Desert Island is a comic shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. The store focuses on underground and alternative comics, as well as independent and self-published comics sold through consignment. Desert Island also hosts the annual comic book festival Comic Arts Brooklyn, and publishes Smoke Signal, an independent comics anthology that has been nominated for an Eisner Award.

The Metropolitan Avenue/Lorimer Street station is an underground New York City Subway station complex shared by the BMT Canarsie Line and the IND Crosstown Line. Located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, the complex is served by the G and L trains at all times. The BMT Canarsie Line platforms, which are named Lorimer Street, are located above the IND Crosstown Line platforms, which are named Metropolitan Avenue. The Canarsie Line station opened in 1924, and the Crosstown Line station opened in 1937. Free transfers between the stations started in 1948.

Bamonte's is a family owned Italian-American restaurant at 32 Withers Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. Anthony Bamonte began running it in the 1960s, eventually bringing in daughter Nicole.It is said to have been a Mob hangout. In 2009, after he was released from a federal penitentiary, Anthony "Fat Tony" Rabito of the Bonanno crime family, was forbidden by his probation officer from returning to several Italian restaurants in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan, including Bamonte's. After Carmine Galante was murdered, they “closed down for a night and the heads of the five crime families held a celebratory dinner.”

Barcade is a chain of arcade bars with locations in the northeastern United States, Los Angeles, and Detroit. First opened in Brooklyn in 2004, the venues feature a mix of classic video games and pinball and serve American craft beers.

The City Reliquary is a not-for-profit community museum and civic organization located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The museum traces the history of New York City's five boroughs with its exhibitions of cultural ephemera and relics. Besides a permanent display of New York City artifacts, the City Reliquary also hosts rotating exhibits of community collections and annual cultural events.

REVERSE was an art space located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that served as a platform for new and experimental forms of expression. From 2012 to 2016, REVERSE provided emerging, mid-career, local and international artists with opportunities to create and exhibit new work. REVERSE hosts an ongoing open call for curatorial proposals. Andrea Wolf, artist and Director of REVERSE, described the space: “[REVERSE] is a place where young curators will have an opportunity to take risks that wouldn't be accepted in more conservative galleries.” Since its inception, REVERSE has worked collaboratively with outside curators, including AD Projects and Christian Berman, to produce numerous exhibitions and programs, including The Impossible Project (curated by NY based artist Renzo Ortega) and REVERSE Open Lab. Through its Artist Community, REVERSE supports a select group of artists who feature regularly in its exhibitions and projects. Members include: CHi KA, Melissa F. Clarke, Brandon Friend & Jason Douglas Griffin, Daria Irincheeva and Alexsey Yudzon.

Pete's Candy Store is a New York City performing space, bar and club located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. It is located at 709 Lorimer Street, between Frost Street and Richardson Street. Notable acts associated with the venue include Lizzie West, The Reverend Vince Anderson and Will Oldham. Pete's hosts a weekly trivia and weekly open mic night, and monthly reading, poetry, LGBTQ+, comedy, and performance nights alongside a calendar of nightly free musical performances. It was the New York City home of pastor Jay Bakker's Revolution church.
