Nieder- and Oberurnen railway station (German: Bahnhof Nieder- und Oberurnen) is a railway station in the municipality of Glarus Nord in the Swiss canton of Glarus. It is an intermediate stop on the Ziegelbrücke–Linthal line of Swiss Federal Railways, and serves the twin villages of Niederurnen and Oberurnen. The station is served by the St. Gallen S-Bahn service S6 between Rapperswil and Schwanden, which operates hourly.

St. Hilarius Parish Church of Näfels (German: Pfarrkirche St. Hilarius) is a Catholic church in Näfels, Glarus Nord, Glarus Canton, Switzerland. It is listed as a Cultural Property of National Significance.

The Battle of Näfels was fought on 9 April 1388 between the Swiss canton of Glarus, supported by its allies of the Old Swiss Confederation, and the Duchy of Austria ruled by the House of Habsburg. It was a decisive victory for Glarus and led to its independence from Habsburg rule. The battle was the last of the Swiss-Austrian conflicts that stretched through most of the 14th century.

Näfels-Mollis railway station (German: Bahnhof Näfels-Mollis) is a railway station in the municipality of Glarus Nord in the Swiss canton of Glarus. It is an intermediate stop on the Weesen to Linthal railway line, and serves the twin villages of Näfels and Mollis. The station is served by Zürich S-Bahn service S25 between Zurich and Linthal, and by St. Gallen S-Bahn service S6 between Rapperswil and Schwanden. Both services operate once per hour, combining to provide two trains per hour between Ziegelbrücke and Schwanden.

Schänis railway station (German: Bahnhof Schänis) is a railway station in the municipality of Schänis in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. It is on the Rapperswil to Ziegelbrücke line. It is one of two railway stations in the Gemarkung of Schänis, the other being the much larger Ziegelbrücke railway station at the border to Canton Glarus.

Bilten railway station is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Glarus and municipality of Glarus Nord. The station is located on the Lake Zurich left-bank railway line, owned by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), and takes its name from the nearby village of Bilten.

Schänis Abbey (German: Kloster Schänis) was founded in the 9th century. It was situated in the present town of Schänis in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. It was a house of secular canonesses of the nobility (German: adliges Damenstift) and was dissolved in 1811.
