Beverly Hills is a neighborhood in the Northeast District of Baltimore, located between the neighborhoods of Moravia-Walther, Arcadia and Lauraville. Its boundaries are drawn by Harford Road (west), Weaver Avenue (south), Harcourt Road (east), Moravia Road (northeast) and Grindon Avenue (north).Most of the homes in Beverly Hills were built in 1929. The Beverly Hills Improvement Association was established during the same year to represent the interests of the neighborhood's residents.

Arcadia–Beverly Hills Historic District is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a cohesive residential suburb comprising approximately 30 irregularly shaped blocks containing some 900 buildings. They are primarily freestanding masonry and frame houses set back from the streets with small front yards. Early-20th century suburban architectural styles represented in the district include foursquare, bungalows, early suburban villas, Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Pueblo Revival. Also included are two churches, a 45-acre (180,000 m2) cemetery, and a variety of commercial buildings along Harford and Belair Roads. Herring Run Park provides a wooded park setting for the community. The earliest structure in the community was constructed in 1887, and the district had substantially achieved its existing form and appearance by 1950.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Sydenham Hospital for Communicable Diseases, also known as Montebello State Hospital or Montebello State Chronic Disease Hospital, was a hospital and is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was originally constructed in 1922–1924, and the campus consists of seven Italian Renaissance Revival style buildings: the main hospital building, the administration building, the kitchen, the nurses’ home, the laundry with servants’ quarters above, the garage, and the powerhouse. A residence for the Director of Medical Research was added in 1939. The campus was designed by noted Baltimore architect Edward Hughes Glidden.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.The patient records of Sydenham Hospital are held at the National Library of Medicine and showcase nature and treatment of communicable diseases in the pre-antibiotic era.The main hospital building was demolished in 2013 and an empty lot now sits in its place.

Mayfield is a quaint and historic community in northeast Baltimore, Maryland. It is bounded by Erdman Avenue on the south, Chesterfield Avenue on the north, Crossland Avenue on the east and Lake Montebello on the north and west. Homeowners belong to the Mayfield Improvement Association.

Lauraville is a neighborhood in northeast Baltimore, Maryland. The neighborhood is bounded on the east by Harford Road, on the north by Echodale Avenue, on the south by Argonne Drive and Herring Run Park, and on the west side by Morgan Park and Morgan State University, with East Cold Spring Lane passing through the center of Lauraville.

Lake Montebello is a reservoir located near Mayfield and Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello in Northeast Baltimore City in central Maryland. The lake was excavated and constructed in 1881, and nearby Montebello Filtration Plants 1 and 2 were completed in 1915 and 1928, respectively. The lake contains approximately 410 million US gallons (1,600,000 m3) of water, with a maximum storage of 606 million US gallons (2,290,000 m3). Today, the lake continues to act as a settling basin for what goes on in the filtration plant. A 1.3 mile bike and walking path lines the lake and are used as a recreational area for the surrounding community.

Morgan Park is a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, located immediately east of Morgan State University.

Hughes Stadium, also known as The Den, is a multi-purpose stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. It is primarily used for football and is home of the Morgan State Bears. The stadium opened in 1937 and currently has a capacity of 10,001. Hughes Stadium features two separate seating structures behind both sidelines.

Talmadge L. Hill Field House is a 4,250-seat multi-purpose arena in Baltimore, Maryland. It was opened in 1974, replacing Hurt Gymnasium, and is named for former Morgan State Bears men's basketball coach Talmadge L. Hill. It is home to the Morgan State University Bears men's basketball and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team. It hosted the MEAC men's basketball tournament in 1994 and 1995.

Located Baltimore, Maryland in Maryland, United States, Montibello. Montibello was the home of Samuel Smith, (July 27, 1752 – April 22, 1839) was a United States Senator and Representative from Maryland, a mayor of Baltimore, Maryland, and a general in the Maryland militia. He was the brother of cabinet secretary Robert Smith. The house was built in 1799 and torn down in 1907. It was situated where the modern Lake Montibello resides.

The Edward P. Hurt Gymnasium is a 1,000-seat gymnasium on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. The gymnasium, built just west of Hughes Stadium, was opened in 1950 and named for Edward P. Hurt, the longtime coach of the basketball, football and track teams at Morgan State. The gymnasium was the home of the Morgan State Bears men's basketball team from 1950 to the opening of Talmadge L. Hill Field House. Hurt Gymnasium was the site of the first interracial American basketball game played south of the Mason–Dixon line on February 12, 1952, which ended with a Bears' 65–63 loss to Loyola College in Maryland. Since the opening of Hill Field House, the building still serves as a field house for Hughes, as well as housing offices for the Health & Physical Education departments, intramural athletics and a practice space for visiting teams.

Morgan State University (Morgan State or MSU) is a public historically black research university in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the largest of Maryland's historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). In 1890, the university, then known as the Centenary Biblical Institute, changed its name to Morgan College to honor Reverend Lyttleton Morgan, the first chairman of its board of trustees and a land donor to the college. It became a university in 1975. Morgan State is a member of Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Although a public institution, Morgan State is not part of the University System of Maryland. It is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".
