Airthrey Castle is a historic building and estate which now forms part of the buildings and grounds of the University of Stirling in central Scotland. The 18th-century building with 19th-century additions occupies a beautiful setting in landscaped grounds in the southern edge of the Ochil Hills, above the Forth valley. It is located close to Bridge of Allan, two miles from the historic city of Stirling.

The University of Stirling (Scots: University o Stirlin, Scottish Gaelic: Oilthigh Shruighlea (abbreviated as Stir or Shruiglea, in post-nominals) is a public university in Stirling, Scotland, founded by royal charter in 1967. It is located in the Central Belt of Scotland, built within the walled Airthrey Castle estate. The university campus is approximately 360 acres (1.5 km2) in size, incorporating the Stirling University Innovation Park and the Dementia Centre. The campus is located in the foothills of the Ochil Hills. In 2002, the University of Stirling and the landscape of the Airthrey Estate was designated by the International Council on Monuments and Sites as one of the UK's top 20 heritage sites of the 20th century.As of 2022, the university has 14,000 part-time and full-time students. Stirling has international degree programme partnerships in China with Hebei Normal University, Singapore with Singapore Institute of Management, and Oman. The university offers a MSc in Human Rights & Diplomacy, which is the only Human Rights and Diplomacy programme in the world taught in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.

Air3 Radio is the student radio station of the University of Stirling. Air3 Radio broadcasts a full schedule during normal semester dates (September - December and February - May) and a limited number of shows within holiday and exam periods. The station currently has shows running from 07:00 - 03:00, 7 days a week.

The Abbey Craig is the hill upon which the Wallace Monument stands, at Causewayhead, just to the north of Stirling, Scotland.

Macrobert Arts Centre is a multi-arts venue located on the main campus of the University of Stirling, Scotland. The Arts Centre offers a varied programme of events and experiences – cinema, comedy, dance, exhibitions, family, get involved, music, opera and theatre – catering for audiences from across Stirling, the Forth Valley and beyond. It was originally opened in 1971 as Scotland's first purpose-built arts centre, the brainchild of the university's first principal, Tom Cottrell FRSE, who wanted appreciation of the arts to be at the heart of the university's cultural ethos. In October 2002 the Arts Centre re-opened following a period of refurbishment by Appleton Architects and Buro Happold. Macrobert Arts Centre is a registered charity under Scottish law. It receives key funding from Creative Scotland and the University of Stirling, while raising 70% of its required funds through ticket sales and donations, grants and sponsorship.

Blairlogie is a village in the Stirling council area of Scotland, situated at the base of the great southern rock-face of Dumyat between Stirling and Menstrie. Blairlogie, formerly Blair, forms part of Logie parish, formerly in Perthshire, and the ancient Logie Kirk lies to the west. It comprises mainly 17th-19th century cottages and was one of central Scotland's earliest Conservation areas, designated in 1969.At the foot of Castle Law (and giving its name to the hill) stands Blairlogie Castle (also known as "The Blair"), built in 1543 by Alexander Spittal. The castle and surrounding estate was purchased by Lt Col Hare of Calder Hall in 1891 who modernised it.An abandoned copper mine lies to the east of the village. Between 1598 and 1609, the minister of Logie Kirk was the poet Alexander Hume.In 1940 the actor and conservationist, Moultrie Kelsall, restored an eighteenth century building, Kirklea Cottage as a family home. This early conservation project is discussed in 'A future for the past' published jointly with Stuart Harris in 1961. Kelsall also was instrumental in saving nearby Menstrie Castle and his son Robin wrote of his youth in the village.The Scottish International rugby player Kenny Logan used to live in the village and several of his relatives live in the area.

The National Wallace Monument (generally known as the Wallace Monument) is a 67 m (220 ft) tower on the shoulder of the Abbey Craig, a hilltop overlooking Stirling in Scotland. It commemorates Sir William Wallace, a 13th- and 14th-century Scottish hero. The tower is open to the public for an admission fee. Visitors approach by foot from the base of the crag on which it stands. On entry there are 246 steps to the final observation platform, with three exhibition rooms within the body of the tower. The tower is not accessible to disabled visitors.

The Scottish Political Archive (SPA) is located within the University of Stirling and was founded in 2010. The archive is made up of several collections that focus on the political history of Scotland in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Stirling University Womens Football Club is a women's football club that play in the Scottish Women's Premier League, the top division of women's football in Scotland.

Wallace High School is a non-denominational state secondary school in Causewayhead, Stirling. The school was founded in 1971 to serve Bridge of Allan, Castleview, Cornton, Fallin, Raploch and Riverside areas of north-eastern Stirling.

Causewayhead railway station served the suburb of Causewayhead in Stirling, Scotland, from 1852 to 1955 on the Stirling and Dunfermline Railway.

New Williamfield No. 1 Oval is a cricket ground in Stirling, Scotland. The ground is owned and used by Stirling County Cricket Club.The first recorded match held on the ground came in 2007 when Stirling County played West Lothian. The ground was neutral host to a Women's One Day International in 2010 when Ireland Women played the Netherlands Women.In June 2014, Stirling will become the home of Scottish cricket after an agreement between Stirling County Cricket Club, Cricket Scotland and Stirling Council. It is hoped that the redevelopment of the ground will start at end 2014 with the intention being to upgrade it to international match standards. Scotland will play the majority of their home international games at the ground, starting with the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers. The tournament is from 9 to 26 July across eight Ireland and Scotland venues.The development will see a new pavilion and indoor training facility built at New Williamfield, the home of Stirling County Cricket Club, with Cricket Scotland relocating its headquarters from the National Cricket Academy at Ravelston, Edinburgh.
