Deeside Community Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Cymuned Glannau Dyfrdwy) is a community hospital in Aston Park, Flintshire, Wales. It is managed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Deeside (Welsh: Glannau Dyfrdwy) is the name given to a predominantly industrial conurbation of towns and villages in Flintshire and Cheshire on the Wales–England border lying near the canalised stretch of the River Dee that flows from neighbouring Chester into the Dee Estuary. These include Connah's Quay, Shotton, Queensferry, Aston, Garden City, Sealand, Broughton, Bretton, Hawarden, Ewloe, Mancot, Pentre, Saltney and Sandycroft. The population is around 50,000, with a plurality (17,500) living in Connah's Quay.Deeside is known for its industry, providing jobs for the people of Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales. The biggest employment area in Deeside is Deeside Industrial Park, located on the north bank of the Dee on the southern edge of the Wirral peninsula, which has both historical and contemporary significance, and provides Deeside and the surrounding area with jobs in many different industries from construction to food production. Deeside is also home to steel manufacturer Tata Steel and Toyota's highly advanced engine manufacturing plant.

Ewloe (; Welsh: Ewlo, [ˈɛʊlɔ] ) is a village and electoral ward in the community of Hawarden in Flintshire, Wales. It is situated close to the Flintshire/Cheshire sector of the Wales-England border. The A55 expressway passes through Ewloe and its most notable landmark is Ewloe Castle. The Ewloe electoral ward had a population at the 2011 Census of 5,420. The urban area of the village is contiguous with Hawarden, Buckley and Shotton. The Office for National Statistics deems Ewloe to form part of the Buckley built-up area, which covers much of Deeside.

Hawarden Rangers F.C. is a Welsh football club playing in Hawarden, Flintshire, after being founded in 1974 by Elwyn Owen. They currently play in the Ardal NW, the third tier of the Welsh football pyramid. The senior team were members of the North East Wales Football League Premier Division, following the restructure of the FA Wales Pyramid Structure and have previously been members of the Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) and prior to that, the Clwyd League. The Junior sections consist of teams ranging from U6 to U19, all of which compete in the Queensferry Sports Flintshire Junior and Youth League.

Shotton is a town and community in Flintshire, Wales, within the Deeside conurbation along the River Dee, joined with Connah's Quay, near the border with England. It is located 5 miles (8 km) west of Chester and can be reached by road from the A548. In the 2011 census, Shotton had a population of 6,663.

John Summers High School (formerly Deeside High School) was an 11–18 mixed, English-medium, secondary school and sixth form in Queensferry, Flintshire, Wales. It closed on 20 July 2017.Its sixth form education was provided through the Deeside Consortium, a group of three local high schools and the nearby sixth form college although Deeside College has now withdrawn from this consortium.

St Ethelwold's Church, Shotton, is in the town of Shotton, Flintshire, Wales. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Hawarden, the archdeaconry of Wrexham, and the diocese of St Asaph It is designated by Cadw as a Grade II listed building.

Shotton railway station serves the towns of Shotton and Connah's Quay, Flintshire, Wales. It is situated where the Borderlands Line crosses the North Wales Coast Line. All passenger services are operated by Transport for Wales, which manages the station. Shotton is split into two sections: Shotton High Level is above street level and serves the Borderlands Line; Shotton Low Level serves the North Wales Coast Line. Each level has two side platforms and both are double tracked. The tracks of the high and low levels cross each other at right angles. There is a ticket office on the high level Bidston-bound platform. The station is staffed on weekdays and Saturday mornings only.

Hawarden railway station (Welsh: Penarlâg) serves the village of Hawarden in Flintshire, Wales. It is situated on the Borderlands Line 10½ miles (17 km) north of Wrexham Central and all passenger services are operated by Transport for Wales. The station is unstaffed.

Deeside Leisure Centre is a sports centre located in Queensferry, Flintshire. Its facilities include Deeside Ice Rink (an Olympic-sized inline hockey rink), badminton courts, and squash courts. The ice rink is the National Centre for Ice Sports in Wales and is home to the Deeside Dragons, the Flintshire Phantoms and the Deeside Demons ice hockey teams. There has also been a new indoor skate park and gym added to the Leisure Centre.

Queensferry (Welsh: Fferi Buddug / Fferi Isaf) is a town and community in Flintshire, Wales, lying on the River Dee near the border. The community includes the village of Sandycroft. It is between Connah's Quay, Shotton and Saltney Ferry. Queensferry is also part of the wider Deeside conurbation.

Gladstone's Library, known until 2010 as St Deiniol's Library (Welsh: Llyfrgell Deiniol Sant), is a residential library in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales, UK.Gladstone's Library is Britain's only Prime Ministerial Library and the national memorial to William Ewart Gladstone.It is home to a collection of more than 250,000 printed items, including theological, historical, cultural and political materials.
