The Federal Building, U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, Missoula, Montana, is a building housing various services of the United States federal government. Built between 1911 and 1913, an expansion initiated in 1927 and completed in 1929 allowed the building to serve thereafter as a courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of Montana. The building was again expanded in the 1930s, and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Hellgate Lodge 383 BPOE at 120 North Pattee Street in Missoula, Montana was built in 1911. Prominent Montana architectural firm Link & Haire of Great Falls, Montana designed the lodge for the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks after having designed the nearby Masonic Lodge (Missoula, Montana). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The building once housed features like bowling lanes and a shooting range. There have been many renovations to the building over the years, including a major first floor redesign by architect H. E. Kirkemo in 1950, but the exteriors of the floors above look much as they originally did.

The Forkenbrock Funeral Home, at 234 E. Pine St. in Missoula, Montana, is a Colonial Revival-style building which was built to serve as a mortuary and funeral home in 1929. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It was originally known as the Geraghty Funeral Home.

The Bluebird Building, also known as the Higgins Block, at 220-224 N. Higgins Ave. in Missoula, Montana, was built in 1889 at cost of $125,000 and was modified later. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.It included the Empress Theater.

The Florence Hotel is a seven-story Moderne-style building in Downtown Missoula, Montana, which was completed in 1941. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.Standing at 7 floors it is the 5th tallest building in Missoula. It is located at 111 North Higgins Avenue. Since its original construction in 1888, The Florence Hotel offered weary railway travelers and settlers a comfortable night's lodging. When it burned in 1913, The Florence was rebuilt as a major 106-room hostelry and was a longtime regional gathering place until it, too, was destroyed by fire in 1936. Missoula's lack of a major hotel had serious implications, and even though the nation was then in the midst of the Great Depression, Walter H. McLeod and other influential businessmen secured community support to rebuild. Constructed in 1941 on the same site as the two earlier buildings, today's Florence was brought to life by Spokane, Washington architect G.A. Pehrson who masterfully designed the $600,000 “jewel of a hotel” in its current Art Moderne style. For the next three decades the Florence continued to welcome visitors to downtown Missoula and Big Sky Country. In fact, “Howdy” met Hollywood when John Wayne famously slumbered at The Florence—adding to the romantic notion of the Wild West mingling with the opulent splendor of the hotel's signature style. The Florence was ahead of its time with the Northwest's first central air conditioning system, novel glass shower doors, underground parking for the growing number of Americans traveling by automobile, and first-class interior appointments in a “harmony of color.” The Florence remained a hotel until the 1970s when the building was transformed once again—this time into an office complex with retail businesses occupying the main floor. The current owner is a structural engineer from Dallas, Texas, Thomas Taylor, whose goal has been to maintain the building's "old-fashioned" aesthetic or "nostalgic charm".

Notes on the University of Montana's collection of Belmont Hotel registers say "The Belmont Hotel was located at 430 North Higgins Avenue in Missoula, Montana, and was in business from 1911 to 1972. For the most part it operated as a railroad hotel, offering, for example, in 1927, services such as steam heat, electric light, telephone service, hot and cold-water baths, and reasonable rates by day or week. The establishment had numerous proprietors; however, Mrs. Lena Walker, a.k.a. Mrs. Lena Smith managed the hotel for most of the period of this (1918-1950) collection, from 1932 until 1956."

The Hammond Arcade, at 101 S. Higgins Ave. in Missoula, Montana, was built in 1934. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.It includes aspects of Art Deco style. It is a one-story brick commercial building with five front bays and five bays facing north. It is topped by stepped, polychrome brick battlements.

The First Interstate Center, or First Interstate Bank Building, is a building in the heart of Downtown Missoula, Montana. It is located at 310 West Front Street. It is one of many post-modern buildings recently built in Missoula. Standing at 6 floors it is one of the tallest in Missoula, and with 118,000 square feet (11,000 m2) of space, it is the largest square footage office building in Missoula.
