Schloss Pyrmont

Bad Pyrmont (German: [baːt pʏʁˈmɔnt] , also: [- ˈpʏʁ-]; West Low German: Bad Purmunt) is a town in the district of Hamelin-Pyrmont, in Lower Saxony, Germany, with a population close to 19,000. It is located on the river Emmer, about 10 km (6.2 mi) west of the Weser. Bad Pyrmont is a popular spa resort that gained its reputation as a fashionable place for princely vacations in the 17th and 18th centuries. The town is also the center of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Germany.

Lügde [ˈlʏçtʰə] is a town in the Lippe district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with c. 9,800 inhabitants (2013). The first written issue of Lügde appears in 784, in the annals of the Frankish Empire, when Charlemagne visited the village during the Saxon Wars. During these wars Charlemagne celebrated his first Christmas in Saxony in Lügde, and the site then became the location of the first church to be built in Saxony. The gothic church, dedicated to Saint Kilian, was rebuilt in the 12th century and is still standing today. The church is known as the Kilians-Kirche. In 2019 Lügde made the national news as the site of a series of child rapes on a campground; investigators estimate 1000 deeds over the course of 10 years.

Aerzen is a municipality in the Hamelin-Pyrmont district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated 10 kilometres (6 mi) southwest of Hamelin, and 7 kilometres (4 mi) north of Bad Pyrmont.

It consists of 8 communes, which have been combined to a town in 1970. The names of the communes are Schieder, Brakelsiek, Schwalenberg, Lothe, Ruensiek, Wöbbel, Siekholz and Kreienberg, the district Schieder together with Glashütte is a Kneipp health resort. Together they have c. 8,400 residents (2020).

Diestelbach is a river in the district of Lippe in the eastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Also known as the Diestel, it is a tributary of the Emmer.

The Köterberg, at 495.8 m (1,627 ft) above sea level, is the highest hill in the Lippe Uplands and lies on the state border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony in North Germany. On its northern slopes is the village of Köterberg.
