Nostrand Avenue station (IND Fulton Street Line)

Nostrand Avenue was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line. It was originally built on April 24, 1888 and had 2 tracks and 2 side platforms. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and served as the eastern terminus of the line for a month and a week. Nostrand Avenue station had connections to at least four streetcar lines; The Nostrand Avenue Trolley, the Lorimer Street Line, the Marcy Avenue Line, and the Ocean Avenue Line trolleys. Under the Dual Contracts, the station was the west end of a project to expand the line from two to three tacks. On April 9, 1936, the Independent Subway System built the Nostrand Avenue Subway Station along the IND Fulton Street Line. The el station became obsolete, and it closed on May 31, 1940.

The Alhambra Apartments is an architecturally notable apartment building located on Nostrand Avenue in the Bedford–Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The building was designed by Montrose Morris and built by developer Louis F. Seitz in 1889–90. It is an early example in the United States of a multiple-family building designed with large apartments for affluent tenants. The building, which features six towers and loggias, gables, arcades and elaborate terracotta decorations is across Nostrand Avenue from the architecturally notable Girls High School.The Alhambra was landmarked by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1986.

Kismet Temple, also known as the Kismet Mosque and Friendship Baptist Church, is a historic meeting hall located in the Bedford–Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. It was built in 1909–1910 as the "Kismet Temple" of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine, commonly referred to as "Shriners". It was designed by R. Thomas Short in the Eclectic Moorish Revival style. Its front facade is constructed of yellow brick and limestone-like glazed terra cotta trim with elaborate Moorish decoration. The building was sold to Friendship Baptist Church in 1966. It is thought to be the oldest Shriners mosque still intact.: 3, 6, 10 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Renaissance Apartments is a historic apartment building located at Hancock Street and Nostrand Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York City. It was built in 1892 and is a five-story masonry building in the French Renaissance style. It features elaborately decorated principal facades and prominent circular corner towers with slate covered conical roofs. It has steeply sloped slate mansard roofs with terra cotta ridge caps and gabled roof dormers.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

A&A Bake & Doubles and Roti Shop is a Caribbean restaurant owned by Trinidadian immigrants Noel and Geeta Brown, located on Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. It is known for its doubles (curried chickpea sandwiches on fried flatbread), bake, roti, and other dishes. It was originally located on Nostrand Avenue at Macon Street, and moved to Fulton Street due to a dramatic increase in business, which has been in part attributed to the effects of gentrification in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Nostrand Avenue is an elevated station on the Long Island Rail Road's Atlantic Branch in the Bedford–Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. Trains leave every 12–15 minutes during peak hours and 30 minutes during off-peak hours until 11 p.m. Despite being a commuter rail stop, the station resembles a typical elevated New York City Subway station. Before the renovations began in 2018, the station featured white-on-black signage as found on the subway. They have since been replaced with black-on-white signage as seen at all other LIRR stations. Though originally built in 1877, the current elevated station was built between 1903 and 1905.

The Capitoline Grounds, also known as Capitoline Skating Lake and Base Ball Ground, was a baseball park located in Brooklyn, New York from 1864 to 1880. It was built to rival nearby Union Grounds, also in Brooklyn. The park hosted local amateur teams in its early history, but later hosted professional and semi-professional games. The park's only season as the home field for an all-professional team occurred in 1872 when the Brooklyn Atlantics joined the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players. The park was flooded during the winter and used as an ice skating park. The grounds were used by local high schools and colleges as well, to play American football games, and ice rink football matches.Many of organized baseball's earliest historical events took place at the park throughout the 1860s and early 1870s. The most notable event came on June 14, 1870, when the Atlantics defeated the Cincinnati Red Stockings to end their historic 84-game winning streak. Fred Goldsmith successfully demonstrated his curve ball at the grounds in 1870, a pitch previously thought to have been only an optical illusion. In an 1865 game, Ned Cuthbert is credited with inventing the slide when he tried avoiding a tag when attempting to steal a base against the Athletic of Philadelphia. In addition to baseball, the grounds hosted various events and exhibitions; most notably in 1873, when Washington H. Donaldson and two reporters attempted to fly a gas balloon across the Atlantic Ocean. The attempt turned tragic when the balloon crashed in Connecticut killing one of the reporters.

The Brooklyn Ice Palace in Brooklyn, NY was an indoor ice rink. The venue was used for multiple events over the years but it primarily functioned as a home for figure skating and ice hockey.

St. Bartholomew's Protestant Episcopal Church and Rectory is a historic Episcopal church and rectory located at 1227 Pacific St., east of Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York, New York. It was built in 1886 in the Romanesque Revival style. It is constructed of brick with stone trim and topped by a slate roof. It features a squat, battered stone tower crowned by an ogival, tiled roof. The two story brick and stone rectory features twin gables and ogival tower.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Imperial Apartments is a Renaissance style residential building at 1198 Pacific Street in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City. They were designed by architect Montrose Morris for the developer Louis F. Seitz in 1892. At the time of construction, single-family row houses were typical for the middle-class families. Changing attitudes in the late 19th century made it socially acceptable for families to live in the apartment house. Morris designed the Imperial to speak to these changing attitudes and introduced a high-quality of design and materials such as yellow and buff brick and terra cotta to the building seamlessly blending it in with the surrounding neighborhood of Grant Square.In the 1970s, New York City took possession of the building due to unpaid taxes. In 1986, it was designated as a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. A $6.3 million gut renovation occurred in the 1990s. It is also a contributing property to the Crown Heights North Historic District.
