Kiddieland Amusement Park

Maywood Park was a horse racing venue located in Melrose Park, Illinois, United States, about 12 miles from downtown Chicago. It was used for harness racing. It had a capacity of 33,297 people and was built in 1946. The track was a half-mile oval. The track closed in 2015. The track, which had been in unincorporated Cook County, was located in Melrose Park. Demolition began in early 2019; the structures are to be replaced by an industrial and warehouse development. It was replaced by an Amazon distribution center in 2020.

The Cernan Earth and Space Center is a public planetarium on the campus of Triton College in the Chicago suburb of River Grove. It is named for astronaut Eugene Cernan (1934-2017), who flew aboard the Gemini 9 and Apollo 10 missions and, as commander of Apollo 17, was the last astronaut to leave his footprints on the Moon. The Cernan Center's 93-seat 44-foot-diameter (13 m) dome theater housing a Konica-Minolta Super MediaGlobe II fulldome digital projector, a Voyager V-17OWC laser projection system, and numerous auxiliary projectors. Using this equipment, the Cernan Center presents a wide range of programs to persons of all ages who attend its special school and group presentations and weekend public programs. One Saturday night each month, the Cernan Center offers a Monthly Skywatch program that presents the latest news and discoveries in the fields of astronomy, space science, and geoscience. The Cernan Center also features Earth- and space-related exhibits, the Friends of the Cernan Center membership program, and the Star Store gift shop.

The Robinson House is a historic house located at 602 N. 3rd Ave. in Maywood, Illinois, United States. The square-shaped house is designed in a vernacular cottage style and features a gable roof, wooden shingled Gothic arches on all sides, and a front porch with a hipped roof. While the house's date of construction is unknown, it is likely 1901, when owner James Munton took out a mortgage on the property. The house is named for longtime occupants the Robinson family, who bought the house in 1908 and remained there until shortly before 1992.The Robinson House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 1992.

The Richard Cluever House is a historic house at 601 1st Avenue in Maywood, Illinois. Built in 1913–14, the house was designed by noted Prairie School architect John S. Van Bergen. Van Bergen worked for Frank Lloyd Wright before starting his own practice, and like many of his early designs, the Cluever House closely resembles Wright's work. The house features many verandas and balconies and rows of casement windows, providing views of the nearby Des Plaines River. Landscape architect Jens Jensen designed the house's surroundings, which include a garden between the house and the river.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 17, 1977.

It has an American Foursquare design, a utilitarian style which was popular in the early twentieth century. The 2+1⁄2-story house has a rectangular form with a front porch supported by four columns and a hip roof with a central dormer, a typical layout for a Foursquare home. The design also includes Neoclassical details such as the Doric capitals on the porch's columns; these were common in Chicago-area architecture after the 1893 Columbian Exposition popularized the style.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 1992.

The William and Caroline Gibbs House is a historic house at 515 N. 3rd Avenue in Maywood, Illinois. The American Foursquare house was built in 1907. The house has a standard Foursquare layout with a square shape, a pyramidal roof with dormers, and a front porch. In keeping with its style, its interior has a functional layout with a central staircase, an easily accessible kitchen, and built-in furniture. As was common in Foursquare homes, the house has simple geometric detailing inspired by the Craftsman movement, such as wood trim, leadlight windows, and square columns.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 1992.

It has an American Foursquare design, a utilitarian style popular in the early twentieth century, with Arts and Crafts and Neoclassical ornamentation. The house has a typical Foursquare plan with a rectangular layout, a front porch supported by three columns, and a hip roof with a dormer. Its decorative features include Ionic styling on the porch columns, dentillation and brackets on the porch roof, additional bracketing along its eaves, and multiple stained glass windows.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 1992.

It has an American Foursquare design, a simplified style popular in the early twentieth century, with Prairie School elements. The 2+1⁄2-story house has a typical Foursquare layout, with a rectangular shape, a front porch supported by wide piers, a glazed porch on one side, and a hip roof with a front-facing dormer. The horizontal emphasis of the design is typical of the Prairie School, as are its bands of windows, wood trim, overhanging eaves, and built-in furniture.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 1992.
