Ascenzi Square is a small plaza formed by the intersection of two street grids that meet at Metropolitan Avenue in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. Roebling Street traverses both grids, making a slight jog to the southwest between North Fourth Street and Metropolitan Avenue. On March 29, 1939, the New York City Council designated this triangle as Ascenzi Square, in honor of brothers Joseph and William Ascenzi, residents of Williamsburg who were killed in the First World War.Following their deaths, the local American Legion Post 1204 was renamed the Ascenzi Post and in 1938, this organization requested the renaming from the City Council. The two traffic triangles formed by Roebling Street were designated as a Greenstreets park around 2000. Greenstreets is a partnership between the New York City Parks Department and the city Department of Transportation that transforms unused traffic triangles and medians into green spaces.

Wagmag, a Brooklyn Art Guide, is a free monthly listings magazine with information about Brooklyn's numerous contemporary art galleries, including opening receptions and exhibitions. The magazine serves the communities of: Bedford–Stuyvesant, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Bushwick, Carroll Gardens, Clinton Hill, Cobble Hill, Dumbo, Fort Greene, Gowanus, Greenpoint, Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Red Hook and Williamsburg. Wagmag is printed and online, listing gallery venues with a 16-page pamphlet publication that lists each month's art, the reviews, how to get about, and a special section for openings and events. Wagmag is produced by "ARTfront, Inc." a not-for-profit organization and so can be taken for free. The expanded guide also includes critics' suggestions of exhibits to see as well as a website that has exhibition details.

Semilla was a restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in the U.S. state of New York. The business operated from 2014 to 2017. José Ramírez-Ruiz was the chef and owner. Semilla served American cuisine and had received a Michelin star.

Macri Triangle is a 0.57 acres (0.23 hectares) park located at the intersection of Meeker Avenue, Union Avenue, and Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York City. The property was designated as a park in 1946 during the construction of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, which resulted in the demolition of buildings along its route and the extension of Meeker Avenue from Richardson Street south to Metropolitan Avenue, serving as the expressway's service road. As the highway ran through the street grid, triangular parcels that were too small to be developed were designated as public plazas, including this one. In 1971, the City Council passed Local Law 54 that named this site as Macri Square, in honor of Luigi A. Macri (1909–1962), a resident of Williamsburg who died in 1962. Macri was a dedicated member of the nearby American Legion Post 1751, which maintained the Second World War memorial inside this park.

Dig (formerly Dig Inn) is an American chain of locally farm sourced restaurants that was founded by Adam Eskin. In 2011, the first Dig restaurant was opened in New York City. As of January 2019, the chain has 26 restaurants in New York City, Rye Brook, and Boston. The company opened its first Philadelphia location in 2019.

Glasslands Gallery (or simply Glasslands) was a music venue, dance club and art space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Glasslands was founded by Brooke Baxter and Rolyn Hu in 2006, as a relocation of Baxter’s earlier art space in the same building, Glass House Gallery. Hu and Baxter held the lease on the Glasslands space until 2012, when they made a turn key sale to Rami Haykal and Jake Rosenthal of PopGun presents, who had been managing bookings since 2009, and day-to-day operations since 2010. PopGun owned the business and lease for two years, until the venue was displaced to be converted into Vice Media‘s office headquarters. As a concert venue, Glasslands was one of the longest-running of several 2000s independent creative venue spaces in the vicinity of the Williamsburg waterfront, which included 285 KENT, Death By Audio, Secret Project Robot, Monster Island Basement, B.P.M., Live With Animals Gallery, the Rock Star Bar, and many others.

PopGun Presents is an events production/promotion, music curation and venue management collective based in Brooklyn, NY. It was founded in 2008 by Rami Haykal and Jake Rosenthal.The PopGun Presents website features event photo galleries and a blog publishing periodic playlists, music features, and artist interviews.

As of June 2021, the Vice Media Group included five main business areas: VICE.com (digital content); VICE STUDIOS (film and TV production) VICE TV (also known as VICELAND); VICE News; and VIRTUE (an agency offering creative services). It was cited as the largest independent youth media company in the world, with 35 offices.Developing from Vice magazine, originally based in Montreal and co-founded by Suroosh Alvi, Shane Smith, and Gavin McInnes, Vice expanded primarily into youth and young adult–focused digital media. Vice re-located to New York City in 2001. Vice Media originally broadcast their news programs on HBO, which broadcast the Emmy-winning weekly documentary series Vice, which premiered in April 2013. They also broadcast Vice News Tonight, which premiered 10 October 2016, showcased a nightly roundup of global news, technology, the environment, economics, and pop culture while eschewing traditional news anchors. However, on 10 June 2019, HBO announced the news program's cancellation in addition to ending relations with Vice Media, after a seven-year partnership.In August 2019, it was reported that the company was laying off staff, as part of a shift towards news that would involve merging VICELAND and VICE News.
