The Hague Center

Vrije Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten (Free Academy of Visual Art) was an art school in The Hague, Netherlands. It was founded in 1947 by Livinus van de Bundt. The last remaining part of the school, GEMAK, closed on December 4, 2015, after a 75% cut in its funding from the city of The Hague. The final product of the school was the publication Exit GEMAK: All Art is Political | Kunst = Politiek.

The Aqsa Mosque (Dutch: Aksamoskee) is a mosque in the Dutch city of The Hague. It was originally built as a synagogue. The neoclassical building on the Wagenstraat opened in 1844, serving the Ashkenazi Jews of the city. It was expanded in 1922 and damaged by fire in 1944. Around 80% of the city's Jews were killed in the Holocaust, while their synagogues were plundered.In 1976, the Jewish community sold the building to the city on condition that it never be converted into a church. The city's Turkish Muslim community began using it without permission during Ramadan 1979 due to safety concerns over their previous mosque. The Turkish community took legal ownership of the building in 1981. The Jewish community moved into a converted former Protestant church, which has since been mostly repurposed as apartments.The building is a Rijksmonument with the number 459778, inscribed 19 October 1993.

The Hague's Chinatown is located in the city centre, on the Wagenstraat. The entrances of the neighbourhood are marked with two Chinese gates, described as "three meters high with sculptured dragons winding around the pillars and overhead ornate panels of red, gold and blue." Chinatown borders the Spui in the north east, the Bierkade in the south east, the Pavilioensgracht in the south west, and the Gedempte Burgwal in the north west. Important streets in the area include the Wagenstraat (車仔街) and the Sint Jacobsstraat (聖雅各街). The area was originally a Jewish quarter. After the Second World War, the neighbourhood grew vacant and impoverished. After a revamp by the municipality in the 1970s, the area became increasingly inhabited by Chinese people. Today, the city government of The Hague actively promotes diversity when compared to another Dutch city of Amsterdam and has claimed that "ethnic tourism" has risen in the city. Another source claims that The Hague's Chinatown is "... an attempt to draw together the Dutch and Chinese identities at work in the area."

Grote Markt is a RandstadRail station in central The Hague, Netherlands. It opened on 16 October 2004 as part of The Hague's new tram tunnel. The station is near by the Grote Marktstraat where's the main shopping centre from The Hague.

The Nieuwe Kerk (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈniʋə ˈkɛr(ə)k]; English: New Church) is a Dutch Baroque Protestant church in The Hague, located across from the modern city hall on the Spui. It was built in 1649 after the Great Church had become too small. Construction was completed in 1656.

Adrianus Jacobus Zuyderland was Vincent van Gogh's favorite model during his Hague period. He appears in dozens of drawings, easily identified by his bald head and prominent white whiskers, and he was the model for the drawing which was the basis for van Gogh's later iconic painting At Eternity's Gate.

Spui is a RandstadRail station in central The Hague, Netherlands. It opened on 16 October 2004 as part of the city's new tram tunnel. RandstadRail lines 3 and 4, and tram lines 2 en 6 stop here. This station is not to be confused with the Spui/Stadhuis station.

Paard van Troje (Dutch for Trojan Horse), since 2016 known as PAARD, is a venue in The Hague, Netherlands founded in 1972 18 June with the support of the alderman of culture from The Hague. Currently located at the Prinsegracht.

Design Museum Dedel is a museum located in The Hague. The museum hosts thematic exhibitions of two-dimensional design, including graphic design, posters, wallpaper - and has included posters from the collection of the former Poster Museum in Hoorn and objects (including posters) from the collection of the ReclameArsenaal. The museum was opened on July 1, 2019 by Mrs. Hedy d'Ancona with an exhibition dedicated to the work of two designers, Milton Glaser and Wim Crouwel, both of whom were 90 years old at the time. In the fall of 2019, the exhibition 'KLM, the first century' with accompanying publication about KLM followedFollowing the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum reopened in 2022. The museum works is privately funded and works with a staff of volunteers.
