AUT Law School

The MLC Building (also known as the Mutual Life & Citizens Assurance Company Building) is a heritage-listed building in Auckland, New Zealand. Located at 380 Queen Street, on the corner of Queen and Airedale Streets, opposite the Auckland Town Hall, the Art Deco building was completed in 1956, at which time it was the tallest building in Auckland.

Auckland Town Hall is an Edwardian building on Queen Street in the Auckland CBD, New Zealand, known both for its original and ongoing use for administrative functions (such as Council meetings and hearings), as well as its famed Great Hall and separate Concert Chamber. Auckland Town Hall and its surrounding context is highly protected as a 'Category A' heritage site in the Auckland District Plan.

ACG Senior College was a specialist, pre-university high school and part of ACG Education (formerly known as Academic Colleges Group) New Zealand. Previously located in the learning quarter of central Auckland, opposite the Central Library and near AUT and the University of Auckland. In December 2018, Senior College merged with ACG Parnell College at the newly-constructed Senior Campus in Newmarket.

The Basement Theatre is an Auckland theatre founded by Charlie McDermott in 2008. The theatre focuses on providing a venue for young people in the performing arts to enter the industry. Their priorities are making theatre accessible for both those who work in the industry and audience members. The building was previously occupied by Silo Theatre which vacated the premises in 2007. Charlie McDermott, Michelle Blundell, and Morgana O'Reilly were employed as bartenders at the time and raised funds over the summer to take over the space. The theatre saw the debut of actors who have since rose to prominence including Rose Matafeo and Tom Sainsbury. They are funded by Creative New Zealand, Foundation North and Auckland City Council. In 2018 they had hosted over 600 shows. In 2020, The Basement Theatre was forced to close for around 6 months because of COVID-19 restrictions, but at the end of the year they were able to stage a Christmas show, Le Basement XXXmas Cabaret.Current staffing includes Cat Ruka (Executive Director), Nisha Madhan (Programmer), and Trigg (Technical & Facilities Manager).

Aotea Square is a large paved public area in the CBD of Auckland, New Zealand. Officially opened in 1979 by Sir Dove-Myer Robinson next to Queen Street, it is used for open-air concerts and gatherings, and markets and political rallies. In November 2010, a major redevelopment of Aotea Square was completed. The square was redesigned to make it appropriate for use by crowds of up to 20,000 people.Its name is derived from Motu Aotea, the Māori name for Great Barrier Island, which is the largest offshore island of New Zealand, approximately 90 km from downtown Auckland.

Waharoa, also known as Te Waharoa o Aotea, is a public sculpture located in Aotea Square, the city centre of Auckland, New Zealand. The expressionist piece was designed by Selwyn Muru, and depicts a waharoa, a traditional Māori gateway in front of a marae ātea; the open meeting courtyard at a marae. Muru took elements from traditional Māori and Pacific art forms, as well as contemporary elements. The work was erected at Aotea Square in 1990, and relocated to its current position in 2010. Artist Mei Hill has described Waharoa as "probably the defining Māori artwork of scale in Auckland".

UP International College Auckland is a private school in Auckland, New Zealand, which provides pathways to tertiary study for international students. It has premises in Auckland City, in the central business district. The school has been restructured since the 2005 ERO review as part of an endeavour to provide better tuition for international students.

Auckland University of Technology (abbr. AUT; Māori: Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makau Rau) is a university in New Zealand, formed on 1 January 2000 when a former technical college (originally established in 1895) was granted university status. AUT is New Zealand's third largest university in terms of total student enrolment, with approximately 29,100 students enrolled across three campuses in Auckland. It has five faculties, and an additional three specialist locations: AUT Millennium, Warkworth Radio Astronomical Observatory and AUT Centre for Refugee Education.AUT enrolled more than 29,000 students in 2018,: 16  including 4,194 international students from 94 countries: 20  and 2,417 postgraduate students.: 19  AUT's student population is diverse with a range of ethnic backgrounds including New Zealand European, Asian, Māori and Pasifika.: 20  Students also represent a wide age range with 22% being aged 25–39 years and 10% being 40 or older.: 20 AUT employed 2,474 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff in 2016, including both professional and academic.: 23 Data suggests that 86% of AUT's graduates are employed full-time within nine months of graduating.: 35  In the 2019 World University Rankings, AUT was ranked as 301–350.

The Auckland Central City Library (Māori: Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero) is a public library located in the Auckland City Centre, New Zealand. The facility is the main branch of Auckland Libraries. The successor to the former central city library that was housed in the modern-day Auckland Art Gallery building, it was opened in 1971.

The St James Theatre is a heritage stage theatre and cinema located near Queen Street in Auckland, New Zealand. Built in 1928, it was a replacement for the older Fuller's Opera House and was originally designed for vaudeville acts. Its architect Henry Eli White also designed many other famous theatres in Australia and New Zealand including the St James Theatre in Wellington and the State Theatre in Sydney.The theatre has been closed since 2007 after a fire raised concerns about safety and compliance. Purchased by Relianz Holdings in 2014, it is a restoration project with an Auckland Council contribution of $15 million. Buildings on the adjacent sites were demolished by late-2016 to make way for the St James Suites, a 39-level, 309-apartment project. However, in July 2019, no work had been done on the theatre since 2015 after funding for the apartment complex was lost.The theatre is classified as a "Category I" ("places of special or outstanding historical or cultural heritage significance or value") historic place by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

Manu Tāwhiowhio: Bird Satellite is a public sculpture located on the corner of Mayoral Drive and Wellesley Street, outside the city campus of Auckland University of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand. The piece was created by New Zealand sculptor Brett Graham in 1996.

Waihorotiu (from the Māori Wai Horotiu), sometimes called the Waihorotiu Stream and the 'Queen Street River', is a stream that ran down the Queen Street gully in the Auckland CBD, New Zealand, into the Waitemata Harbour. It has long since been covered over and put underground by the urbanisation of the area.
