Marton Mere is a mere (lake) and Local Nature Reserve in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It is located near to the Blackpool districts of Marton and Mereside and the village of Staining. It is recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It supports various habitats such as open water, reed beds, grassland as well as pockets of woodland and scrub.The mere is a glacial freshwater lake. Originally approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) long and 1 mile (1.6 km) wide, the lake was gradually drained throughout the 18th century to allow land to be reclaimed for agriculture. It was drained further when Main Dyke was cut around 1850.The reserve is adjacent to Marton Mere Holiday Village.

The Harbour is a mental health hospital in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It is managed by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital provides in-patient mental health services for Lancashire.

Little Marton Mill is a 19th-century English tower windmill in Marton, Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It was built in 1838 by John Hays for grinding corn, and worked until 1928. It has been designated a Grade II listed building by Historic England.

Baines School is a secondary school in Poulton-Le-Fylde, Lancashire, England. It was founded through James Baines will in 1717 and is a former grammar school. It was one of three schools set up in Baines' will, the others being at Marton and Thornton. teaching around 100 pupils without charging fees. Baines will also provided payments to the poor of the area and apprenticeships.

Stanley Park Aerodrome was an airfield located in the Stanley Park area of Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It was also known as Blackpool Municipal Airport, and was in use for civil and military flying from 1929 until closure of the airfield in 1947. The site is now used by Blackpool Zoo.

Blackpool Zoo is a 32-acre (13 ha) zoo, owned by Parques Reunidos and located in the sea-side resort of Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It provides a home to over 1,350 animals from all over the world.

Salisbury Woodland Gardens is an open space located in the east of Blackpool, flanked by East Park Drive and Woodside Drive and linking Blackpool Zoo with Stanley Park. Known simply as the 'Woodland Gardens' to local people, the site was acquired in 1924 by Blackpool Corporation and was originally developed as a shelter belt for the adjacent Stanley Park Golf Course. The gardens were later developed in the 1940s as an arboretum and public open space for all to enjoy. It was renovated in 1967 by Peter Perry and his 'Flying Squad (see below). Popular once as a wedding photograph location, the site went into decline during the 1990s. The council's Ranger Service manage and protect the gardens which they took over in September 2006 and have been funding and undertaking the restoration of the woodland. In 1967, Parks Director Norman Leach appointed gardener Pete Perry and his Flying Squad of gardeners to plant up the gardens. All plants, (primulas, meconopsis, etc.) were grown from seed in the greenhouses at Stanley Park, and planted en masse. Extra shrubs, including azalea were also planted.

Blackpool Victoria Hospital, known locally as The Vic, is the main hospital for Blackpool and the Fylde Coast in Lancashire, England. It is managed by the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Grange Park is a council-built estate in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It consists of about 1,800 dwellings mostly 1940s and 1970s housing, with a population of over 6,000. It is one of the largest council estates in Lancashire, and for many years suffered from serious social disorder with a reputation within the town for crime and drugs. Following the establishment, in 1997, of a problem-oriented policing initiative the estate has seen a huge turnround resulting in a Government sustainable community award in 2005.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Blackpool, stands in Whinney Heys Road, Blackpool, Lancashire, England (grid reference SD332368). It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and now owned by Historic Chapels Trust. Locally it is simply known as 'The Shrine' or the 'Bishop's folly'. The 'White Church' is another Church building in Ansdell.

The White House is an historic building in the English market town of Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. It has been designated a Grade II listed building by Historic England. The property is located in Queen's Square, around 250 feet (76 m) to the southeast of the town centre and Market Place. A town house, with the ground floor now occupied by businesses, it was built in the mid-18th century, constructed of rendered brick with a cornice gutter and a slate roof. It is on a double-pile plan with three storeys. It has five bays and the first-floor casement windows are tall with glazing bars; the second-floor windows are smaller. The front entrance to the building is flanked by Doric pilasters.The White House was an early home of chaplain Harry Viener.

The Bull is a public house on Blackpool Old Road in the English market town of Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. The original pub, named The Black Bull Inn, was built in the 19th century and gave its name to the street on which it stood. Bull Street was renamed Blackpool Old Road in the 20th century. The pub was rebuilt in 1963.Poulton Freemasons originally met at The Bull, prior to moving to a purpose-built location in Market Place in 1900.
