Birrificio Angelo Poretti is an Italian brewing company located in Varese. The brewery was founded in 1877 by Angelo Poretti in Induno Olona. In 1939, the company passed to the Bassetti family, who owned the Splügen brewery in Chiavenna. In 1982 the Carlsberg Group bought 50% of the shares from the company, followed in 1998 by a further 25%. In 2002, the Danish group acquired the remaining 25% and thus obtained full ownership of the company from Induno Olona.

Cuasso al Monte is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Milan and about 6 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,252 and an area of 16.4 square kilometres (6.3 sq mi). It takes the name from the Lombard term Chaos, (den). Whereas the term "al monte" refers to the fact that it is situated at the foot of Monte Piambello. Cuasso al Monte borders the following municipalities: Arcisate, Besano, Bisuschio, Brusimpiano, Cugliate-Fabiasco, Marchirolo, Marzio, Porto Ceresio, Valganna. The Village makes part of the Cinque Vette Park and it lies at the foot of Monte Piambello.

The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. Train services are operated by the lombard railway company Trenord.

The hospital Filippo del Ponte (Italian: Ospedale Filippo del Ponte) is a hospital of Varese, Italy. From November 2011 hosts the activities of the Maternal Infant of the Presidium of Varese. It is part of the Azienda Ospedaliera Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi.
