Douglas and Angus (commonly referred to as Douglas) is an area of Eastern Dundee, Scotland. It is located between Whitfield to the North and Broughty Ferry to the East. In the eastern part of Douglas is the distinctive Michelin Tyre factory which was the first factory in the U.K. to produce tyres by using energy from wind power. The two tall wind turbines on the factory site can be seen from many places around Dundee and the surrounding area.

Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Station is located at the bottom of Fort Street, in the town of Broughty Ferry, a suburb of Dundee on the north shore of the River Tay estuary, in the historic county of Angus, Scotland. A lifeboat was first placed here by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station in 1862. The station currently operates the All-weather Trent-class lifeboat, 14-31 Elizabeth of Glamis (ON 1252), on station since 2001, and the D-class (IB1) Inshore lifeboat Oor Lifesaver (D-834), on station since 2019.

It is sited 3 miles 38 chains (5.6 km) from the former Dundee East station, on the Dundee to Aberdeen line, between Dundee and Balmossie.It is the oldest railway station in Scotland which is still in operation.

Forthill is a cricket ground in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland. It has been used for cricket since, at the latest, 1884, when Forfarshire played Aberdeenshire there. Scotland first used the ground in 1913 when they played Northamptonshire.The ground staged six first-class matches between 1924 and 1999. The first was in 1924 when Scotland played Ireland. The touring Indians played Scotland in a first-class match there in 1932. Almost twenty years elapsed before first-class cricket returned to Forthill, with Scotland playing Worcestershire in 1951. The ground later played host to the touring New Zealanders in 1978 and Ireland in 1992, before hosting its final first-class match when Scotland played the South Africa Academy. During the twentieth century the ground also hosted several other touring teams in non-first-class matches.Forthill is still the home ground of Forfarshire Cricket Club.

Ballumbie is a residential area on the north-east edge of Dundee, Scotland. Broughty Ferry (; Scottish Gaelic: Bruach Tatha; Scots: Brochtie) is a suburb of Dundee, Scotland. It is situated four miles east of the city centre on the north bank of the Firth of Tay. The area was a separate burgh from 1864 until 1913, when it was incorporated into Dundee. Historically it is within the County of Angus. Formerly a prosperous fishing and whaling village, in the 19th century Broughty Ferry became a haven for wealthy jute barons, who built their luxury villas in the suburb. As a result, Broughty Ferry was referred to at the time as the "richest square mile in Europe". It is administered as part of the Dundee City council area. At a national level, it is represented by both the UK Parliamentary constituency of Dundee East and the Scottish Parliamentary constituency of Dundee City East. Several road and rail routes are located within the area; Broughty Ferry railway station is situated in the centre of the suburb, and the A930 road skirts its main retail area. Broughty Ferry is also linked by several bus routes to its neighbouring suburbs and to central Dundee.
