The Penang Masonic Temple is an historic Masonic building located at 136 Jalan Utama (Western Road), corner of Jalan Brown (Brown Road), in the former city of George Town on Penang Island in the state of Penang, Malaysia. In 1924, The Royal Prince of Wales Lodge No. 1555, United Grand Lodge of England, and Lodge Scotia No. 1003, Grand Lodge of Scotland, each of which had its own meeting hall, agreed to build the Penang Masonic Temple at its current site to serve their own needs as well as those of other Masonic bodies in the area. A limited company was formed, with each lodge controlling half, to buy the property, construct the building and own and maintain it thereafter. The land was acquired in 1926 and the foundation was laid on 17 December 1927 Designed by architect Howard Leicester in the Art Deco style of architecture, the building was built by contractor Lee Ghee Sok. Today it is considered a heritage site and its white exterior is painted white with some of its Art Deco details are painted blue. It is still used by the founding lodges for their meetings and is also utilised by 7 other Masonic bodies of either English or Scottish jurisdiction, which pay rent for its use.

Penang Adventist Hospital (Malay: Hospital Adventist, Chinese: 槟安医院) is a non-profit hospital in George Town within the Malaysian state of Penang. Established in 1924, the 200-bed medical institution is part of an international network of hospitals operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The hospital is well known in the community for its promotion of a healthy vegetarian diet and charity work to assist needy patients, particularly heart patients.It has links with other hospitals in the Adventist health network, mainly Loma Linda University Medical Center and AdventHealth Orlando in the United States. It owns Adventist College of Nursing and Health Sciences (ACNHS), a government-approved nursing school adjacent to the hospital.

It was established by and closely associated with Penang Adventist Hospital and forms part of a network of Seventh-day Adventist owned institutions of higher education. The City Park, also colloquially known as the Youth Park, is an urban park in the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Located near the Penang Botanic Gardens, the City Park was opened in 1972 as a recreational area and a green lung for the city's residents.True to its name, the City Park contains various recreational amenities, such as playgrounds, a skating rink, swimming pools, a graffiti corner, reflexology paths and an outdoor auditorium, all of which are open to the public. The park is maintained by the Penang Island City Council.

Often referred to as "Bīn huá" (Chinese: 檳華; pinyin: Bīn huá; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Pin-hôa) among the local Chinese community in Penang. The school provides continuous education, ranging from pre-primary or kindergarten to pre-university studies. PCGHS is now an academy that is widely known across the globe.

DISTED College is a private college within George Town, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Penang. It was established in 1987 as the first Penang-based private tertiary institution. The college provides various pre-university, diploma and degree courses, some of which are twinned with foreign universities.The DISTED Heritage campus is on Macalister Road in close vicinity to downtown George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum features more than 2,000 artefacts related to Malaysian Indian that have been preserved since the 1930s.

St. George's Girls' School is an all-girls secondary school in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. Originally established in 1885, it is notable for its academic achievements and notable alumnae from different racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, leading to its inclusion in the Malaysian Ministry of Education's Cluster School and High Performance School systems. Penang Sports Club is a private members sports club and cricket ground, established in the year 1936. It is located in the city of Georgetown covering a land area of about 16 acres (65,000 m2). The ground has hosted cricket matches for Malaya and then Malaysia.

Church of the Immaculate Conception (Malay: Gereja Kandungan Suci, Tamil: அமலோற்பவ அன்னை தேவாலயம்) is a church and parish located in Pulau Tikus, George Town, Penang, Malaysia. The church was founded in 1811 and is the second oldest church in the diocese after Church of the Assumption.

The Seri Teratai is the official residence of Penang's head of government, the Chief Minister of Penang. It is located in the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. The colonial-era double storey mansion was constructed in the early 20th century.Despite the building's status as the official residence of Penang's head of government, the building has been left unoccupied since 2009 due to its dilapidated condition. This changed in 2019 when Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow moved into the premises on July after assuming office following the historic 14th General Election in 2018.
