Lütschental

Lütschental railway station (German: Bahnhof Lütschental) is a railway station in the village and municipality of Lutschental in the Swiss canton of Bern. The station is on the Berner Oberland Bahn, whose trains operate services to Interlaken Ost and Grindelwald.

The Männlichen is a 2,343-metre (7,687 ft) mountain in the Swiss Alps located within the Canton of Berne. It can be reached from Wengen by the Wengen–Männlichen aerial cableway, or from the new (December 2019) Grindelwald Terminal station using the Grindelwald–Männlichen gondola cableway (GM). It then takes 15 minutes to walk to the summit. It is a popular viewpoint over the Lauterbrunnen valley and a popular start location for hikers and skiers.

The Wengen–Männlichen aerial cableway (German: Luftseilbahn Wengen-Männlichen) is a cable car linking Wengen with the Männlichen in Switzerland. It is owned and operated by the Luftseilbahn Wengen–Männlichen AG.

Burglauenen railway station (German: Bahnhof Burglauenen) is a railway station in the municipality of Grindelwald in the Swiss canton of Bern. The station is on the Berner Oberland Bahn, whose trains operate services to Interlaken Ost and Grindelwald. It takes its name from the nearby settlement of Burglauenen.

The Jungfrau Region (German: Jungfrauregion) is a region of the Bernese Oberland, at the foot of the Bernese Alps. It consists of two valleys south of Interlaken: that of Grindelwald and that of Lauterbrunnen, both drained by the Lütschine. The Jungfrau Region is named after the highest mountain in the area: the Jungfrau. It is also notably dominated by the Eiger and Mönch. It is a major tourist destination in Switzerland and the Alps, renowned for its mountains and lakes (in particular Lake Thun and Lake Brienz). Both valleys are served by several railways: the Bernese Oberland Railway, the Wengernalp Railway and the Jungfrau Railway. The region also includes numerous cable transports and other facilities.

The Tschuggen is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, overlooking Wengen in the Bernese Oberland. It has an elevation of 2,521 metres above sea level and it is the highest summit of the group lying north of the Kleine Scheidegg.

The Loucherhorn is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, overlooking Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland. It is located east of the Schynige Platte.

Wengen is a railway station in the car free resort of Wengen in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. The station is on the Wengernalpbahn (WAB), whose trains operate from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg via Wengen. Administratively, the station is in the municipality of Lauterbrunnen in the canton of Bern.

The Lauberhorn is a mountain in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland, located between Wengen and Grindelwald, north of the Kleine Scheidegg. Its summit is at an elevation of 2,472 m (8,110 ft) above sea level.

Schynige Platte is a railway station that is the upper terminus of the Schynige Platte railway, a rack railway that connects Wilderswil with the Schynige Platte mountain in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. The Schynige Platte Alpine Garden (German: Alpengarten Schynige Platte) is a botanical garden located at an altitude of about 2,000 metres (7,000 ft), near the summit of the Schynige Platte mountain in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. It specialises in research into the high altitude flora of Switzerland, and has a display of over 600 species of plants native to the Swiss Alps. The garden is run by the Schynige Platte Alpine Garden Society, working closely with the Botanical Garden of Bern and the Institute for Plant Sciences at the University of Bern.The garden was created in 1928, when an area of over 8,000 square metres (86,000 sq ft) was fenced off, ending centuries of use as alpine pasture, and it was opened to the public the following year. Since 1932, an alpine-botanical course has been held at the gardens, under the direction of the Institute of Plant Sciences at the University of Bern.The garden is accessed directly from the platform of the Schynige Platte station of the Schynige Platte railway, which runs from Wilderswil, where connection is made with Bernese Oberland railway trains from Interlaken. Both garden and railway are open from late May to late October, and admission charges are included in the train ticket. A shop run by the garden society at the entrance sells guides to the garden and other related merchandise, and an adjacent exhibition contains information on the geology, botany and zoology of the Schynige Platte.Administratively, the garden is in the municipality of Gündlischwand in the canton of Bern.

Wengwald is a request stop railway station in the municipality of Lauterbrunnen in the Swiss canton of Bern. The station is on the Wengernalpbahn (WAB), whose trains operate from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg via Wengen.The station is located on the new line from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen, which opened in 1910 to replace the more direct but steeper original routing.
