Craigsville is a town in Augusta County, Virginia, United States. The population was 923 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Staunton–Waynesboro Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Craigsville School, also known as Craigsville Grammar School, is a historic public school building located at Craigsville, Augusta County, Virginia. It was built in 1917, and is a large, two-story symmetrical rectangular brick building with a full double-pile, central-passage plan. It features a one-story, wooden entrance portico and original wooden belfry atop the low-pitched hipped roof in the Colonial Revival style. The school closed in 1968, and was converted to 14 apartments in 1982–1984. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Augusta Correctional Center was a state prison for men located near Craigsville in Augusta County, Virginia, United States. Owned and operated by the Virginia Department of Corrections, the facility opened in 1986 and had a working capacity of 1,222 prisoners held at a level 3 security level. Inmates must have no disruptive behavior for 2 years in order to be considered to be transferred to a less secure facility.

Estaline Schoolhouse is a historic one-room school building located at Estaline Valley, Augusta County, Virginia. It was built in 1909, and is a one-story, rectangular frame building with a gable roof. It measures 31 feet by 21 feet. The school closed soon after World War II. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Goshen and Little North Mountain Wildlife Management Area is a protected area located in Rockbridge and Augusta counties, Virginia. At 33,697 acres (136.37 km2), it is the largest Wildlife Management Area managed by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. The area comprises two parcels of land bisected by the Maury River; the lowest terrain is 1,326 feet (404 m) above sea level, while the highest is 3,400 feet (1,000 m). Three major mountains (Bratton, Forge, and Hogback) are found within the heavily forested area, in addition to a lesser amount of native herbaceous habitat. Goshen and Little North Mountain Wildlife Management Area lies adjacent to George Washington National Forest and the Goshen Pass Natural Area Preserve. It is open to the public for hunting, trapping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and primitive camping. Access for persons 17 years of age or older requires a valid hunting or fishing permit, or a WMA access permit.

Highland Wildlife Management Area is a 14,283-acre (22.3 sq mi; 57.8 km2) Wildlife Management Area in Highland County, Virginia. It consists of three separate tracts of land, centered on Jack Mountain, Bullpasture Mountain, and Little Doe Hill; elevations in the area range from 1,800 to 4,390 feet (550 to 1,340 m) above sea level.With the exception of an 80-acre (32 ha) clearing on Jack Mountain that was once used as summer pasture land, the area is nearly completely covered by upland hardwood forest, consisting mainly of oaks and hickories. The Bullpasture River flows through the area and is regularly stocked with trout. The area is carefully managed to enhance wildlife habitat, including maintaining small clearings as open space for wildlife, and encouraging the growth of mast-producing trees to provide food.Highland Wildlife Management Area is owned and maintained by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. The area is open to the public for hunting, trapping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and primitive camping. Trimble is an unincorporated community in Highland County, Virginia, United States. Trimble is located 7.7 miles (12.4 km) south of Monterey, Virginia. The community is situated along the Dry Branch, a tributary of the Jackson River, near a gap in Little Mountain through which the Dry Branch flows.

Moffett's Creek Schoolhouse is a historic public school building located near Newport, Augusta County, Virginia. It was built in 1873, as a two-room, frame schoolhouse. It sits on a fieldstone foundation and has a gable roof. An addition was built in the 1880s, creating an L-shaped plan. The school closed in 1923, and the property was sold to the Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
