The Hoo is an Neoclassical country house in Willingdon, in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. It was designed by Edwin Lutyens in 1902 for Alexander Wedderburn, a wealthy lawyer. Considered one of Lutyens' best houses, it is a Grade I listed building. The gardens, which had input from Gertrude Jekyll, are designated at Grade II* on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.

Gildredge House Free School is a mixed free school located in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. It opened in 2013 and caters for students aged 4–19 years. It is located on a former National Health Service site, which was vacated in 2012.The school opened its sixth form in 2015 and is one of only a handful A Level providers in the town. At A Level students can study a variety of subjects from each faculty. Within mathematics and economics students can study mathematics, further mathematics and economics. Within science they can study biology, chemistry and physics. Within languages they can study Spanish, German, French and classical civilisation. Willingdon and Jevington is one of the civil parishes in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The two villages lie one mile (1.6 km) south of Polegate. Willingdon is part of the built-up area which is Eastbourne, and lies on the main A22 road, whilst Jevington is on a minor road leading to Friston. The civil parish was formed on 1 April 1999 from "Jevington" and "Willingdon" parishes. In addition under the name of Willingdon it is also an electoral ward.

St Mary's Church (dedicated to St Mary the Virgin) is the Anglican parish church of the Hampden Park suburb of Eastbourne, a town and borough in the English county of East Sussex. Originally linked to the church at nearby Willingdon, it later became a separate parish church. The first building was destroyed by a bomb during World War II, and Edward Maufe was commissioned to design a replacement church; the hilltop building, finished in 1954, has been called "one of his most charming designs". English Heritage has listed it at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.

The Eastbourne Academy (shortened to TEA) is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Eastbourne in the English county of East Sussex.Previously known as Eastbourne Technology College, the school converted to academy status in September 2010. It was previously a community school administered by East Sussex County Council. The school continues to coordinate with East Sussex County Council for admissions. The Eastbourne Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils.
