St. John's Kilmarnock School (often called SJK or Kilmarnock ) is a private school in Waterloo Region, Ontario, operating under the International Baccalaureate program. The school has graduated many notable alumni. SJK has 425 students and is a highly selective school, accepting approximately 20% of applicants in 2021. Founded in 1976 by a group of churches in the Cambridge area, Woodland provides Christian-based education. For several years, it operated from several Church facilities in the Cambridge and Kitchener–Waterloo areas. In 1979, the school moved into its current location. The facility has had multiple expansions and renovations which took place in 2002 and 2014.Woodland draws students from an area bounded by Ayr, Cambridge, Rockwood, New Dundee, Listowel, Drayton, and Waterloo encompassing Kitchener and Guelph.Woodland's sports teams, the Cavaliers, compete in District 8 Athletic Association of the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association, as well as the Ontario Christian Secondary Schools Athletic Association. Breslau GO Station is a planned GO Transit train station to be built by Metrolinx near the community of Breslau in Woolwich, Ontario, as part of GO Transit's Regional Express Rail (RER) expansion program. The preliminary plan is to provide approximately 1000 parking spaces. A kiss and ride area and a bus loop are also planned to be provided. Metrolinx expects the station's daily ridership to be 2,480 in 2031.

Breslau (bɹˈɛsla͡ʊ) is a community located within the township of Woolwich, part of the Waterloo Regional Municipality in Ontario Canada. Separated from the city of Kitchener by the Grand River, Breslau is named after the former German city of Breslau, now Wrocław, capital of Poland's Lower Silesia. It is located at the junction of Highway 7 and Waterloo Regional Road 17. This routing, although recently bypassed, is the main route between Kitchener and the nearby Region of Waterloo International Airport, located south of the settled area. It is also close to the city of Guelph.

Wellington Brewery is a brewery in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1985 and was one of the first North American breweries to revive the ancient technique of brewing cask-conditioned cask ale. Phil Gosling was the founder. By 2011, the volume of sales required the company to expand its brewing capacity. Two new 150HL tanks were installed. In January 2013, four more tanks were installed to keep up with demand for Wellington products. In 2015, the company's facility was expanded with a 12,000-square-foot addition, including a 40-hectolitre brew house and new packaging line. At that time, the company employed a staff of 45. The company also has a distribution warehouse in Toronto. In 2000, new owners acquired the company: Mike Stirrup and Doug Dawkins. Unlike many small breweries making Beer in Canada, Wellington has not been acquired by a major brewer; hence, the company now bills itself as Canada's oldest independently owned craft brewery, despite being predated by B.C.'s Spinnakers Brewpub and Vancouver Island Brewing (both founded in 1984). Traditionally, this craft beer was sold in bottles, but recently, the company has increased the use of cans to meet the growing public demand for this type of beer container.The Wellington beers are brewed in small batches with natural ingredients and uses no cold filtration, natural carbonation, no pasteurization, and secondary fermentation in casks. The brewery's architecture is an homage to the traditional Oast house, the farm building used for drying hops in preparation for the brewing processOver the years the company has won numerous awards for its products, at events such as the Canadian Brewing Awards, the Ontario Brewing Awards and the U.S. Open Beer Championship. In the 2016 Ontario Brewing Awards, for example, Wellington's Imperial Russian Stout earned a gold medal, County Dark Ale received a gold medal, Iron Duke won a bronze, and Arkell Best Bitter earned a silver. In the small-batch category (brewed in collaboration with another company), Wellington gained awards for the Welly One-Off Series, A Spice Odyssey and Farmers' Market Rhubarb Saison.In the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards, Wellington received three Silver awards: for WHelles Lager, Arkell Best Bitter and Faces Double IPA.

It has year round daily flights to Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria, Winnipeg, Calgary, Orlando, Halifax, Fort Lauderdale and Kelowna through Flair Airlines and WestJet. It also has seasonal flights to Cancun through Sunwing Airlines and Flair Airlines. In 2022, the airport ranked seventh-busiest in Canada by total aircraft movements and twentieth-busiest by passenger traffic. The airport is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CBSA officers at this airport can handle any general aviation aircraft up to 180 people with two hours prior notice.The terminal building has an international/domestic lounge. There are two separate baggage carousel, one for domestic and the other international. There are four gates (one international, one domestic arrivals, two domestic departures) at this terminal to handle scheduled flights. There is a licensed sit-down eating area and a vending area for people travelling through the airport.

The Walter Bean Grand River Trail (also sometimes shortened as the Walter Bean Trail) is a 76-kilometre (47 mi) multi-use trail that runs along the Grand River in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The trail runs through the cities of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo and is owned and maintained by the cities. It is considered part of the larger Grand Valley Trail, a 250-kilometre (160 mi) route that runs along much of the length of the river. A section of the trail is labelled the Economical Insurance Trailway, spanning from the Waterloo city limits in the north to the start of the Cambridge city limits in the south.

Winterbourne (; locally [ˈwɪ̃ɾɝˌbɝːn]) is a village located to the east of the Grand River in the township of Woolwich in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It is located just northeast of the city of Waterloo. The fine stonework of the Scottish stonemasons can be seen in many of the older buildings throughout the settlement.

CMT Music Fest was a two-day country music festival presented by Corus Live, a division of Corus Entertainment, which also owns the Canadian specialty channel CMT. The inaugural event was held on July 8–9, 2016 at Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
