Johnston's Pier

Clifford Pier was a former pier located beside Collyer Quay at Marina Bay within the Downtown Core of the Central Area, Singapore. The pier, which opened in 1933, ceased operations in 2006. In 2008 the site was converted into a restaurant, One on the Bund, with Chinese cuisine. This restaurant closed in 2014 and was replaced by another restaurant, The Clifford Pier, which offers a selection of local, Asian, and Western dishes under the operations of the Fullerton Bay Hotel.

Saint Pierre is a Michelin starred French cuisine restaurant in Singapore. Named after the Saint Pierre Chapel in Notre-Dame de Paris, it serves Asian-French cuisine. It was opened by Belgian-born chef Emmanuel Stroobant and his Malaysian-Chinese wife Edina Hong.The restaurant first opened at Central Mall in Singapore in December 2000. It is currently located in One Fullerton.

The Ocean Financial Centre is an office building located at Collyer Quay in the Raffles Place region of Downtown Core planning area, Singapore. It is built on the site of the former Ocean Building, which has been demolished. The new building retained the name and many of the tenants of the former office block, and will serve primarily as a home to financial corporations. The building features a large solar array and is located next to Raffles Place MRT station. On 17 October 2011, K-REIT Asia acquired the building from Keppel Land for more than S$2 billion.Ocean Financial Centre used to house the Honorary Consulate of Cyprus on the 37th floor of the building.

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is a five-star luxury hotel located near the mouth of the Singapore River, in the Downtown Core of the Central Area, Singapore. It was originally known as the Fullerton Building, and also as the General Post Office Building. The address is 1 Fullerton Square. The Fullerton Building was named after Robert Fullerton, the first Governor of the Straits Settlements (1826–1829). Commissioned in 1924 as part of the British colony's centennial celebrations, the building was designed as an office building by Major P.H. Keys of Keys & Dowdeswell, a Shanghai firm of architects, which won the project through an architectural design competition. The architectural firm also designed the Capitol Theatre, its adjoined Capitol Building and the Singapore General Hospital. In 2015, it is gazetted as a national monument of Singapore.

16 Collyer Quay, formerly Hitachi Tower is a 37-storey, 166 m (545 ft), skyscraper in the central business district of Singapore. It is located on 16 Collyer Quay, in the zone of Raffles Place, near Chevron House, Change Alley, Tung Centre, and The Arcade, all of which are roughly 100 metres away. Facing Clifford Pier, the building commands a panoramic view of Marina Bay. It has an underground linkage to Raffles Place MRT station. The skyscraper has a spire that is 13 m (43 ft), which increases the tower overall height from 166 to 179 m (545 to 587 ft) It is on a 999-year leasehold.16 Collyer Quay has a net lettable area of approximately 25,980 m2 (279,600 sq ft). The building had close to 100% occupancy as of December 31, 2007, and key tenants include Hitachi and American Express.

The Bank of China Building is a development consisting of two skyscrapers located in the central business district of Singapore. It is located on 4 Battery Road, adjacent to 6 Battery Road, Maybank Tower, and roughly 100 metres from the Fullerton Hotel. The Tower serves as the headquarters for the Bank of China.

Malayan Bank Chambers, also known as Maybank Chambers and originally known as the Whiteaway Laidlaw Building or the Whiteaway Laidlaw & Co Building, was a building on Battery Road in Singapore.

Maybank Tower is a 32 storey 175.26 m (575.0 ft) skyscraper and the current headquarters of Maybank in Singapore. The building was completed in 2001. When night falls, only the logo and the first few levels of the building are lit. In mid-2008 two bright light stripes were added to the outer edges of the building from the ground to the roof. As the building is situated behind the national icon of Singapore, the statue of the Merlion, on Marina Bay, the building is often featured as a backdrop to the Merlion on local postcards.

Palm Beach Seafood Restaurant is a Singaporean restaurant that first began along Upper East Coast Road in Singapore, with its owners credited with inventing and developing the popular local dish, the Singaporean chili crab.Founded as a pushcart roadside stall in 1956, it became a permanent restaurant six years later in 1962. Since 2008, the restaurant has been located at the Downtown Core district of Singapore, being located at the One Fullerton mall along Fullerton Road and across the Fullerton Hotel, which is located close to the main Merlion statue at Merlion Park.

Change Alley is an air-conditioned shopping arcade in the financial district of Raffles Place in Downtown Core planning area of Singapore. Flanked by the skyscrapers Chevron House and Hitachi Tower, it is an alley that links Raffles Place and Collyer Quay. It was renovated to what it is today in 1989, replacing the old Change Alley whose history dates back as far as 1819.

Chevron House, formerly called Caltex House, is a high-rise skyscraper located in the central business district of Singapore. It is located on 30 Raffles Place, in the financial district of Raffles Place. The building is near several buildings and landmarks, such as Singapore Land Tower, 16 Collyer Quay, Change Alley and The Arcade, all of which are less than 100 metres (110 yd) away. The development has direct underground access to Raffles Place MRT station. 16 Collyer Quay, a nearby neighbour of Chevron House, shares a four-level retail podium with the building. Chevron House has a total of 33 floors, excluding 3 basement levels, and it rises 152.0 metres (498.7 ft) above ground. The international headquarters of Caltex is situated in the building.

The Downtown Core is the historical and downtown centre of the city-state of Singapore and the main commercial area in Singapore excluding reclaimed lands with many integrated resorts such as the Marina Bay Sands, one of the most expensive buildings in the world, with the most expensive standalone casino at Bayfront Avenue. There are many skyscrapers in Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar and Marina Bay CBD with a height limit of 280m. It is one of the eleven planning areas located within the most urbanised Central Area, forming the latter's dense urban core. It is bounded by Rochor to the north, Kallang to the northeast, Marina East and Marina South to the east, Straits View to the southeast, Bukit Merah to the south, as well as Outram, Museum and Singapore River to the west. As the financial Heart of Singapore, the Downtown Core houses the headquarters and offices of numerous corporations, as well as the Singapore Exchange. The area is also home to many governmental institutions, notably the seat of Parliament and the Supreme Court of Singapore. Singapore's modern history began in this area, when Stamford Raffles and representatives of the British East India Company landed along the banks of the Singapore River to set up a free port in Southeast Asia. As the old harbour grew along the mouth of the river bank, the city naturally expanded around it, creating what is now the Central Area. The name "Downtown Core" remains relatively unheard of and the term Central Business District (CBD) is commonly used in conversation instead. However, the area known as the CBD actually comprises a smaller area within the Downtown Core itself, taking up the south-western and western portions of the planning area. It is made up of eight subzones, Anson, Cecil, Clifford Pier, Maxwell, Phillip, Raffles Place and Tanjong Pagar and Marina Centre. The core of the CBD has since extended well beyond its boundaries and the term is even often at times used to refer to the Central Area as a whole.
