Union Station (Ogden, Utah)

The Utah Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, located in Ogden, Utah, is a state-recognized museum which collects and presents artifacts of the American frontier. It is situated in Ogden Union Station, along with the Utah State Railroad Museum, John M. Browning Firearms Museum, Kimball Classic Car Museum, and Myra Powell Gallery. The Cowboy Museum contains the Utah Cowboy Hall of Fame, which is associated with the Ogden Pioneer Heritage Foundation.The museum plans to expand to include a research center in the future.The museum was established in 2012, with a grant from the state of Utah, to honor the cowboy, along with those men and women whose lives exemplify the independence, resilience and creativeness of the people who settled Utah and continue to champion the Western way of life. This includes artists, champions, competitive performers, entertainers, musicians, ranchers, writers, and persons past and present who have promoted the Western lifestyle. The museum was established under the auspices of the Ogden Pioneer Days Foundation, who asked Susan Van Hooser to chair the establishment of the museum. She and her committee only had about six weeks to accomplish that goal. It was only open for the month of July that first year, but by the following year the museum committee, with the help of a benefactor and the Foundation were able to find a location within the Union Station building, which is rapidly being outgrown. The museum endeavors to collect Western artifacts that paint a historical picture of the diversity related to the establishment and development of our Western ethic, including those accessories that are peculiar to the American cowboy. Although at present - June 22, 2018 - we do not have room for a library, we have collected quite a few books relating to Western history, arts and crafts, and reprints of old catalogues showing styles of spurs, saddles, hats and various western memorabilia. We also have quite a few books dealing with the history, culture and crafts of the Native American. In addition we have photographs, histories - oral and written - documenting Utah's Western culture and its people, including Native Americans. It is hoped that in the not too distant future, these items will be available for research purposes. Each year applicants for the Hall of Fame can be submitted. A committee of individuals not connected to the museum are provided with a packet for individuals submitted. Through an individual and private voting process, with up to three votes taken to narrow the field, the winners are determined. The first part of July the inductions are carried out at Union Station. Anyone interested can attend the induction ceremony free of charge.

Denver and Rio Grande Western 223 is a 2-8-0 "Consolidation" type narrow-gauge steam railway locomotive built for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad by the Grant Locomotive Works of Paterson, New Jersey in 1881-82. Number 223 was completed in December 1881, at a cost of $11,553. Baldwin built an additional 25 locomotives in the same class at the same time.

The New Brigham Hotel is a historic three-story hotel building in Ogden, Utah. It was built with red bricks in 1913 by the J.K. Eckert Construction Company, and designed in the Chicago School architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 14, 1979.It has also been known as The Toone Hotel.

Historic 25th Street is a historic district located in Ogden, Utah, United States, the lower portion of which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The Historic 25th Street neighborhood occupies three blocks of 25th Street, beginning at Wall Avenue on the west end and ending at Washington Boulevard on the east, with Lincoln and Grant Avenues transecting.

The Scowcroft Warehouse is a historic building in Ogden, Utah. It was built as a four-storey warehouse with a basement in 1900 for John Scowcroft and Sons, whose founder John Scowcroft converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England before immigrating to Utah with his family in 1880. He was the founder and namesake of this dry goods wholesale company in Ogden, and he was also a director of a beetroot sugar manufacturer in Northern Utah called the Ogden Sugar Company, which later merged with several companies to become the Amalgamated Sugar Company. The factory was designed by Ogden architect Leslie S. Hodgson and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.Scowcroft's son Heber was the president of John Scrowcroft and Sons, and he resided at the Heber Scowcroft House, also listed on the NRHP.

The Fairview Apartments in Ogden, Utah is a complex of buildings built in 1916. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. There are two contributing buildings in the listing.

Lindquist Field is a stadium in Ogden, Utah, United States. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the Ogden Raptors independent minor league baseball team of the Pioneer League.

The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in Ogden, Utah, United States was built during 1905 to 1909, with Classical Revival style. It served historically as a courthouse and as a post office. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Junction is a 20-acre (8.1 ha) entertainment, retail, office, and residential complex in downtown Ogden City, built on the site of the former Ogden City Mall. Its development has been coordinated and subsidized by Ogden City, in an effort to revitalize the city center for economic and cultural growth. The city has worked in partnership with the Boyer Company, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wells Fargo, and other private companies. The Ogden City Mall featured in the video for the pop music hit "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany Darwish.

Geffas Apartments is a historic three-story building in Ogden, Utah. It was built in 1922 for investor Theodore Geffas, an immigrant from Greece. Geffas was also the owner of the City Cafe, the Elite Cafe, and the Streetcar Lunch. He lived in the building with his wife, née Katie Storey and their three daughters; he died in 1955. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 31, 1987.

The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd is a historic church at 2374 Grant Avenue in Ogden, Utah. It was built in 1875 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
