Delta Upsilon Chapter House

The Colonials Club House, also known as the Beta Deuteron Charge House of Theta Delta Chi, is a historic building located in Ames, Iowa, United States. The significance of this building is its role in the development of the city's Fourth Ward. Prior to its construction in 1910, off campus student housing was clustered on the west side of the Iowa State College (now Iowa State University campus. This building opened up the southeast side of the campus, and it became the preferred location for new fraternity and sorority residences. It was also a change in how those residences were designed. Prior fraternity and sorority houses in Ames were frame, vernacular, single-family dwellings. Designed by the Des Moines architectural firm of Proudfoot & Bird, this 2½-brick structure features the Colonial Revival style, which became one of the prominent styles for fraternity and sorority houses associated with the university.The original main block of the building was built for a local fraternity “The Colonials” (or the “Colonial Club”). In 1920 they became a local chapter of the national fraternity Theta Delta Chi, and the building was expanded. Another addition was constructed in 1966. It was designed by the Des Moines architectural firm of Woodburn & O’Neil. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Iowa State University's Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business was established in 1984, and is accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The college consists of five departments offering nine bachelor's degrees and six post graduate degrees.

The Iowa State University Campanile is located on Iowa State's central campus, and is home to the Stanton Memorial Carillon. The campanile is widely seen as one of the major symbols of Iowa State University. It is featured prominently on the university's official ring and the university's mace, and is also the subject of the university's alma mater ("The Bells of Iowa State").

Cranford Apartment Building is a historic building located in the Campustown section of Ames, Iowa, United States. The 4½-story brick structure was completed in 1922 as a residence for single women who were on the faculty at Iowa State College as well as other professional women. Prior to this building's completion, female faculty members often had a difficult time finding a place to live in Ames. Its construction was funded by the Faculty Women's Housing Company. The building was designed by Alda Wilson, who earned a bachelor's degree from Iowa State. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is one of eight colleges of Iowa State University of Science and Technology in Ames, Iowa. The University was founded in 1858 as the Iowa Agricultural College and Model Farm. On July 4, 1959, the school was renamed "Iowa State University of Science and Technology" and the College of Agriculture became one of five colleges (i.e., College of Agriculture, College of Engineering, College of Home Economics, College of Sciences and Humanities, and College of Veterinary Medicine). In 2007, the College of Agriculture was renamed "College of Agriculture and Life Sciences".

The Iowa State University campus contains over 160 buildings, several of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Iowa State University's campus, specifically its Central Campus, has been recognized as one of the nation's most beautiful and was listed as a "medallion site" by the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1999.

Iowa Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon is a historic building in Ames, Iowa, United States. It is a large four-story brick structure that was built in 1931 for the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Iowa State College (now Iowa State University). It was designed by Des Moines architect Amos B. Emery. It is the only Tudor Revival style building designed by Emory, and only one of two fraternity houses that he designed. The building features ornamental half-timbering and stucco veneered walls, a steeply pitched roof with two separate cross-gabled sections, and a two-story wing that is oriented diagonally from the main body of the house. Three of the four-floors are above grade and one is exposed on the back side via the sloping lot. The Iowa Beta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was chartered on April 20, 1916. It was the fraternity's fortieth local chapter. During World War II, part of the building was rented to female students as many male students left to join the military. A fire damaged the third floor in 1943. In 1952, the kitchen and the house mother's quarters were expanded. Journalist Robert L. Bartley resided here until his graduation from Iowa State in 1959. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The Enrollment Services Center is a building at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. It houses Offices in Enrollment Services: Admissions, Orientation, Records and registration. In 1978, the building was placed on the National Register of Historic places.

Iowa State University of Science and Technology (Iowa State University, Iowa State, or ISU) is a public land-grant research university in Ames, Iowa. Founded in 1858 as the Iowa Agricultural College and Model Farm, Iowa State became one of the nation's first designated land-grant institutions when the Iowa Legislature accepted the provisions of the 1862 Morrill Act on September 11, 1862, making Iowa the first state in the nation to do so. On July 4, 1959, the college was officially renamed Iowa State University of Science and Technology.Iowa State is the largest university in the State of Iowa by total enrollment. The Farm House, also known as the Knapp–Wilson House, is the oldest building on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Now a museum open to the general public, this house was built 1861-65 as part of the model farm that eventually became Iowa State. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964 for its association with agriculturist and teacher Seaman A. Knapp and with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture James Wilson, both of whom lived here while teaching at Iowa State.

The Food Sciences Building, formerly known as Dairy Industry Building, is a historic building on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, United States. The two-story, Bedford stone structure was designed by the Des Moines architectural firm of Proudfoot, Rawson & Souers. J. and W. A. Elliott Construction completed it in 1928. Additions to the original building were completed in 1962, 1991, and 1993. It was listed, along with its courtyard sculptures, on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Gilmour B. and Edith Craig MacDonald House is a historic building located in Ames, Iowa, United States. It is significant for its association with G.B. MacDonald, a leading figure in the Conservation Movement in Iowa, and as a fine example of American Craftsman architecture in Ames. MacDonald was a professor of forestry at Iowa State College, later renamed Iowa State University, from 1910 until his death in 1960. He also served as Deputy State Forester from 1918 to 1935, and as the State Forester from 1935 to 1957. He played a leading role in both forestry and soil conservation, and was an advocate for the relationship between forestry and soil erosion and farming. As Iowa's director of the Emergency Conservation Work program, MacDonald oversaw the Civilian Conservation Corps camps in the 1930s, all which were involved with reforestation or soil erosion control work at one time or another. Des Moines architect Robert G. McDowell designed the bungalow, which was completed in 1916. Appropriately, it is located on a wooded lot. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
