic Greek Revival-style church built between 1862 and 1865. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is located 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Salvisa on U.S. Route 127, on the route of the Old Wilderness Road. The church is one of the oldest Presbyterian churches in Kentucky. It was organized in 1785 and was one of the founding churches of the Transylvania Presbytery in 1786.

The John McGee House, near Cornishville, Kentucky, United States, was built around 1790. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.It is a two-story hall parlor plan dry stone house with two bays on its second floor and three bays on its first. It was built by American Revolutionary War soldier John McGee (b. 1730) who moved to Kentucky in 1775. He owned 1,000 acres (4.0 km2).It is a "good example" of an "early stone house". A one-story ell was added around 1825.It includes some element of Federal style.A second contributing building is a "dairy", which is a root cellar with a granary above.

The Benjamin Daniel House, located on Canaan Land Farm in Mercer County, Kentucky northeast of Harrodsburg, about .75 miles (1.21 km) off U.S. Route 68, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The listing included four contributing buildings.The house is a brick one-and-a-half-story three-bay hall-parlor plan house which was built around 1800. Its brick on north and south walls is laid in Flemish bond. Accompanying the house are a smokehouse and two sheds.

Mercer County is a county located in the central part of the U.S. Commonwealth of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 23,772. Its county seat is Harrodsburg. The county was formed from Lincoln County, Virginia in 1785 and is named for Revolutionary War General Hugh Mercer, who was killed at the Battle of Princeton in 1777. It was formerly a prohibition or dry county.
