The Glyndon Hotel is a historic hotel in Richmond, Kentucky, United States.

Madison-Model High School was a secondary school located in Richmond, Kentucky. From 1936 to 1961, a unique relationship was formed with Eastern Kentucky State College's Model Laboratory School and Richmond, Kentucky's public high school, Madison. This was accomplished through the efforts of then Eastern president Herman L. Donovan and Richmond City Schools superintendent William F. O'Donnell. The two divisions were combined to enrich their programs and to avoid a duplication of efforts. They were accredited jointly by the Southern Association of Secondary Schools as Madison-Model High School. They retained their respective organizations, but combined such activities as commencement, athletics, and music. Enrollment of both high schools (combined) averaged between 400 and 500 students. The joint relationship was terminated after the 1960−61 school year. Over its 25-year existence, Madison-Model competed in athletics as a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. Its baseball teams were twice state runner-up (1945, 1946) and its basketball teams competed in the state tournament four times (1939, 1944, 1945 and 1947) as the 11th Region champion. Its football teams were coached by Roy Kidd from 1956 to 1960. Kidd went 41−10−1 over that five-year span. Model Laboratory still exists today. Madison High School was consolidated with Madison Central High School after the 1988−89 school year and its physical plant (on north 2nd St.) is now occupied by Madison Middle School.

Madison High School (1921–1989) was a public high school in Richmond, Kentucky (Madison County, Kentucky). The school's enrollment (grades 9–12) never exceeded 400 and it never graduated a class of more than 85 students in its 68-year existence. The official name of the school was Madison High and Elementary School.

Madison Central High School is a public high school located in Richmond, Kentucky, United States. The school had an enrollment of 2,226 in the 2022–2023 year. Madison Central has a variety of nicknames amongst the student body and overall, The Commonwealth of Kentucky, having their school nicknames being Mad Cent, Mad Central, MadiCentral, "The cousin up North (usually for students attending Madison Southern)" and Central. Madison Central also has the mistaken alias of "Madison Southern", usually at sporting events where the school is judged, like in Cheerleading or Marching Band.

The Weaver Gymnasium, formally known as the Weaver Health Building, is an on-campus gymnasium on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. It was opened in 1931 and was named for Charles F. Weaver who served for twelve years on EKU's Board of Regents and established two of the first financial awards at EKU. The building, which houses a pool, gymnasium and dance studios, was the third home of the Eastern Kentucky Colonels men's basketball team, replacing a building known as "The Barn." During their time in Weaver, the Maroons (as they were known until 1966) had a record of 225–51 overall and reached the NAIA Men's Basketball Championships twice, in 1945 and 1946, and the 1953 and 1959 NCAA tournament, as well as winning two regular season Ohio Valley Conference titles (1953, 1959 and co-champions in 1961) and two conference tournaments (1950 and 1955). The last Maroons game held in Weaver was a 96–78 loss to the Louisville Cardinals. The building was replaced in 1963 with the Alumni Coliseum, with a revenge win against the same Cardinals. The building now serves as a site for campus fitness and recreation.

Alumni Coliseum and Baptist Health Arena are home to the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels in Richmond, Kentucky.

The Madison County Courthouse is a historic courthouse in Richmond, Kentucky, United States, which serves as the seat of government for Madison County. It is a Greek Revival structure originally built in 1849–1850 by John McMurtry according to the designs of Thomas Lewinski, the two of whom were some of the most prominent architects in central Kentucky during the nineteenth century. It has been expanded and remodeled several times since, most recently in 1965. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Turkey Hughes Field at Earle Combs Stadium is a baseball stadium in Richmond, Kentucky, United States. It is home to the Eastern Kentucky Colonels baseball team of the NCAA Division I Atlantic Sun Conference. The stadium opened in the 1966 and renovated in 2017, when it was renamed for EKU alumnus and former New York Yankee Earle Combs. Formerly, it was known simply as Turkey Hughes Field in honor of former Eastern Kentucky baseball coach Turkey Hughes. In 2006, EKU's athletic department announced plans to completely rebuild the stadium with a $2 million initiative. In 2009, the university spent over $500,000 to install artificial turf, a batter's eye, and a brick backstop. Major renovations were made and completed in 2016.

Model Laboratory School is the only remaining laboratory school in the state of Kentucky. It is located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University, in Richmond, Kentucky, United States. Model Laboratory School is home to around 720 students in grades K through 12. Enrollment is open to the public, and families of prospective students may submit an application to attend. Model High School was identified as a U.S. News 2019 Best High School and one of seven 5 star schools according to the Kentucky Department of Education. which also features a 98% graduation rate with graduating classes racking up millions in college scholarships every year.

Richmond High School (1900–1973), was a segregated public high school for African-American students in Richmond, Kentucky (Madison County, Kentucky). The school offered classes for grades 9-12 and enrollment never exceeded 150. It never graduated a class of more than 50 students in its existence. The official name of the school was Richmond High and Elementary School. In 1956, Richmond High was integrated into the city high school for white students (Madison) as the Richmond City Board of Education carried out the Supreme Court's Brown decision. A gradual integration program was initiated that year as sophomores, juniors and seniors from Richmond High were enrolled at Madison High. By 1960, freshmen were admitted as well. Richmond Junior High and Elementary remained open through the 1972–73 school year. It was then closed and was soon occupied by Richmond's Telford Community Center, and later the Telford YMCA Community Center.

CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium is Eastern Kentucky University's football stadium in Richmond, Kentucky. The stadium is home to the EKU Colonels football team, located on campus. Currently, CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium consists of upper and lower-level seating areas, with a predominant majority of the seats being metal bleachers. Reserved chairback seats can be found in the middle of the lower level, as well, the seats are generally purchased by season ticket holders and Eastern Alumni. The Colonels football team has found success playing at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium, possessing a 191-43-1 home record.
