Oake is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated 5 miles (8.0 km) west of Taunton. The village has a population of 765.The parish includes the hamlet of Hillfarrance on Hillfarrance Brook a tributary of the River Tone, and the villages of Hillcommon and Heathfield. The Sustrans cycle route 3 from Bristol to Padstow passes through the village, as does the route of the Grand Western Canal.

Tone Vale Hospital was a psychiatric hospital located approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the north west of Norton Fitzwarren, near Taunton, Somerset, England, in what is now the village of Cotford St Luke. It covered a large catchment area, with patients originating from places as far apart as Porlock (on the north western edge of Somerset) and Yeovil (on the south eastern edge).

The old asylum buildings were either demolished or converted into housing commencing in the late 1990s.

It has an overshot waterwheel and has been designated as a Grade II listed building.Since 2000 the building has been renovated and was opened by the town Mayor in 2003.The water wheel weighs over two tonnes and is driven by water from Back Stream which originates in the Brendon Hills.The museum focuses on traditional trades and crafts including a wheelwright's shop, cooper's shop, saddler's shop, blacksmith's shop and a Victorian kitchen.
