Kilkerran railway station served an area of rural Ayrshire, Scotland from 1860 to 1965 on the Maybole and Girvan Railway.

The first recorded lord of the property which already included a castle, was Gilbert Kennedy, as stated in a 1474 Charter for the nearby Crossraguel Abbey; the estate was later owned by the Kennedy family for centuries.

Dailly (Scottish Gaelic: Dail Mhaol Chiarain) is a village in South Ayrshire, Scotland. It is located on the Water of Girvan, five miles (eight kilometres) south of Maybole, and three miles (five kilometres) east of Old Dailly. "New Dailly", as it was originally known, was laid out in the 1760s as a coal-mining village. In 1849 a fire broke out in Maxwell Colliery, one of the nearby mines, and continued to burn for 50 years. In Dailly there are two castles the locals call the new castle and the old castle they are both derelict.

Maybole Baptist Church is a Baptist church in Maybole, South Ayrshire, Scotland. It arose from a Maybole prayer group started in 1898 that was admitted to the Baptist Union of Scotland in 1901. The church building opened in 1914. It has operated for over a hundred years, one of 164 active Baptist churches in Scotland in the early twenty-first century serving 14,000 members.The church building features red sandstone, a traditional gable with projected front porch and arched doorway. Designed by architect Hugh Campbell (1863-1926) of Glasgow it is a recognized noteworthy building in Maybole and the wider Carrick area of southern Scotland. The church grounds feature minimal space due to a small plot size. Maybole town, within which the church is located, is also noted for distinctive architecture.

Carrick Academy (Scottish Gaelic: Acadamaidh Charraig) is a state-run secondary school, administered by South Ayrshire Council and situated in the Maybole Community Campus in the town of Maybole, South Ayrshire. It serves about 550 pupils, from the town of Maybole and the villages of Dalrymple, Crosshill, Kirkmichael, Straiton, Minishant, Dunure, Dailly, Kirkoswald, Maidens, and surrounding farms. Carrick Academy was last inspected by Education Scotland in March 2015.

Maybole Castle is a 16th-century castle located on High Street in Maybole, South Ayrshire, Scotland. Originally built for the Earls of Cassillis, it is an L-shaped construction with Victorian two-storey extensions. It is associated with a legend of John Faa, in which an earl killed Faa and imprisoned his wife, the Countess of Cassilis, in the castle. The castle became a Category A listed building in 1971. It was added to the Buildings at Risk Register for Scotland in 2009, before receiving funding in the early 21st century for renovations.
