CMT Music Fest was a two-day country music festival presented by Corus Live, a division of Corus Entertainment, which also owns the Canadian specialty channel CMT. The inaugural event was held on July 8–9, 2016 at Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

Woodside National Historic Site is the childhood home of former Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. King resided there from 1886 to 1893. The house is located in the city of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The house was built in 1853. A group of local citizens created the Mackenzie King Woodside Trust to preserve the house from demolition and acquire the property. The house has been restored to reflect the Victorian era, and is managed and interpreted as a unit of the national park system. The 11.5-acre (47,000 m2) site includes wooded grounds, gardens, and lawn. A video presentation is shown about the King family and Woodside. Victorian period programs and special events are offered, but the house is open fewer than 60 days a year, on select dates from October to mid-December. The grounds are open year-round. The house and the grounds were designated a National Historic Site in 1952.

The Lancaster Smokehouse (colloquially The Lanc) is a southern-style barbeque restaurant in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada at 574 Lancaster Street West. The restaurant is located at a historical building, which was built as a railroad hotel in the 1840s. It was heavily renovated after 4 fires between 1992 and 1994. The building was purchased by Hog Tails in 2011, becoming their second location. The restaurant mostly serves meat-focused dishes which are smoked using aged hickory. The restaurant began a trend of Southern food restaurants in Waterloo Region.

Woodland Christian High School (WCHS) is a secondary school located in Breslau, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1976 by a group of churches in the Cambridge area, Woodland provides Christian-based education. For several years, it operated from several Church facilities in the Cambridge and Kitchener–Waterloo areas. In 1979, the school moved into its current location. Public Kitchen & Bar (stylized as PUBLIC Kitchen & Bar) is a tapas-style bistro in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, located at 300 Victoria St. N. The restaurant began as a catering business, before opening its first brick-and-mortar location in 2013. The restaurant is owned by Carly Blasutti and Ryan Murphy. In 2017, the restaurant moved to a much larger location. The menu frequently changes, and consists of tapas-style shareable plates. The food is mainly Spanish cuisine, but takes inspiration from a variety of other cuisines.
