Ashtead Park is a 24.2-hectare (60-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Ashtead in Surrey. It is owned by Mole Valley District Council. It contains several important listed buildings. The Park itself has remains of a Roman building, four lakes/ponds and the school's playing fields and is Grade II listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Ashtead is a large village in the Mole Valley district of Surrey, England, approximately 15.5 mi (25 km) south of central London. Primarily a commuter settlement, Ashtead is on the single-carriageway A24 between Epsom and Leatherhead. The village is on the northern slopes of the North Downs and is in the catchment area of The Rye, a tributary of the River Mole. The earliest archaeological evidence for human activity in the village is from the Stone Age. At several points in its history, including during the early Roman period, Ashtead has been a centre for brick and tile manufacture. From medieval times until the late 19th century, Ashtead was primarily an agricultural settlement. Residential development was catalysed by the opening of the railway line between Epsom and Leatherhead in 1859 and by the breakup of the Ashtead Park estate in the 1880s. Housebuilding continued into the 20th century, reaching a peak in the 1930s. Future expansion is now constrained by the Metropolitan Green Belt, which encircles the village. There are two nature reserves in the village: Ashtead Common, to the north west of the centre, forms part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is owned by the Corporation of London; Ashtead Park, to the east of the centre is a Local Nature Reserve owned by the District Council.

Epsom was a rural district of Surrey from 1894 to 1933. It was created in 1894 and covered the area of the formed Epsom Rural Sanitary District – i.e. the parishes of Ashtead, Banstead, Cheam, Chessington, Cobham, Cuddington, Ewell, Fetcham, Great Bookham, Headley, Little Bookham and Stoke d'Abernon. The parish of Woodmansterne was added from the disbanded Croydon Rural District in 1915, whilst Cheam became part of the Sutton and Cheam urban district in 1918. The rural district was abolished in 1933, under the Local Government Act 1929. It was split between the urban districts of Banstead, Carshalton, Dorking, Epsom and Ewell, Esher, Leatherhead, Surbiton and Sutton and Cheam, and Dorking and Horley Rural District.

Woodcote Park is a Grade II* listed stately home and estate of about 350 acres (1.4 km2; 0.5 sq mi) near Epsom, Surrey, England, currently owned by the Royal Automobile Club. It was formerly the seat of a number of prominent English families, including the Calvert family, Barons Baltimore and Lords Proprietor of the colony of Maryland. The interior of the house once boasted a gilded library and number of fine murals by notable Italian artists including Antonio Verrio, but most of the historic rooms were removed by the RAC, which had purchased the estate in 1913, and what remained was destroyed by fire in 1934. The present appearance of the house dates from its restoration in 1936. However, the interior of one of the original drawing rooms still survives in the Museum of Fine Arts at Boston, Massachusetts. The estate was used by the military as a convalescent hospital in the First World War and as a training camp in both world wars.

Epsom Down in the southern town outlands of Epsom was used as a venue for two first-class cricket matches between 1816 and 1819. Both were between the local Epsom Cricket Club and the Hampshire county team. The approximate site is Epsom Downs Racecourse.

Epsom Common is a 177.4-hectare (438-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Epsom in Surrey. It is owned and managed by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council. It is part of Epsom and Ashtead Commons, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.This is a nationally important wildlife location because it is a breeding site for birds. Moreover, insects endemic to the area depend on the dead wood on location. Other fauna include roe deer, herons and purple emperor butterflies. Additionally, there are flora such as common spotted orchids and southern marsh orchids.The Thames Down Link long distance footpath from Kingston upon Thames to Box Hill & Westhumble station runs through the common.

Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Headley Court (abbreviated to DMRC Headley Court, and more commonly known as Headley Court), formerly RAF Headley Court, was an 85-acre (34 ha) United Kingdom Ministry of Defence facility in Headley, near Epsom, Surrey, England. The site was sold by the MoD in 2018, upon purchase of Stanford Hall, and its conversion to the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre. It was used as a rehabilitation centre for injured members of the British Armed Forces between 1985 and 2018.

Langley Vale is a village in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell, in Surrey, England, approximately 15 miles (24 km) south of central London. As its name suggests, the village is in a dry valley between Epsom Downs and Walton Downs. Historically part of the Ashtead Park estate, Langley Vale was the location of a farm in Medieval times. The modern village began to develop in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The nearest settlements are Burgh Heath to the east, Tadworth to the south-east, Headley to the south, Ashtead to the west and the Woodcote part of Epsom to the north. Epsom Downs Racecourse is 1 mile to the northeast and Woodcote Park, a stately home owned by the Royal Automobile Club, is 1 mile to the west.

Epsom Hospital is a teaching hospital in Epsom, Surrey, England. The hospital is situated on Dorking Road 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) south east of the centre of Epsom. It is managed by the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust along with the nearby St Helier Hospital.
